I didn't find anything racist here, only sly black man with an aggressive Chinese man who deliberately caused the first misunderstanding and problem with the staff so that they could use this clickbait here. If it bothers you that the staff has objections that you are turning the restaurant into a tourist promenade, then you don't know how to behave. !
As I've never been racist to black people, but this act of you playing a victim is very disappointing. Those girls are just doing their jobs. Even if you were white person those girls will say the same about "not filming". It's either you're playing a victim or have low comprehension to post misleading titles on youtube
I might have missed the part when the Chinese girls are racist because they are just doing their jobs to remind people that filming while not being a customer is unallowed this is to avoid those customers to be filmed for privacy. I see no racism here, only Chinese girls doin their jobs to remind people. Or maybe it's just your western brain who takes everything as a racist and this black guy just uploaded this on yt for attention and misleading title and the girls faces aren't censored, truly disrespectful for privacy and those girls were right about not allowing filming like you did.
I agree that’s why the best thing would be to leave if they let you know that they don’t want you there ,don’t eat in there because you never know what they are going to put in your food
Thats what I was thinking ,its really sad treating g people like that because u don't like the colour of their skin everyone should be welcome to eat if your open for business ❤
Because he's black, that's why. I don't have any sympathy when the white men step on Chinese throats. These same Chinese are racist against black people
Exactly. But that rarely happens here in the west. If you have a European friend and something like this happens, they just sit there and look stupid. It's sad.
She said "Sorry it's restaurant's policy no touring in the restaurant because there are guests eating". She was referring to both of them. It was the Chinese man who was being rude and disrespectful and make it into an issue about race which has no base at all. A lot of fancy restaurants have this policy as their guests expect more privacy.
Not only in fancy restaurants, if you go to a local carvery, you still need to wait to be seated. You can't just walked in and hovering around filming. That's just rude and disrespectful.
That's what I saw, she told them both the restaurants policy ... some people just feel entitled no matter what, they think they're above everyone. Shame on you both. Girl was just doing her job, trying not to get fired for letting you in to video when it's against their policy.

What she said was appropriate- please do not move around and sneak peaking, which may disturb others dining. This has nothing to do with being black or not, why did you purposely make it so?
Because for some stupid reason anytime they go 'boo hoo' here in the US they get an army of guilty butt kissers instead of people telling them to knock it tf off already.
The guy is walking around inside a restaurant filming with his phone with his Chinese friend speaking loudly and he thinks the woman she's the one being rude for asking him not to disturb others dinning . SMH. Now to be fair, his Chinese friend was also not behaving accordingly minus the filming. Yet, she didn't complain about him. So, him being black had probably something to do with it. So I think the woman wasn't rude and was entitled to ask what she asked but she shouldn't have singled out the black man asking if he was the friend of the Chinese man who was also behaving poorly. She should have complained about both the Chinese man and the black man.
It's never safe to eat at establishments where your presence is unwanted by owners and people who work at them. Food born illness is prevalent all over the world. Why gamble with your health when you can go where you're welcomed to eat. I wouldn't want to eat my wife's food if she's mad with me. 😅
Totally agree! I don't think it's worth the hassle especially when there are thousands of restaurants to enjoy in China. But I must say I don't think this was racism.

We must not have been watching the same video because I saw nothing racist. I see 2 guys giving the employees a hard time. Race was only mentioned by his friend and no one else. Just because he is black doesn’t mean it was because he was black. Plus the Chinese guy is arrogant AF.
The two men, said right away, we want to look around and give us a menu. That's means they are eating there. The young women was rude, and disrespectful, she saw color.
I don't understand how this works in China, but here in Los Angeles it would be very unusual for a person to walk into a restaurant filming a video just to look around without sitting down and having a meal. In particular, in a very expensive type of place. Someone would tell the person to leave. It's not common here and we are a very multiracial and multicultural city.
Especially a high-class restaurant. They didn't even ask for permission to look around. Try this in a mid town manhattan restaurant and see if you get kicked out or not. If they think it is right for non- diners to walk around, then let's see how they like it when 20 tourists circle their tables and look out the windows when they are eating in a fancy resturant.
Exactly. The two men were told that they can't just walk around the restaurant to look at the menu. Then the Chinese guy argued that he is a guest there and spent lots of money, but that doesn't give him the right to simply go into the restaurant just to walk around.

