When did pressing charges become cause for backlash?? Guy intentionally stole $20k and got caught. Press charges and hold not only him, but people who plan to do this in the future accountable. Society needs to get back to punishing people for breaking the law
Insanely awful fake apology. Should 100% be blacklisted from all events for life. That's literally more than a min wage worker makes in an entire year and he yoinked it in 5 seconds.
I could understand if he wanted to search the whole floor of the whole con, but he just needed a specific time-frame AFTER hours that covered his specific area.
Sounds like Gamestop lol they would say the best we can do is 2 dollars cash or 5 dollars in trade-in value with a free sticker and no apology note. 🤡 🤡
To me the video apology makes it worse. Not only is he trying to downplay his crime, but he's making himself out to be a victim. It just shows what a disgusting person he is.
Nothing but a bunch of bs and crocodile tears. Once a thief, always a thief. Kick rocks. It’s not like he stole $100…he stole $20k plus…that’s not something that’s taken lightly. And him taking advice from an attorney? Here’s advice…take the “back lash” because you could and should be in jail.
I mean as a kid I stole a pack gum and a pack of pokemon cards I cried the whole way home never did it again so that's not always true but I get what you mean
His life has been about scamming others from the beginning… he runs a pyramid scheme, takes all of the “successful” edited photos with wife and kids, then goes to conferences and speaks about money….the writing has been on the wall this entire time. People like him are master manipulators, just look at his “apology” video….he legit tries to make you feel sorry for him, talks about undeserved hate, “defamation” when it’s clearly facts….and not once does he ever come out like a real man of integrity and say “I stole the money” instead he covers it with “I held on to it for an extended period of time” He’s lucky the person he stole it from was a nice dude otherwise Mr no-wang would’ve been in the hospital for an extended period of time.
Holy shit, he actually says in the very beginning that he took the bag of cash not knowing whos it was!!!? Then the entire rest of the day into the next the group hes staying with and doing the convention with are focused on the cash he took! The guy is a flat out criminal, what a absolutely insane "apology". Unfortunate the guy didnt press charges, definitely got cought up in the moment but damn thats a shame. What a horrible person😂
He describes it as "a minor lack of judgment". And that's what makes it worse. It was a theft, pure and simple and he can't own it, but he wants forgiveness. It doesn't work that way. Be a man. Own it. THEN, ask for forgiveness.
He's only sorry he got caught. He had multiple opportunities to come clean. He knew what he was doing. The fact that he didn't contact the police after finding the bag to help find the owner and spent some of the money shows what kind of person he is.
Have we gotten to that point already, were vendors are stealing from other vendors? Man that is just low, and I thought game stores stealing from other game stores was bad. I mean, I’m a vendor and I would never do something to a fellow vendor, Who’s just trying to make a living .
These absolutely no way “random strangers are verbally threatening his family” UNLESS maybe he’s hanging out around card shops or places. There’s no way a stranger at target knows him.
That guy needs to reach out to the Asian man and ask for the rest of his money. It’s never too late and tell him that he will press charges if he doesn’t pay the rest of the money. And if he gets paid back still press charges, I don’t think it’s too late. There’s no reason this guy should get away with what he did and he still lied about the situation online he needs to be taught lesson.
Damn 20k would break this young vendors early career. Glad he got the money back and man makes you wonder of all the things that happened before cameras were everywhere. Still thinking about that kid who stole from that other Pokemon Vendor and seemed so comfortable with it.
Stealing that much money is a felony in most states, not just a random petty crime lol. "Didn't know who's it was, said no I didn't see any bag of cash when asked" lmfao dude just own up to it 🤦♂️
What's even more wild is this was felony theft. Idk how it works in the states but here in canada cops don't gotta wait for dude to press charges. A felony is a felony they don't gv a fk if you wanna press charges or not, they'll do it for you.
He said it was an inconvenience to go to court, etc. Just publicly shaming the dude and ensuring he gets banned from future pokemon events was enough for him.
The Asian man had the nerve to say he didn’t know who it belong to after finding it which he didn’t find it. He hit it keep spraying the word he needs to be exposed and once again, the guy who money was taken needs to press charges to get the rest of his money back and to get that man locked up.
WORST not-apology ever! Poor me, poor me. My poor family. "Look how my life is being ruined. Didn't care one iota about what it could have done to Reid if he never got the money back". Too little, too late. Too bad your family never crossed your mind at all that day. Don't expect the rest of the world to care either!!
There was another dude that just got caught stealing from 405 at the Dallas Ft. Worth show. He was the one slipping cards under his tin. I swear I hate thieves. I personally do not let more than one person at a time look at my binders since I have multiple like most of us do and can’t keep an eye on everyone. Cards have been stolen off my table and from my binders which was the catalyst for me to start setting up my go-pros and eventual double cctv cameras with a lot more space for recording. Protect yourself peeps
Dude clearly lied in his apology note. First he claims he just tossed it in with his stuff and left it not knowing what to do with it at the time. Next sentence he has it on him....at dinner.
