You guys are not remembering. Daemon did told them how aemond look like, he said silver hair 1 eye and that he can fight.
Secondly, blood and cheese were very strict about following orders. A son for a son. That why he said "he said a son, does that look like a fucking son to you?" when they had Helena.
So if they wanted to kill whomever, then they wouldnt be so strickd about "not killing helena".
They did had orders to kill "any son".

He did genuinely care for Viscerys. He admired him but he felt Viscerys should not break tradition by keeping Rhaenyra as heir. He is definitely ambitious but that's what it means to be Hightower. The family was pushing for advancement so he pushed Alicent toward the king and then pushed Aegon toward the throne. Even when he speaks of disagreeing with Viscerys he is kind. Daemon is cruel when he talks about Viscerys. However Otto definitely did cause most of the problems.v

When Cheese asked Daemon what if they couldn't find Aemond, the scene cuts before he responds, but Blood says when they are holding Helena that he said "son for a son" so Daemon 100% gave this as an option, he just kept plausible deniability.

Rhaenyra is taking blame because it was done on her behalf. This is exactly what Otto warned Alicent of last season and why she was so scared for her children’s life. It doesn’t matter if Rhaenyra says no or doesn’t know about it, the attack will be done in her name. Which is why the line in the sand was drawn between Green & Black during Driftmark. It was when Alicent’s fears & Otto’s words came into fruition. Her children will always be in danger as long as Rhaenyra is alive and they had a claim to the throne. Aemond was almost killed & nobody cared except Alicent.

Aemond was almost killed? Bruh he had beaten the shit of 4 younger children at once, and you still think he was the victim 😂😂 you are funny. Alicent's children wouldn't be in danger if they stayed in their lane, but they didn't. The green underestimated Rhaenyra because she is a woman, they really thought they can steal her throne, kill her child and she would come and bend the knee to the usurper. And Otto warned his daughter because he knew what he was doing will start a war like imaging stealing the throne from someone who has a dragon and think they will not react.

Aemond claimed a dragon, which was his right, dragons are NOT passed from parent to child. 4 other kids ganged up and attacked him FIRST for claiming that dragon because they were jealous, and he defended himself, and then Lucerys pulled a knife and cut his eye out. Aemond was literally the victim in every way. They assaulted him physically first, and permanently disfigured him without being punished at all. People really can’t see why alicent can’t physically comfort aegon just don’t get her & her character. She’s never been shown that love so she doesn’t know how to give it. She feels guilty for being with criston during b&c. Her son is a rapist who was conceived from marital rape. We literally saw her craving her father’s comfort & help this episode and he turned her down every time. I hate the comparisons between her & rhaenyra as mothers. Rhaenyra’s kids were born from love and had multiple sources of it. Alicent’s kids were born from marital rape and ignored by their father. We see her very sad while watching Aegon grieve but walks away because she physically doesn’t know how to help him. It’s trauma being passed down. And we see her assaulting Criston because she also blames him but he also comforts her & gives her temporary relief from her shitty life

As I saw it Ser Arryk (assasin) was the one who lived and killed his brother Ser Erryk. As told in the books there's multiple accounts as to what happened and how the dual of the twins ended. which is why the show relies so heavily on that implication that you cant tell whos who. What the writers wanted us to know is that it doesn't even matter which is which because all that mattered in the end was they both die. Theres a certain element of poetry that cant really be replicated visually as opposed to reading and allowing our minds to create the visualization of it all ourselves since our minds are more creative than our eyes alone.

Regardless of who gave the final order, the responsibility still falls on Rhae as the Queen.. just like her own son's death is partially her responsibility because she gave the order as Queen. If she had stayed at the table and formed a plan instead of making a vague command and walking off, things would have played out differently too.

    • @scholgirl29
      @scholgirl29 21 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

She did not give vague commands. She made extraordinarily clear who she wanted.”I want Aemond Targaryen”. Those are the only four words she said the entire episode. How else are you supposed to take that? I’m not sure if she can be any more clear. She’s also not responsible for her son‘s death. In the world of Westeros messengers are legally protected. Not harming a guest in someone’s home is one of the oldest rules throughout all of Westeros. People regardless of their social know not to violate it. And the few who do are vilified forever. It’s why the Baratheon Lord kicked both of Luke and Aemond out of his house screaming “not in my hall”. He didn’t want to be held responsible if a guest is harmed in his home. So there’s no possible way that she would’ve anticipated that he was going to be harmed while he was at storm’s end. It wouldn’t have even entered anyone’s mind. So blaming her for the death of her son and her nephew is literally nuts. How about you blame the men who are actually responsible for that? The first being Aemond, who chased a 14-year-old on a nuclear weapon without thinking of the consequences. The second being Damon who hired literal idiots to assassinate Aemond late minute with no planning who implied that they can go after any son they wanted if they could not find Aemond and said idiots who did the killing. Blame the idiots who chose not to listen and or chose not to think before acting.

strongly disagree abt alicent and cersei comparison. comparatively, yes, both were born into high standing yet married against their will to a king, and both had “sinful” relationships, but that’s where the similarities end.
cersei is demonstrably cruel from a very young age (ex: how she treated her younger brother tyrion) and the only exception to this cruelty and hunger for power are her children, whom she clearly loves more than anything else.
alicent, in contrast, didn’t want the power of the throne (otto did), she is demonstrably gentle towards others from a young age even to those others wouldn’t spare (the handmaid that aegon raped), and the seemingly only exception to this is how she treats her children. she’s neglected or abused aegon his entire life, repeatedly been shown forcing helaena into uncomfortable situations (from simple touching, which helaena has always flinched at, to forcing her to marry her terrible brother instead of jace, who would have treated her more kindly and probably saved the kingdom from war), she’s never even mentioned daeron (lol), and while we saw her being attentive to aegon when he was younger, clearly he also was neglected on some level that he would be going to a brothel to be mothered. i mean i love alicent but she’s a TERRIBLE mother, and i hate cersei, but that woman did love her kids.
additionally, cersei was extremely unashamed of her love for her brother, whereas alicent is so wracked with guilt she thinks the gods punished her by decapitating her grandson.

This is a great episode. Very intense and emotional Aemond upset declared war. As Alicent grieves over the loss of her grandson. As Otto want to use the death of Jaehaery as a political tool to gain sympathy so the people of Kings Landing will be in their favor. Casting blame on Rhaenyra. But Aegon had Blood, Cheese, and the other Ratcatchers killed, which resulted in deaths of many innocence that the Green could lose trust and faith in the residents of Kings Landing. I feel bad for Helaena that her son is being used as a political tool to spread propaganda that Rhaenyra is evil.
Criston Cole got some nerve blaming Arryk for the death of Jaehaery where it was his fault for abandoning his duty to have sex with Alicent and leaving Helaena and kids unguarded and unprotected and sent Arryk on a mission which was pretty much a death sentence.
Because of Daemon actions. Rhaenyra claim to the throne is diminish. I feel bad for both Arryk and Erryk, where both had to fight each other because of their duties on both serving the Nobles. I'm usually not a fan of Otto but can feel his frustration a little bit. I wasn't surprised Aegon removed Otto from being his hand. But to give the position to Criston Cole was shocking. But the look on Otto face was hilarious. I'm looking forward to Daeron. I hope you two have a wonderful day. Stay safe, take care and stay amazing Mair and Sophie.