Only if they knew about the Sun gives you a vitamin D it's so important for our health.
You think he is standing up for him? Then you truly don't understand Chinese culture. There is a thing call "face" 面子 deep rooted in Chinese culture. What did the Chinese guy did is using his friend as scapegoat to use the race card to save his own "face". The Chinese girls knew, but there is another subtle culture in Chinese 看穿不说穿,roughly translate to totally understand the intentions but don't expose it. Why girl do so and kept silent? Obviously to save his face. And now the girls are labelled as the villains for doing him a favour. What a good friend he have, thanks to the TH-camr own actions as well. Who cares as long he can cash in with the clickbait title.
The staff didn't say anything about being a foreigner, she said you can't walk in and look around unless you plan on eating there. The cocky chinese guy made it a foreigner issue.
If you watch the video, she was staring at the Black man the whole time his friend was initially talking to her. She was already making a plan to have him removed. He's not cocky, he's being a protective friend. You obviously have never been to Asia. Black and White people are both either respected or hated depending on where they go and his friend smelled that racist bs a mile away.

The way the subtitles read, the worker questioned them as they just walked in on their own.. He then says theyre looking at the place and the menu and LATER they would eat and she basically said no because they have guests there.. They were pulling up the blinds like they owned the place. Theres no reason to fault her for saying no. If thats not what happened, then the person who adds in the subtitles needs to correct them lol
This is reaching tbh, who do they think they are? You can't just walk into a restaurant and go walking around like that pulling up shades and not being escorted by the hostess. C'mon BFF
I mean, if the subtitles are correct - she walked up after they just waltzed into the middle of a fancy looking restaurant, and asked if they were with a group of ladies sat down. He said no, they are just looking - so she said you can't look here, people are trying to eat here", which is perfectly reasonable... At what point was she racist? Also, getting angry at servers is the mark of an arrogant and nasty person, also saying "I come here X amount of times and spend X amount of money"... the servers don't give a shit how much money you spend there if you are a horrible person to them
I’ve seen black people just become subservient and brush it off when they get told to leave White private establishments by white people (when white people don’t even disclose a reason). Yet when an Asian server tells the couple “not convenient to film around” it’s suddenly interpreted as racism. Double standard much?
EXACTLY. Bad title race baiting title by the obvious real racist. Guy walks in like he owns the place, interrupts seated customers and says we are just looking when asked by the server? This somehow became a race issue?
I may be wrong and I’m sure there’s racism in every country including China…..but in this case, the lady was saying they don’t allow “anybody” (any non-customer, not just this young man) to just walk into the restaurant to look see, unless you’re a customer. They probably would have obliged if these 2 men had asked for permission in the first place (not sure if the 2 men did, it wasn’t shown in the video).
i’m thinking the same thing because it seems like she clearly approached him because he was opening up the damn shades and crap while people were eating like they were in a musuem instead of a restaurant Lol
No racisim here. Chinese guy felt entitled to do whatever he wants cause he spends money there. No one even brought up race until he did. Can’t simply just walk in without checking in with the host and start walking around touching sht. Try that at any fancy restaurant and see what happens.

We deal with this on almost daily. It's called micro-aggression. Much of it is subconscious and the people doing it 'sometimes' don't realize it. Sometimes they do. For example: you're in line and the person in front of you receives a friendly smile, warm conversation etc..then you step up and all of a sudden the person behind the counter frowns or stop smiling, talk to you in short terms (if they talk to you at all), try to rush you etc etc. Yep! Constantly know the feeling.

