How To: Dash swap your Silverado/Sierra pt. 2

- It’s amazing how @GeneralMotors has made these Trucks so similar from 1999 to 2019 when I started building this little @Chevrolet Silverado RCSB I didn’t intend for everything to fit so close and decently perfect.
In this Video I finish up the Dash Swap Tutorial, I show you how to install the 2016 chevy Silverado hvac box into your 99-06 gm trucks. With very little modification and it fits snug right under your 2014-2019 dash swap 😎 then I go on to explain how I’m going to modify it to bolt in just like your factory dash would.

That yellow foam on the firewall will start breaking down and making the truck reek of a crayon smell that gets in your clothes.

That would be sick keep the 5 speed and add it to a full center console like mine but with a short throw shifter 👀

I want to do an identical swap but mines is a 1994 OBS and I’m not sure if it would work or not
I’m sure there is a way to figure it out, this technically didn’t fit perfect I did have to modify things.
theres a few 2 door tahoes with 2015+ escalade dash swaps
where did you source everything from? was it piece by piece or did you get a donor truck? I have a 07 classic 3500 crew cab I want to do this on.
It was piece by piece this is why I’m running into so much trouble getting things to communicate lol don’t do Tht it’s the worst thing ever and wasted a lot of money.

Could I do the interior swap on my 04’ with a 2016 interior but not change my motor or tranny?
Yea you could, just not sure how you would get it all to read as if it was factory.
You think it would be like some jumper harness or something for it ?
Because I really want to do the swap but I just rebuilt my tranny and new motor so wanna do it with out buying a whole other motor and tranny
The systems are different when it comes to wiring them together. It would be more along the lines of creating your own type of software to read older canbus style if I was to assume lol idk exactly it’s beyond me.
Couldn’t you just use a stand alone harness?

It’s all from the same year model truck so yea, just using the 01 shell.
@@BoughtToBuild_ so you're saying an 01 and a 2019 cluster and radio all use the same connectors?
@@MuscleMustang07 no I’m saying I have everything from a 14-19 truck minus the 2001 body/shell. All harnesses are from a 2014-2019 gm truck.
@BoughtToBuild_ ahh ok, including like the bcm I guess? Guess I'm just confused how you went about powering them. Do you have a video on that?