I'm so impressed how emotionally mature Reid is. He took his time to process what was happening, not make any irrational decisions. And not a lot of people would be able to be so composed and go through the rest of the show knowing they probably lost 20k. Big ups to you Reid! Hope to deal with you one day!
Even if this guy's story was completely true and he took the money to secure it because he didn't know who it belonged to at that moment, that story no longer holds water when he originally found out somebody was missing a significant amount of money and he claims he didn't connect the dots on it. That's the point where I knew that everything was BS and that he would have kept this money had it not been caught on camera and had such overwhelming evidence against him. I agree that his wife and children should not be harassed over him being a crook. They don't deserve to have their lives threatened over this. Go after him however you want to but it seems crazy to go after someone's wife and children
Yeah harass him and roast him all day everyday for sure but his wife and kids should be left alone, they already have to live knowing their husband/dad is trash.
Thomas and I did a deal in person a while back and I got so many good cards for cards I didn’t even want to deal with selling. You would have never thought he was a fake guy. Always keep your guard up! Reid is a great guy and the local community is thankful he got his money back.
So event organizers like Collect-A-Con don't back up their vendors until police are involved? Good to know. (Sensing an opportunity in the marketplace......🤑)
Please do not walk away from this. Parents cannot let a child slip or they will try the bad event again. Same with adults. If you let people steal without punishment then towns get ruined. If you allow him to walk then he WILL do this to someone else. Stop letting a bully win. Stand up for yourself and make us other business owners and buyers proud.
1: it can't be defamation if what's being said about the person is True. 2: he mentions it's not in his character to do this Yet he even stated he didn't even think to bring up that he found the money and that he put it in his bag like he owned it and went home. Seems to me, this person just doesn't like the fact he got caught and is getting the treatment from doing so. I'm sorry but it's 100% deserved on his part all of the hate it was a scummy move by a scummy person

@mos_tekmusic7285 people wanting to press charges really just means they will cooperate with the prosecution. If someone doesn't want to press charges then there usually wouldn't be enough evidence to convict + it wouldn't be serving the public welfare
Lol dude tried stealing $22k from him. People face harsh realities for much less. Let him deal with the consequences and maybe sue personally for loss that the lack of capital created during the event.
Ppl really need to start pressing charges thieves steal that’s what they do and they need to face consequences for it. Crazy shit is he still stole over 1000 dollars
here's my view on his story if this happened at his table and it was the end of the day and quiet why didn't he notice the guy who came over putting the bag on his table. even if he didn't see that, why didn't he ask the guy "hey is this your bag" before even opening it, then if the guy said no its not mine then open it to check for any information on who's it is and then alert the event security and hand it in. why didn't he mention when out to dinner and hearing someone lost a bag of cash "oh that bag yea I found that". He kept quiet because he was unaware they had CCTV footage of him stealing the bag and he was going to keep the money. If he had no intention of keeping the money then why did he spend some of it. I wouldn't ever purchase something from this guy for two reasons 1) you wouldn't know if the item is really his to sell, he may have stolen it and 2) it might be a fake I know we are all capable of making mistakes but he had multiple opportunities to fix his mistake and it wasn't until the police stepped in and forced the issue did he own up.
Theres things in life that are irreversible, when It comes to character or how the world will forever see you. This dudes integrity is gone, he simply can’t be trusted with anything anymore.
I thought over a certain amount of money stolen was grand larceny and was therefore a felony and that the criminal would be charged regardless of whether or not the victim wanted to press charges? That's really messed up. This guy should have been charged and definitely faced some sort of punishment legally.
Honestly, If he had just come clean and apologized, said it was an impulsive decision and he needed the money, charges may not have been pressed (although they probably should either way).
I don’t know how he still has a wife when he’s using her and their child it even has one to ask people for help and asking people to forget what happened he’s such a coward and deserves all the backlash.
I know Thomas because he goes to pokemon trade nights in Central Florida and I most recently saw him 2 weeks ago in Oviedo, I would have NEVER suspected that hes a thief. He deserves all the punishment for what he did.
He mentioned a good point. He trusted the 5 or so people left as they were packing up. Think about it, the only people that you would give access like that are people you trust. If you didn't you would be on high alert. It's always the people you trust that steal from you. In 50 years of retail I can say those are the people that rip you off and they justify usually with the old he has more than me, or he is making so much money, or he bought that stuff really cheap. Trust everyone and verify:)
i have known about this guy for almost 8 years and i have countless testimonies of him exposing his true colors. he is the epitome of a greedy lover of money. he will do anything to make sure he makes profit no matter what the cost. he is only sorry because he got caught. every time i was around him he gives off such narcissistic, self absorbed, what's in it for me energy and his eyes reveal everything if you look closely enough. pure evil, feel bad for his kids tbh such a horrible example of a father and a man. he needs to serve time 100%
Disgusting work!! Thomas is that guy when you can’t find your wallet he will help you look for it. Whole time he got your wallet in his back pocket 🤦🏽♂️. He attempted to steal over 20K cash…. That is Grand Larceny! I would gladly press charges against him if it was me. Thomas and future thieves need to be charged in my humble opinion.
