    Coaches will get this: Jordan played the game low on both ends. Translation: his knees were always bent, and he was very low to the ground. A lower centre of gravity meant more explosiveness, easier to steal the ball, easier to blow by defenders. The fact that a big, tall guy like Jordan could play so low on every possession is really rare.

At that camp where MJ's parents couldn't afford for him to stay another week so he had to serve as a waiter for the other kids, Len Bias & Patrick Ewing were there also. And he won MVP and those other awards RW mentions.

      Big Facts

    • @cooleverafter
      @cooleverafter 4 ปีที่แล้ว +40

      I take nothing and I mean nothing from LeBron James. Here’s the real narrative,: the sports world has never seen anything like MJ. He elevated the profile of an entire league, single handedly. He changed the culture the way players dressed. He changed sneaker culture. The world of sports has been desperately trying to recreate the electricity that existed during Jordan’s playing days. THAT is the point. Mike didn’t just make big shots. He made impossible shots. He didn’t just win, he dominated. In my lifetime, I’ve never seen anything like MJ, but that doesn’t diminish LeBron nor should it. Here’s what I appreciate the most, as a black man, it thrills me to see other black men take their talents and build something extraordinary. These men have done that. No, they’re not perfect, but they’ve always managed to inspire us to want to pursue greatness. And for that, I am truly grateful.

    Poor Colin....still trying to play down Jordan's greatness. Dean Smith may have taught him how to play in a system, and gain the experience of playing at that level. But they weren't passing out DNA when got to North Carolina, he was a one in a lifetime athlete when he got there. Dean Smith rarely started freshman, MJ was one of only two players to do so. Coach Williams....."He was the best 6'4" guard I've ever seen", mind you Mike still in high school. Coach Smith and staff sends him to a 5 star camp, stays 2wks wins every award(5) there, before coming back to NC, so again...GOAT! Colin just needs to get it out of his mind that Bron is on that level. There is nothing he has done so far that would change that. NOTHING! This debate needs to end.

    Elvis and Jackson had talent but don't compare to Mike in self awareness and self confidence to take care of themselves. They fell in self destructive behavior. Jordan sought to strengthen his health and body. Elvis&Jackson died or basically killed themselves way to early. The Beatles are from Europe and lived relatively long lives. Yet, most of them also had similar problems. Poor Lennon was murdered. What a shame!
    It is interesting that more than one person like me has wondered about the whites of Jordan's eyes. According to doctors, it may be the sign of some type of organ damage. I hope he is ok.

    I have to agree to disagree with Colin and Coach Williams on not liking the NBA-G-League.
    I like how the NBA has the G-League. Allot of the players that are on teams in the league either don't qualify to play on a NCAA Div. 1 team, or want to at least get paid playing basketball before they make it into the NBA. If NCAA paid their players there would be a whole lot more players staying in College or trying to play College Ball then playing in the G-League or going to play overseas,but NCAA is a corrupt organization that makes millions for the schools across the country but there players don't get $0 for making there teams successful and popular.

      D Dimi not really. LeBron falls short even in those standards. He's had significantly more help and freedom than MJ and still comes up short. LeBron *CHOSE* not to play with great coaches and systems. He brought that on himself. That's just an excuse at this point.
