  • The fact that it feels worthwhile, and I didn't return it says something about how it feels. Or maybe how dumb I am haha

    That demonstration of the utility of folding has changed my mind about foldable bikes. I thought it just was a silly feature that people only really get to use to fit in their inner-city studio apartment, but the idea that it could make the difference between the risk of theft by being on a bike rack versus being brought inside at work or whatever is a really good point that I think is a concern for many people.

    Me: owns a car, knows next to nothing about ebikes, has never ridden one, and would not buy one for many reasons.

    That’s an awesome folding mechanism, my e-bike does not have that feature, sadly I can’t buy another battery since they are out of stock by themselves; I hope your week goes well :)

    The $1k folding ebikes I’ve looked at weigh TWICE that much at 75 lbs. A standard “Dutch bike” weighs about 50lbs. Your bike is freakishly light!! Have fun Mr Cat!

    A very good review.
    I was very disappointed to find that the G4i has gone up in price since this video was posted, not £50, not £500 but £1000 which is a lot for a bike that was already described as pricey.

    That's not a bike! That's a scooter with pedals.

    You could buy some of those cheap Chinese lights off Amazon for about 20 quid and they will last for again ages. I’ve had some for about eight years and they still work. Obviously sometimes they can be dodgy but it’s a miss. I’ve spent hundreds on lights and they’ve lasted barely a year.

    The bike has no lock?

  • @Reiter.R.
    @Reiter.R. 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    You are not locked in EU or US mode, you can change it any time or just use US mode and limit it to your region legal restriction. Since 2022 lights and fenders are included. On Price point.. yes it is an IPhone but on the technical point it is top end!

    Can you confirm the price please? G4i is £4999 not £3999

    • @AndrewAnd
      @AndrewAnd  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Price increase I believe, it used to be £4999 for the G4i+

      It is kind of like having a cheap car for people in cities but it is a premium bike (so you most likely wouldn’t have a car in the scenario of buying it)

      If your from the US, look into a Suron bike or even a “modified Razor” 1400$ and you have a 72V 45+Mph minEmoto that willl take you anywhere you need to go

      @@MyNameIsPetch Thank you for replying to my question. The reason that I asked was because I live in the UK too. if I buy one , I
      was *thinking* of no throttle limitation too. If I'm paying £4k for aa e-bike, I want to be able to use it like the people in the NA1/2 regions. Also, going forward , there is a possibility
      that the Regulators will lift any restrictions so that the EU region is the same as the NA1/2 . If and it's a big if that happens. and someone throttle restriction
      can't be un-restricticted they'll be pretty annoyed that they are unable to have the option of more power and speed...especially when you might need it most climbing a steep hill.

  • @smarthome9707

    Blimey £4k for a bike that doesn't even have mudguards or a rear light. I don't understand why they cost so much. Good looking bike though.

    • @noisycarlos
      @noisycarlos 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm guessing the main reason for the high price is that most parts are custom made, so they don't benefit of the economies of scale like most other bike brands do. Also I think they manufacture it in Europe instead of China, and the components they use are also higher end. All that to get a unique-looking bike that's also very light for what it is. Whether that's worth the price I guess depends on the person buying it, but yeah, it's expensive!

    So basically this is your car. Except you get wet when it rains, freeze when it snows, there is no trunk, only one person can ride, you get splashed by mud, and its maximum speed is 20 mph... But no need to buy gas or wipers! 🤔