He should press charges. Just because he didn't do it right then shouldn't mean he still can't. Per google... In Georgia, the penalty for theft by taking depends on the value of the property stolen: $1,500 or less: A misdemeanor, with up to 12 months in jail and a $1,000 fine $1,500-$5,000: A prison sentence of up to five years $5,000-$25,000: A prison sentence of up to ten years $25,000 or more: A prison sentence of two to 20 years
Most insincere apology... he wasn’t "thinking" about returning it...he had already SPENT some of it!! He did this to one of his own buddies...what would he do to a stranger? File!
Tryna make ppl believe Pokémon ppl got goonz….the victim don’t even wanna press charges….Which ethical gang did my man Wang upset that they’re threatening him? You didn’t snatch a bag of cash from the Base Set 60s Crip Vendor Table my guy don’t kid yourself.

Tired of unjust defaming!!!! Are you serious?!? This guy is all over the road with his wantabe half ass apology… All this guy cares about is being called out publicly!

I know Thomas because he goes to pokemon trade nights in Central Florida and I most recently saw him 2 weeks ago in Oviedo, I would have NEVER suspected that hes a thief. He deserves all the punishment for what he did.
Pressing charges makes sense. He won't do it again!
Trust everyone and verify:)
i have known about this guy for almost 8 years and i have countless testimonies of him exposing his true colors.
he is the epitome of a greedy lover of money.
he will do anything to make sure he makes profit no matter what the cost.
he is only sorry because he got caught.
every time i was around him he gives off such narcissistic, self absorbed, what's in it for me energy and his eyes reveal everything if you look closely enough.
pure evil, feel bad for his kids tbh such a horrible example of a father and a man.
he needs to serve time 100%
The only option he had for an apology is to be honest and ask for forgiveness. He did the exact opposite. Scumbag behavior
Dude couldn’t even grow a pair and take responsibility
You gave the money back because you were scared as fuck to go to jail . Knock it off
Card shows great way get robbed just stay away from them unfortunately
Disgusting work!! Thomas is that guy when you can’t find your wallet he will help you look for it. Whole time he got your wallet in his back pocket 🤦🏽♂️. He attempted to steal over 20K cash…. That is Grand Larceny! I would gladly press charges against him if it was me. Thomas and future thieves need to be charged in my humble opinion.
He should press charges. Just because he didn't do it right then shouldn't mean he still can't. Per google... In Georgia, the penalty for theft by taking depends on the value of the property stolen:
$1,500 or less: A misdemeanor, with up to 12 months in jail and a $1,000 fine
$1,500-$5,000: A prison sentence of up to five years
$5,000-$25,000: A prison sentence of up to ten years
$25,000 or more: A prison sentence of two to 20 years
Most insincere apology... he wasn’t "thinking" about returning it...he had already SPENT some of it!! He did this to one of his own buddies...what would he do to a stranger? File!
Id bet the grammatically correct threat of "wait tell i see you" is the worst hes got. He just dont like the pressure hes under
Tryna make ppl believe Pokémon ppl got goonz….the victim don’t even wanna press charges….Which ethical gang did my man Wang upset that they’re threatening him? You didn’t snatch a bag of cash from the Base Set 60s Crip Vendor Table my guy don’t kid yourself.
@@Mycoldyourdone right hed prolly poop his pants from real pressure
That is grand theft
Anyone else notice the "threat" is written with similar grammar/spelling/word choice errors as his messages?
I was about to say my guy is using the same version of Rosetta Stone as his assailants 😂
"I kept something that didn't belong to me for an extended period of tome" ... Theft
This is crazy I had a great interaction with Thomas at this show! He was helpful and engaging. Even showed me some of his collection knowing I wasn’t interested in buying at the moment. This is super disappointing. Makes it all feel like an act now. Makes it hard to believe in people…
Tired of unjust defaming!!!! Are you serious?!? This guy is all over the road with his wantabe half ass apology… All this guy cares about is being called out publicly!
Wow this is crazy!!! The internet is forever!!! I feel bad for the kids! When they grow up and type in their dad’s name they can go down a whole day worth of rabbit hole full of embarrassment….time to give them a new last name!
Yeah the dude really screwed himself, his kids, their friends, their teachers, any business partner can now see what this fool really is.
Team Rocket is really active these days
Should I accept his apology with the French cowboy accent?
How can you make a mistake "genuinely" 😂
