- Sea fishing and catching Bass at Normans Bay near Pevensey on a really stormy day.
Andy and I went beach fishing in torrential rain, howling winds and a massive sea. Fished the incoming tide and caught a decent Bass each until the wind and the weed put a stop to our trip, but still managed a couple of hours out in crazy elemental weather and had a laugh and a bit of fresh air with the reward of some decent fish for a change.

Hi Shirley thanks for the kind words and was actually surprised to catch as it was the roughest I have been out in for quite a few years but was well chuffed that I actually caught that bass, although as ever Andy beat me 😂

Well done Mr. Many a mere mortal would have turned over and stayed in bed. But not the guys with 3Ds Determination,Desire and Dedication!!!! And thats what gets us through the tough times. You certainly deserved the reward of 2 decent fish!!!!

That weather was some of the worst I have been out in, in many many years. Was fishable until the wind started pushing against the tide and baits were either buried in shingle or pushed back into shore. But got out and caught something decent for a change.

Hi Gixxer and yep was vile worst conditions I’ve fished in for many years but was surprised and chuffed with the results for me and Andy and was touch and go as to whether I would join the rest of my family tucked up in the warm watching TV with a glass or two. Still managed some fish which given the conditions was surprising but welcomed.

Well as they say it’s a fine margin between sanity and madness Paul 😂😂. Well done on getting out there and braving those conditions. Did look very bassy though. I know a few people with your condition and with the constant stride in medical improvements they are doing really well 👍💪🎣🐟🍻
Hi Kevin certainly felt I had crossed that line this weekend 😂 it was totally bonkers weather but glad I went and haven’t caught many bass this year.
Wish we could have kept on fishing but the wind really stuffed us as it made the waves colossal. As you rightly say medical science has moved quite a few leaps forward so all going well for me with fishing in between cheers for the support 🎣👍👍👍🍺😎

Well done for getting out in such awful conditions, these days I am a fair weather angler only. As for the treatments you will get through them and January will be here before you know it. I had surgery, hormone and radio therapies and none were as bad as I had anticipated.
Thanks for the kind and supportive comments and sharing your issues gives me great confidence as do worry about it sometimes.
The weather was mad and very nearly didn’t go but would have sat indoors in the warm with beer and a few times over the course of the day wished I had chosen the warmer options 😂
Am planning to go out again this weekend but more stormy weather on its way ☹️

Get in there Paul,,, great bit of angling. I was up on Aldeburgh beach yesterday, no rain but the sea was big. Unlike you i caught sod all 😂 was thinking about you while stood watching my rods, kept me sane. God knows why 🤪

Pity you didn’t catch and Aldeburgh is a beach I fished many years ago and only caught a flounder. Used to be a cod beach.

Hi Bob a close run decision as I laid in bed listening to the rain drumming on the roof and then a hideous drive down to the beach.
Nearly came home and being able to fish was right on the edge and surprised to catch the bad as haven’t caught many this year, well chuffed and the beer tasted even better cheers and take care 🎣👍👍👍🍺🍺

Hi Shane nearly didn’t go but finally found some waterproofs that work and glad I made the efforts as bass have been a bit thin on the ground this year. Would have kicked myself if I hadn’t tried and cheers and big tight lines for the next session 🎣🎣👍👍🍺🍺😎

Hi Andrew likewise good to hear there are other daft weather fishermen out there in all weathers. My view is I have the day off and had planned to go and the worst that could happen is to lose a couple of hours out of the day if unfishable but you don’t know until you are there cheers fellow 👍🍺🍺🎣🎣🎣
Eazy paul you ok and hi to andy, nice one for the vid again matey. You got the same coat as me mate. Am in my 3rd winter season and its still warm n keeps me dry. They have gone up 40 quid aswell lol. Well done chaps in crazee conditions . I was out at 2. Am. Saturday morning on my electric bike and it was a whiting frenzy. They was all a good stamp and lost count after double figures. Your right about every day iz precious am just starting to think that way as 51 in a few weeks. Love the show mate. Some of the worst conditions I have been out in for several years and going this weekend but really strong winds and rain again but got to be in it to catch.
Jacket am well impressed with and the first one that has kept me properly dry and warm.

Iff so when you get bk from a session you can turn it inside out as it gets very sweaty inside n let it dry out. Like i said i'm going into my 3rd winter season and touchwood it still good. Hi Rob yep they are getting bigger and wondering if we had been able to fish on could we have caught more. The wind stuffed us but still pleased we made the efforts and really had to push myself to get out in that weather but a good result.

Hospital old girls.... I have a 98 yr old aunt not as assertive and strident but certainly capable of causing chaos inadvertently.

Hi Ray next weekend am aiming to get out 🤞but weather forecast a bit grim but will take your advice and maybe a bit closer with one rod although but if a roulette wheel as the sea was churning closer in and dragging me under the shingle.

Hi Stephen loving the rods but need a day where the wind is not howling into my face to really get to grips with them. But even in those conditions was well impressed with how effortless they were to cast. Cannot wait to really wind into them. Cancer? You ok buddy?
Hi Danny prostate cancer and a lump in my bowel. Lump in bowel has been taken out and receiving treatment but all caught really early so prognosis good. Treatment all a bit tedious but aiming to have all sorted by end January 🤞
Am dealing with it although to start with tough to get my head round.
All started with a blood test and bloody thankful I listened to GP who suggested it.
Not aiming to shuffle off just yet cheers fella 👍🎣🍺
@@SeaFishingWithPaul not great news mate at all, I was wrongly diagnosed with gaulbladder cancer last year, 6 months to live😳 luckily not the case. Glad you’ve caught it early. Let’s hope a speedy full recovery. All the very best. Take care