I can't believe more people didn't say this and defend the restaurant workers. You can't just have random people walking around your restaurant looking out the windows and talking to the guests as if you own the place. Any restaurant owner/worker would do the same regardless of location and race of the person trespassing
@@Prettyreader3 If they were already guests and were seated at a table I can see how this might be ok. They were random people who just walked in off the street and bypassed the hostess or anybody working at the restaurant. No restaurant I have been to allows random people to walk right in and start looking around because they are curious. Even if there is a line and you want a table they make you wait outside or in the entrance lobby area.
@@Prettyreader3 you clearly never been to a high end restaurant - stick to fast food joints, with your mindset, you’re definitely the Karen that destroys dining experiences for others.
I believe the black guy is taking the issue too personally. This restaurant probably has a policy that may be questionable but applies to everyone regardless of race. When he talked to 2 chefs who were foreigners, they confirmed the policy and gave an explanation. Black people are overly sensitive about racism and tend to equate every indescretion to their skin colour. We may not agree with certain rules and policies places try to enforce but in all fairness she is just doing her job. People should not cry racism at every little issue.
I am currently flipping and living in a house in West Palm and the neighborhood is mainly black. I go through this everyday. I don't eat out anymore because the hassle is unbearable.
Some places in China have clear regulations that prohibit filming or disturbing other guests. We should respect their regulations. This restaurant does not allow you to do so, so change it, right? This is definitely not discrimination, just like the regulations of your school.
I see a lot of nations fight against blacks all over the world even for no reason. If blacks hate it’s because we’ve been hated on for so long since we’ve been divided and taken into slavery, are whole life we are hated on because of who we really are and our skin. When we start to defend ourselves it becomes an issue and that we always bring up race ”blah blah” but then what’s the problem then, we try to live but you got ppl all even with cops and just racist ppl it’s all over t.v / internet right in the world face and ppl so ignorant.
I am from HongKong living in different western countries for over decade, always welcome black people in HongKong helped them much. Even tho I guess it’s the receptionist thinks you two didn’t reserve a table and just walked in without asking.. 😅
Nah, i think they over reaching with racism in China to generate viewers on youtubes and its working.. The chinese lady didn't say nothing racist beside we don't allowed non customers walk around the place while paying customers eating (happen to me in U.S never look at it as racism). Than the African guy from Africa said i want to check out your establishment before dinning in. I was thinking like dude, no 3 , 4 or even 5 star hotel allowed you to check out the place first before booking their hotel. That's why they used websites for christ sake...
Restaurants are places to go in, sit down, and eat. A restaurant rejecting people bypassing the hostess to walk in and meander around with a camera to chat is not racism. It is called running a high end restaurant. A place that is serving food at $150 USD a plate, by definition, does not have the same standards as McDonald’s or Denny’s where it would, most likely, not be a problem to take a look. 說實在,你的中文也不錯,美國高級餐廳也不太可能會讓人這樣參觀。
My grandfather who is 94, still alive and healthy, fought in the Korean War. Mind you, he’s American and grew up in the 30’s and 40’s. He said Korea was the most racist place he’s ever been in his life. Those Asian countries are notorious for that. It’s best to know the language of you go. And be prepared to be stared at like an alien 👽

Especially, chasing the baby animal and waking up early to go out with their grandfather to feed the animals. They are all professionals now and give back to Jamaica in many ways. Bless up to you and your family.
Of course it has something to do with filming, just not what you think. You didn’t EAT here. You strutted in and touched the blinds like you owned the place. You didn’t PAY or ORDER anything, so to them, you weren’t a guest, and a a random guy filming inside a fancy restaurant while also walking around and bothering other guests was NOT ACCEPTABLE. I also understand Mandarin. This is not “racism” this is basic fucking respect. Learn some of it.
No she meant they can't look through the window there, she said "bu neng guan kan" which is translated into "can't look", but we don't use"guan kan" when we describe "looking at a menu", "guan kan"is used when you are observing some scenery or watching films or looking at a landscape. when she said you can't "guan kan", she doesn't mean the menu, she means the window
How was this racist? They didn’t want people walking around while paying guests are eating their meals. I wouldn’t want people walking around me either while enjoying a meal.
Yeah it’s not racist at all. The guy he was with is actually the problematic one in my opinion. So much misunderstanding in this video. And I speak chinese to if that matters
@@user-nx3bl7gt9p Apparently the Chinese man did it before on many ocassions with no incident. Why was thi one different? Read between the lines. Clearly you've never experienced racism so you have no leg to stand on to give an opinion here.
@@stoiccrane4259 so anybody who don’t think this is racist automatically has never been through racism before? That’s a wild assumption. And also all the waitress said was they can’t just walk in and look around because they need to get a table first and get seated that’s all literally, in Asia thats a common thing. Just because she is the only person that spoke up and told them about the restaurant’s policy doesn’t make her racist.
@@user-nx3bl7gt9p The degree to which you're defending the waitress shows that you deny even the prospect of this was racially motivated, which to me shows that you fail to recognize the nuance _of_ racism. @1:35 His friend exclaimed that he's been there many times engaged in the same behaviour presumably with no incident which is why he later asked "What kind of policy is that?!" The only differing factor is that he has a Black companion with him whereas in other occassions he didn't. When she made a stink of the situation who was she looking at? Go back and take a look at the incident.
@@stoiccrane4259 dude racism is everywhere I don’t deny that I just disagree that this was a racist interaction so ofc I’m defending her lol. She is only doing her job, this would literally happen anywhere if you did what they did. Again just because she is the only waitress that has spoken up about the policy doesn’t make it racist. Do that at other fine dining restaurants? Same results and his friend didn’t specifically said that he engaged in the same behaviour all he said was “he spend a lot of money there” which could mean he just dine there.
It’s super strange to walk around before get your seat. Imagine when you’re eating, two random guy just film around you and talk loudly. You shouldn’t be welcomed anyway and anywhere.
What’s funny to me is how can a people Asian, Mexicans, Italians, and a host of others take what someone says about a person an believes it as absolute!!! Yet experience the same treatment for the people who told you that bs. ITS FREE TO THINK!!!
I dont think its targeted racism, they just dont want you to film the guest eating there. and as they say many tourist come there only to take a picture and they wanted to avoid that. also you need to get a table at the reception first, if you are not going to eat there and just want to take a look, then at least ask the staff ladies at the reception first. But compliments to your chinese friend who tried to defend you though, but I think its all just a misunderstanding.

