OUTER WILDS but it's the ALPHA

I played the alpha a billion years ago when Scott Manley did a video on it.
Now I'm finally playing it, with full knowledge of how impactful everyone's found the ending.
It's so weird watching this again, remembering how fun and low-stakes it felt, and yet realizing all these deeper plot elements were already there, being piloted and mocked up for the final game

it does a pretty good job of showing off what they wanna do as a game.

looks pretty finished to me tbh , looks like they just needed to add some story and redesign the art/ui for it to be close to done

Outer Wilds Alpha feels like im playing a PSP game

That supernova looks so much cooler, sadly it wouldn't match the artstyle so I understand the change.
Imagine that huge explosion sound every time though 😂

The music sounds less ethereal in this version but Im glad most of the game was built around the music

Yeah! I used a site called the wayback machine to access the Mobius website in 2015, and the download link was on there! I believe there’s a guide on Steam that has the link you need!
