95% of the sellers on Whatnot are honest good people. I have been buying on Whatnot for 2 years now and havent had 1 single issue. Yes there are a couple bad apples, but its not like people make it out to be.
I would have to disagree, there are very VERY few sellers who are honest. The ENTIRE business of pokemon cards is buying low from someone who is in financial hardship regardless of how they got there, and selling for at market or higher. "making margins" right? So the lower you can buy, and the higher you can sell your profits are bigger. I'm not saying every seller is a scammer, but 99% of them if not 100% over value their cards, hide damage when they show it off, don't call out any damage when they review, it's always "I'm gonna show you" , "yea it's LP + to NM" wtf does that even mean, just CALL OUT the damage. You know cell phone cameras are not picking up every single nook and crany of damage on these cards. So yea they may not outright be scamming people but they are 100% putting on a show to act like their shit don't stink when it does.
whatnot is one of the few platforms that protects its seller, its just sad that so many sellers abuse it. But the opposite happens on ebay that protects its buyers, the buyers abuse the system. Just to many scummy people, thanks for bringing light to these issues and bad people.
Sad to see as a what not seller if even 1% of a pack goes off screen for me I instantly feel stressed. You have to treat people how you wanna be treated.
Wait a minute. I just recently got back into pokemon. Are you telling me people are now willingly shipping their unopened packs to streamers so they can open them for them???? If true, then they deserve to get scammed 🙄
you can easily tell when he first reveals it the glacion ear is not in the white part and then he, fumbles and reveals it again to show that there is now a ear in the white part at the top left.
On why it keeps happening with Korean? It’s probably because it’s a lot cheaper of a booster box so that in turns allows any scummy random to do rip n ships
This is why if i EVER do whatnot or etc, I make it a Requirement to Keep All Pack inview of the Camera if they are removed from Camera, Ill do a Charge Back to my Card
Disappointing that small sellers like this are out there and are tarnishing us honest sellers who keep everything on camera and ship everything buyers paid for carefully. This is why small sellers struggle, and I get it. Why would buyers trust small sellers since there are people like this?
Idiots lol. I get there are legitimate sellers on there that wanna start up but him not having the cards showing the entire time on the camera is very obvious he's trying to scam
Using whatnot for pokemon barely even makes sense. Sports cards makes sense. Some of the hobby boxes are like $1000+ on release so nobody can afford it or especially to break a case of it but pokemon is like 60 bucks a booster boxes or whatever unless its vintage. Why have these weirdos with 17 viewers open modern packs for you.. Even sports the big 3 is filled with scammers. My niche sport doesnt have any weirdness going on but we don't have big chases anyway really
This has happened to me I picked a number when they opened the box they sent me completely different product that was much cheaper than the item I purchased then gave me some bs excuse said they would send me the item and never did
This is why I ALWAYS keep the cards on camera. And don’t trust anyone that takes packs out of camera before showing them. You also have to watch out for people that purposely damage cards and some even do it on camera. But Whatnot has been getting better at following up on reports from what I’ve seen.
This is exactly why i find sellers who keeps packs in front of cameras at ALL time. Not all sellers are like this on WN, find your favorite sellers that has good vibes and a good following.
I never understand buying packs to be opened by someone else. Not only can you get scammed easily, but ripping the pack is half the fun especially for expensive packs. I see people spend like $500 on vintage packs just for the content creator to open it themself.
He could have switched it but the card has the same 2 white marks on the top left as the card he pulled in the end. Dont know pokemon cards but it looks to be the same to me.
Scammer. It was obvious what card it was, you could see the colour and it didn’t match the swap out. I would chargeback on every single order I had made with this individual. He hyped it up and then played it down after he came up with a plan to swap it out

His whatnot acc is still there unfortunately
95% of the sellers on Whatnot are honest good people. I have been buying on Whatnot for 2 years now and havent had 1 single issue. Yes there are a couple bad apples, but its not like people make it out to be.
agreed, there are bad sellers (and buyers to be fair) on every platform…
95% of sellers in the black market are honest and hard working people too! 😂
@@nightzwizard5719 lol your comment makes no sense and has nothing to do with what i said
I would have to disagree, there are very VERY few sellers who are honest.