To those who didn't read the conversation. The issue was that he was filming. Him being "foreign" was not the problem. New flash people are uncomfortable when you film them randomly. Restaurants are within their rights to ask you to leave if you do so.
You and others are claiming she said they had a no foreigner policy as the other person said I watched the entire video and did not see her or anyone else say that so if there is even just one person who could provide a timestamp and prove us wrong otherwise I'm going to assume this is the usual false racism accusations.

Guy walks in and prances around like he owns the place. Guy interrupts female customers involved in their own conversation like he's a big shot. Guy gets asked by the server if he (black guy) is with him and his response is he's just looking. Server says this is for customers and now its a race issue? What am I missing here?
You walked into a restaurant without asking. I would imagine it would only be polite to ask to enter and check if it’s alright for you to take a look. Your friend’s respond didn’t help. It was condensing and aggressive. E.g. Asking if she wanted money. Or mentioning that he brought in concerts? Does it matter? Honestly it felt like you two didn’t respect others in the first place.
He's not stupid, he knows his own country and he knows EXACTLY what they're doing. He knows if it was anyone else they would of allowed it. They wouldn't say "we don't want this ninja here!" They're much less aggressive then whites. But the racism and ignorance is very much prevalent.

I’ve seen black people just become subservient and brush it off when they get told to leave White private establishments by white people (when white people don’t even disclose a reason). Yet when an Asian server tells the couple “not convenient to film around” it’s suddenly interpreted as racism. Double standard much?
Filming or not wouldn’t even matter bro it’s you two who had no manners acting like you own the restaurant who takes a tour of a restaurant first??? And you were absolutely right next to people who were eating so you lied about that when you went to cry to the guys behind the counter. Yes, there is racism in China, but, as good business practice, people are not allowed to wander around in a restaurant which is why they provide guests with a menu to read.

Or maybe it's just your western brain who takes everything as a racist and this black guy just uploaded this on yt for attention and misleading title and the girls faces aren't censored, truly disrespectful for privacy and those girls were right about not allowing filming like you did.

All she said is they cant look at the menu in the dining area where people are eating they didnt ask for a table or anything what did she do wrong 🤔
No she meant they can't look through the window there, she said "bu neng guan kan" which is translated into "can't look", but we don't use"guan kan" when we describe "looking at a menu",
"guan kan"is used when you are observing some scenery or watching films or looking at a landscape.
when she said you can't "guan kan", she doesn't mean the menu, she means the window

