Quick fold: stand to the left of the bike, have the left pedal point horizontally to the front, open both latches, grab handle bar just above the latch with your left hand, right hand on the saddle… and its one movement to simultaneaously fold both hinges. Takes me less than ten seconds, as I have internalized to stop with the left pedal in the front position just so that I can lower the kick-stand. It‘s really a quickly folding bike. Also, when unfolding, it is one integrated move to unfold it and then lock both latches.

We are Americans and own 3 Gocycles (so far). Great lightweight commuter and super compact fast fold technology. We have faster much heavier and less expensive e-bikes too but for lightweight travel flexibility the Gocycle always gets the nod. You are paying for non-generic smart technology that caters to a rider who wants maximum flexibility for storage and portability and will trade off weight and a little speed. As an added bonus we love, love, love the sleek "clean" awesome design. Shopping for a 4th as all 5 of us ride.

I have the G4I+ and love it but there are some weak spots. The pedals are horrible and have very little grip. The front Gocycle symbol moved to the side. I think the cold weather hurt the glue. Last issue is the auto shifting. The bike likes staying in first gear and only shift if you pedal like a lunatic or use the boost. I forgot the app which is okay but at times won’t let you connect. I shift on my own and love the bike. So convenient and nice looking. The is an option in the app to choose power only through the throttle and that lets you ride it as a non powered bike and use the gears manually

Beautiful design but not enough power for the price. For only $999 you can get the Fold 1 from Velotric, which has a 750w motor, can go 28 mph on the throttle only, 35 mph with pedaling and has a 55 mile range with the same folding ebike 20" wheel profile.

Did gocycle ever fix the loose seatpost issue that every single one of their bikes had?

      This bike was working perfectly.

I don’t have that problem with mine and I’ve had mine for two and a half years

The plastic ring on top of the shaft tends to get loose and then the seatpost slightly wiggles. I glued the ring using epoxy, it never came loose again and the seatpost is now 100 percent stable.

It's the price, ma'am. That'll put most people off. We can buy motorcycles (especially used ones) for the same amount or less.

I know - you pay a lot for innovation and the quantity

It looks like making you pay the same amount for less. I bought my Gocycle G4i 2 and a half years ago and I all that you have spoke about plus the mid- frame is carbon fibre

Who is the this Mack Laren of whom you speak?

They charge over £3k and give a 300Wh battery. These guys are taking a piss.

Interesting ... in my opinion GoCycle stands more for the design and functionality. Rather than the range of the battery.

The US models used to have a 500wh battery,so as well as not giving you guys a carbon fibre mid-frame they are also skimping on the battery

I'm in the USA, and bought my G4i on their Demo Special in December 2022. (That is active again right now!)
I had been researching it for quite awhile, and that special price sealed the deal.
There was trepidation with the front wheel drive, as my first folder was a Prodecotech Phantom with a 350w front motor on a 26" tire. It would slip if encountering gravel when going up hill. Not so with the G4i; Gocycle has the WORLD'S FIRST (and only) TRACTION CONTROL system! And that 500w motor has extreme torque, is smooth, and quiet.
This is also the only e-bike in the world that has zero exposed wires, cables, or drive train components. Plus, you can change a tire or inner-tube without removing the wheel. The "KIT" style LED's are fun to watch on startup, but it is much better to pair your phone with the bike, as there is an excellent dash on the App. And, the "rubber band" phone holder is the best I have tried...all the expensive cell holders will let the phone slip on rough trails, but this one is super secure.
Other folders I have tried are Sondors Fold and the Sondors Step...junk compared to the G4i.
As for speed and torque, I have a Stromer ST2S, Optibike, Bulls Lacuba, ZEN Samurai Premium, Trident Trikes E-Spike (converted to solar), and a Lightening Phantom in full fairings that I converted to electric.
I guess the grapes are sour.

F1 re-invents itself every season, pushing boundaries, constantly at the limit.
Gocycle G4 has been around for what, 5years now?
So no wonder McClaren booted and the rest of the F1 grid didn't want the slow tortoise that founded Gocycle.
The boring overpriced apple of the e-bike market.
