How To: Dash Swap your Silverado/Sierra pt.1

- This is the Video I promised y'all after 5k subs. This is only pt. 1 I'll be making a pt. 2 after this so if there's anything y'all want to see specifically drop a comment down below and I'll try and cover it.
In this Video I go over a couple main things you'll need to do in order to get a 14-19 chevy dash to fit in your 99-06 Silverado/Sierra. the trimming, and factory parts that are still usable even in a 1999 from a 2016, its pretty crazy how close these trucks are with parts and fitment.

Looks like a lot of work but definitely worth it! I have an 01 LB7 I’ve been trying to restore and this was a great help in helping me understand that there’s more to it than just installing a newer dash…

With everything tore apart and gutted would have been chill to add sound and temperature shielding on the sheet metal love this build bratha
Maybe I didn’t catch it in the video, but after I saw you already changed the break pedal you can do the hydro brake that’s connected to the power steering instead of the vacuum brake system with the booster
What did you need for the steering wheel conversion? For example, air bag, clock spring? Where did you connect power for heated steering wheel?
For the glove box scuff if they didn’t come out try using black trim restore/ or the dash(interior) shine/protection

This is some great work I've only seen one other channel that has done something similar to what you're doing but I think he only does Ford trucks interior, and custom electric hardness. he does it for living.

now you need to get the Titan Rear window Swap and the Sunroof Spoiler Swap for it.

Currently using the 2016 ecu and tcm, but I have a explanation coming up in another video relating to all that and the trouble I been having.
Do they have a dash cover for the 2014 you could trim to size and make it look flush?
I’m not entirely sure tbh but I’ll look into it, there is a piece that snaps into place right there on top.
I can i do this project in my GMC 5.3 2005 with out changing engine and the new Speedometer will work??

Yes sir it did the vin tag is on the cab body not the dash.

How much would this cost to do the interior swap?
I got like $5500 in the whole build not sure on just that cost. Can’t really say just that being I bought everything to do a entire swap.

You would have to do what everyone else does and use the factory cluster for your truck and fan it in.
@@BoughtToBuild_you don’t think I could just spice in connectors to match the newer cluster and make it plug and play ?
@noahcasas5461 unfortunately it doesn’t work like that with high and low speed canbus.
You said you wanted too weld a nut and washer,,, why not use a rivnut?
Mainly bc they tend to strip but I guess I could tac it in place but I have another idea in mind now.

Sorry man this is why I make videos like this, so I don’t have a garage full of trucks wanting these things. Maybe one day this may be possible for people but it’s something I’m not into doing at this moment.