As a legit whatnot seller the fact of how many times he takes those packs on and off screen is a huge red flag as well…lol like wtf bro
his doing something with the packs ''the sounds''..
People paying to see people open stuff they purchased is a concept I’ll never understand… they honestly deserved to get scammed
whatnot is one of the few platforms that protects its seller, its just sad that so many sellers abuse it.
I never even thought of that when buying on whatnot. Thanks for spreading the word.
you can easily tell when he first reveals it the glacion ear is not in the white part and then he, fumbles and reveals it again to show that there is now a ear in the white part at the top left.
You can see the color of the top of the card changes. First it's obviously moonbreon greenish blue. Then it's not the next time you see it.
I dont how whatnot hasnt come up with a mandatory rule to stream you need a second point of contact on the view of cards so this does not happen.
Whatnot also will send you resealed packs of cards on older packs
Is that a common thing, card swaps on whatnot pulls? We only just got whatnot in the U.K. so haven’t really been on the platform.
Rattle can you please post a list of all of the Blake Martinez associated streamers and all please?
And eBay usernames please
Why even swap it on livestream? Just don't ship the card? If you're going to steal at least do it in a smart way.
Who is buying cards from this guy to begin with?
Idiots lol. I get there are legitimate sellers on there that wanna start up but him not having the cards showing the entire time on the camera is very obvious he's trying to scam
New collectors maybe
I just looked it up and he has another without the underscore.
The amount of time spent off camera is insane.
Being able to watch a streamer on Whatnot destroy his career in real time would have been such a pleasure. I hope the dude got his card though.
Why does he have 5 stars still and is still platformed????!
You don't take the cards out of sight after you show your hand.
Scammer. It was obvious what card it was, you could see the colour and it didn’t match the swap out. I would chargeback on every single order I had made with this individual. He hyped it up and then played it down after he came up with a plan to swap it out
In be4 the upcoming offstream moonreon pull that he sells on his eBay
Yea whatnot is horrible I’ve purchased around 6 old packs all from different sellers they were all reseals, thankfully tho whatnot has a good customer service so i got my money back on all
It should be in their T&C's if you on purpose take the pack off screen for more than a few seconds without showing the entire pack its a ban
It was a Moonboy 110%, you dont get that excited over anything else in that set. Plus you can see the green on top of the card
Im not even into pokemon or collect and i saw it was moonbreon lol
Don’t trust anyone who can’t keep all the products on the camera from start to finish
After 6 months of wasting money i learned whatnot is best if you buy the products directly
I've spent some time on whatnot to try it out. Aside from these type of individuals stealing, Your lucky if you get your cards weeks later.
Where did you get the hat?
You can immediately tell from opening till he shows it again that he swapped it
Whatnot should really fix there setup to fit for multiple camera angles. Its just ripe for scams.
I understand wanting to be part of like, a vintage box break but why *do* people pay others to open modern packs?
That was highly suspicious! That is awful, I hope WhatNot shuts this down
Can someone explain this,,,why are they paying someone to open their pack....if i understand that they're buying them? or are they just buying a spot in a "giveaway"?...just go buy your own packs im kinda confused
WTF is this guy thinking, these aren't even 1/1 cards like in sports cards. And to pull a pack off the screen thinking no one is going to suspect anything 😂
Dude makes us honest sellers on whatnot look like crap. PS whatnot doesn't only sell cards. Platform for many items and it's not only crappy people like him. I sell on there and I don't dupe my sellers. That's crap.
I hate when scammers / liars get super defensive when they are called out for what they did.
Sellers should NOT be able to hide past stream videos. It allows the community to self audit like this.
all they have to do is have a top down cam that records the entire desk. when something like this pops up, they would have proof of honesty.
Definitely enough evidence, disgusting...
3:34 he stopped giving a fuck and just swapped it😂😂😂
Is this the A2z store in Illinois?
The moment the pack goes off screen = Instant red flag every time
