- We are a week removed from the Cavs being eliminated from the playoffs and there's plenty of questions at hand. What is going to happen with JB? Will the Cave move on and get a new HC? Where do things stand with the roster? Luckily for Cavs fans, we have Brian Windhorst here to answer all of those questions and MUCH more.

The fact that so many teams want donovan darius and jarrett , is enough of a reason to get rid of JB, too much talent to look so bad on offense
Most of that talent spent a significant amount of time of the season injured and not playing - a trend which continued in the playoffs . The star of our team played on a gimpy leg , the glue of our defense out indefinitely . Had to play a couple playoff games with end of the bench players starting . The team did not fold often during the season and in the playoffs and that's a reflection of JB's leadership imo .

Trade Garland, Okoro and Allen. Build around Mitchell and Mobley switch Strus to SG where he's a better fit. In the trades get a legit scoring SF and we would be Contenders for a 🏆🏆

The Cavs needs to resign Mitchell, trade Darius and maybe even Jarrett (I would Jarrett since he’s not gonna improve anymore like Mobley will and I feel we need a center or a PF that’s as good or almost as good as Allen that can space the floor. So trading Allen, a role player like Niang, and maybe a 2nd for Curso and Vuc could be fire). I would trade Darius for either B.I, Middleton (very unlikely it since Dame ain’t leaving the one), DeRozan (Cavs if don’t already do a trade with the Bulls then trading for DeRozan could work), or Randle (Cavs would also get a first as well).
However, idk about firing J.B since look at the Bucks bc firing clearly didn’t really help them unless we can get Budenhozer or maybe Nash. I don’t think it’s the best plan to fire him since the whole season at least 2 of our 4 best players were injured at some point but still.
Lastly, Mobley needs to develop a better shot bc the Cavs need to space the floor better, etc.
Dream scenario-trade Garland to New Orleans for Trey Murphy or Herbert Jones and another player and picks. I’d want Murphy more than Jones but both can shoot, have size and are young.

Donovan trade to be forced on him by Altman. His team was dismantled for lack of better word.
If JB is retained, he will change his coaching staff & relinquish some of his control. Kenny Atkinson will b n charge of the offense. & Dave Joeger will b the top defensive asst. 2 help JB adjust his defense a bit. If this happens, Koby won't make any changes out of the core 4.
If not, Terry Stotts should be named the new HC.
They cannot go into next season with the same back court, DG will force his way out and the Cavs have already been put on notice. It has everything to do with if Mitchell extends.
@mspeedm5849 if JB come back, Spida will not extend with the cavs. A sign and trade will occur in the off-season of 2025.

Taking the ball out of DG's hands full time, the past two seasons, after you handed him the bag, by trading for yet another sg in a pg body, is hilariously embarrassing to watch. Not to mention it means less Mobley offense who they are about to bag.
This all should be devestating blow to Altman and to some extent Bickerstaff, but here we are and they do nothing.
All that being said, if they are just Gilbert's puppets, which is possible, it won't matter who replaces them.
Defence is effort, not strategy. Cavs need coaches who knows how to develope rotations and strategies, not nepo Walton and Bitcherstaff.

Why do so many people think Redick is going to be a good coach? He's a decent NBA player that has been an analyst after he retired. Steve Nash for example is a HOF ex player and he ended up being a below average coach, so why would anyone assume Redick will be any good? He could be great or could stink who knows.
