      @Jonah Falcon Joe Dumars same age as MJ. False narratives. If you don't like MJ, just say it straight. Don't put out narratives that aren't true just to give terrible reasoning for putting down anybody. MJ was younger than Larry and Magic so when they retired he will still be playing. At age 35, MJ was the oldest player to win regular season MVP scoring title all star game MVP and Finals MVP. That's why they proclaimed him the greatest by dominating the league at that age which nobody done anything close.

MJ has never beaten Larry Legend...Boston swept them twice. Shaq , Kobe, and the Spurs ruled the 00's out west and Detroit rule out east until D Wade & Shaq and then Lebron out East. Its all about time periods...there will never be a GOAT ....or are we going to bring up Rocky to Mayweather fans too?

    Gentleman Joe. I was a sophomore in high school, in 1984-85, when Dumars began his senior year at McNeese State University, in Lake Charles, LA. I attended St. Louis High, very near the McNeese campus. It was pleasure to witness his career. People took note of his defensive skills (Joe's brother was a DB for the Jets), but the man could score. He left college as the 11th all-time leading scorer in NCAA history. Dumars always new how to adapt to what was needed, though. The Pistons already had Isiah, Kelley Tripucka, Vinny Johnson and John Long when he arrived. They needed defense and versatility. Does anyone ever remember Joe arguing a call? Yep, that was Gentleman Joe D.

  • @tangaraspeedgoda7436
    @tangaraspeedgoda7436 4 ปีที่แล้ว +21

    I want to adress some the criticisms that Jordan had to go through in his career. It was coming from the journalists, not the fans, not the players, not the coaches. So, don't say "they" said it. The coaches, the fans and the players acknowledge who Jordan was way before his championships and than GOD, it's been shown a little bit in the documentary.
    Now, as far as Jordan's level of play in today's game, Phil Jackson was saying already in 2006 that Jordan would be averaging 45 with those rules and 2006 was better and tougher than today's game.
    Last thing, I don't know what guys like Chris Broussard means by "athleticism" but I've never seen a shooting guard as athletics as MJ, I've never seen a PG as athletics as Iverson (even though they were guys like Kevin Johnson that would be in that conversation), small forward you can say Lebron James but Scottie Pippen is right there as well as Doctor J, never seen a power forward as athletic as Shawn Kemp (there were also Antonie McDyess and Larry Johnson pre-injury) and at the center position, I've never seen a center as athletic as David Robinson (except Wilt Chamberlain probably).
    The ball-handling thing is BS because number one, the modern rules not only allow players to carry the ball (I admit it's more fun to watch) and they don't have to deal with hand-checking. Now, if you've never really played it's not a big deal, of you play basketball you know there's a big difference with those rules changes.

When isiah first came into the league playing in chicago when the bulls sucked. They would cheer for isiah. Now this new guy comes and immediately has an impact not only that but coming into the league is making more money then people. And now has stolen the hearts of chicago fans. The Bulls respect the Pistons to talk about them in a documentary concerning the sixth championship not the first. The sixth. That's respect. Why is the media not understanding this? Trying to start beefs.

    Magic Johnson and Larry Bird were probably the smartest players i have ever seen, Jordan learn a lot from these two and with his ahead of his time athleticism became the best player in NBA history, while Lebron as great as he is, lacks the assertive clutch moments, hesitates in the crucial final moments and perform some bad games that impacted his legacy

    Don't know about anybody else but I respect dirty players like Laimbeer and Rodman: Jordan was a dirty player, too, quiet as kept, and I respect him too. Much respect for players who will do anything to win. Shout out to New England.

  • @theSUBVERSIVE
    @theSUBVERSIVE 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Dumars and Salley did it, Laimbeer didn't want to do it and he still says he wouldn't change a thing, Isiah is the only one trying to make it a "thing", instead, if he really regretted it, man up and just say you are sorry, don't give excuses just because it became a stain in your resumé and HOF career - because being the leader of the Pistons, Zeke was sure the one that suffered the most by doing that, to the point he became underrated as a player in NBA's history. I'm pretty sure, more would be said and talked about him if he didn't act that way, not to mention, I'm pretty sure the Dream Team was a payback not only for that but for what possibly happened in MJ's first All-Star Game.

    I think you're misguided. Jordan did get the calls that most other players wouldn't. He did get the superstar treatment, I'm not saying he didn't get fouled but he did get the whistle more because he was Jordan. He would get in referee's faces so often and would never be called for a technical foul. Much like Lebron, Harden, Irving nowadays. Even Kobe. Superstars get more calls because they draw more defensive attention.
