Outer Wilds | What would happen if we duplicate duplicated scout in High Energy Lab (Let's find out)

Let's see what happens to the scout after it goes through ATP's Black Hole and then duplicating it inside of a High Energy Lab.

I'm still disappointed that he ATP scout that came out of the white hole can't be found anywhere

Maybe it's just for me, I don't know, I tried to find it, even followed it with map but with no success, even tried in Dark Bramble and when I exited the Dark Bramble the scout was spinning like crazy for some reason.

just realised you shouldn't be able to see the black hole close in the ATP, as you are following your memories as they are sent though the black hole to yourself in the past.

Actually, your memories are sent back but you aren't sent back. When you see the nomai cutscene, it is because you died. Therefore, nothing is stopping you from surviving a little longer after the supernova in order to see the black hole closing.

@@oriolejb9774 what he means is, until the ATP core is removed to be taken to the nomai ship to get to the eye, technically every loop we play prior to that is the hearthian reliving his memories.
every loop is a dream until you break the loop.
in which case, the hearthian would never see the ATP black hole close since his memories would be cut off AS the hole closed.

For that matter, shouldn't it also be impossible for the main character to wake up remembering the supernova, at least once it expands beyond the Twins?

Yeah, it's a glitch that you can't find it in the ATP.

One thing I got used to doing while waiting for the sand to fill in on the hole to the power lab was pretty much lighting up the entire city and opening every door... It doesn't really do anything but it's a nice time waster that makes me less board than sitting on my hands...

You should try this, but only breaking spacetime at the very end of the loop, right before the supernova hits you, that way you get two overalying you broke spacetime endings

But what if you manage to die during the time that the three probes are present ?
Does the ATP probe paradox override the High Energy Lab one ?

Technically every time you go into the ATP without deactivating it you would break the fabric of space time considering there is air inside, and by existing within the space you would disrupt the gasses and cause different atoms to get sent back in time.

what if you first duplicate the scout, however in the next loop you leave the duplicated scout behind and throw yourself into the blackhole? i'm curious about if you can also break the spacetime by doing so or not, because you are already in a new loop before the scout is destroyed?

I tried and it still broke spacetime, but in a way that I haven’t seen before (the usually dark screen turned white with cracks in it). Interesting experiment. It’s crazy that the game really accounts for everything!

@@Mr.Sneeze All they have to do is make the game break spacetime any time you do anything with the wormhole. Because sending anything in will break spacetime if you don't do it every time.

@@Mr.Sneeze the reason why this happens is because if you duplicate the probe and then do not send the probe through to have been duplicated, causality is broken. The same thing happens if you die by any means during the loop after you send the probe through the ATP.

Such great detail. It's like making a promise to the Universe if you ever send something back in time, and if you don't forfill that promise everytime, the Universe pays the price for you breaking that promise.

Nah, what I was trying to see is what happens when you duplicate scout in ATP and in next loop while having that duplicated scout, duplicate it in High Energy Lab, hope that makes sense :D