@@Swantsfood Exactly, that s what it was, Thank you.
TH-camrs should show a little respect occasionally. I’m trying to eat here!
@1:35 His friend exclaimed that he's been there many times engaged in the same behaviour presumably with no incident which is why he later asked "What kind of policy is that?!"
The only differing factor is that he has a Black companion with him whereas in other occassions he didn't.
Because they are typically very small minded and easily manipulated,no back bone generally ignorant when it comes to facts smh...
Exactly agree 💯
I dont think its targeted racism, they just dont want you to film the guest eating there. and as they say many tourist come there only to take a picture and they wanted to avoid that. also you need to get a table at the reception first, if you are not going to eat there and just want to take a look, then at least ask the staff ladies at the reception first. But compliments to your chinese friend who tried to defend you though, but I think its all just a misunderstanding.
They said black people are not allowed to eat there. Which is shit rule...
And a another Chinese girl was filming. Why did they not tell her?
@@jenislyjensen maybe the girl payed and just ate dinner, how can you prove she did not?
@@jenislyjensen The waiter didn't say that black people weren't allowed to eat here, so clearly the problem was with the subtitles.
@@jenislyjensenWtf you capping? She didn't say BLACK GUY can't eat here. She said she don't want people to roam around while people are enjoying their meal. Damn you need to clean your ear instead capping on youtube section buddy. These guys looks like they chasing clouts in China anyway lol..
@@KayScott95 It's not a surprise they are putting up fake translations in the subtitles too. The whole incident was manufactured.
Two videos ago, everyone was saying this dude is over-friendly and you should beware of him. Look at him now lol
This two men were self entitled. If not a customer, ask for permission to go in first. They are not supposed to walk in to look at scenery
To those who didn't read the conversation. The issue was that he was filming. Him being "foreign" was not the problem. New flash people are uncomfortable when you film them randomly. Restaurants are within their rights to ask you to leave if you do so.
This is a lie.. She literally said they have a no foreigners policy which she made up on the spot.. She said nothing about filming..
She literally said nothing about filming
they have CAMERAS recording in the restaurant everywhere, stop it. It's a public venue. Always keep in mind that you have a right to record.
@@terrancejovan4825If youre so consident then please provide a time stamp. If im wrong then I will admit my mistake and apolize.
You and others are claiming she said they had a no foreigner policy as the other person said I watched the entire video and did not see her or anyone else say that so if there is even just one person who could provide a timestamp and prove us wrong otherwise I'm going to assume this is the usual false racism accusations.
Bro I also speak fluent Mandarin and I have also had this same experience at certain restaurants...... be careful about eating street food too
This is why i lowkey never wanna go back to china, i want to make sure next time I’m there I’m already a rich ass to to have a revenge with those peasants, and the most frustrating part is that it’s always the peasants that have this fu**ing mindset
So black men are really out here saying that it's normal behavior to just walk nto high-end retaurants without paying or ordering anything and looking around patrons who are just trying to eat? I see why China is slowly banning black men.
Good Friend he has. You know it’s really sad that they are racist. My ancestors are Chinese but I’m made of of many many many ethnicities that have traveled and mixed as they migrated. I am also African , Spanish but mostly indigenous.
Amen. Trash like these do not understand the concept of common etiquette and then get offended when someone calls out their poor behavior.
He's not stupid, he knows his own country and he knows EXACTLY what they're doing. He knows if it was anyone else they would of allowed it.
They wouldn't say "we don't want this ninja here!"
They're much less aggressive then whites. But the racism and ignorance is very much prevalent.
thought I was in Canada. This wasn't racism. it was two people breaking restaurant rules and and looking to find a way to be offended for you tube views.false crap content.
I’ve seen black people just become subservient and brush it off when they get told to leave White private establishments by white people (when white people don’t even disclose a reason). Yet when an Asian server tells the couple “not convenient to film around” it’s suddenly interpreted as racism. Double standard much?
At times cameras is a turn off especially when you turn up unannounced at a restaurant and start filming. It brings on unacceptable behavior by others
excuses excuses
Filming or not wouldn’t even matter bro it’s you two who had no manners acting like you own the restaurant who takes a tour of a restaurant first??? And you were absolutely right next to people who were eating so you lied about that when you went to cry to the guys behind the counter. You’re the one propagating racism right now not the lady at the restaurant.
Are you serious ? What sort of fake racism is this ? They walk into a private restaurant without a booking , just walk in and start filming people without their permission and walk amongst the tables set fir guests and he doesn't have the decency to take off his hat ? These guys are rude as hell and deserve to be thrown out ..
The staff said this is not an observation place ppl are eating here. What so racist about that?
Yes, there is racism in China, but, as good business practice, people are not allowed to wander around in a restaurant which is why they provide guests with a menu to read.
Black dude here and honestly, nothing makes me happier than seeing a bond between people who are not of the same race. Moments like these show that humanity is still moving forward. Even if it seems to be at a slow pace.
I have this friend who grew up in Japan. She told me when going to school there some of the people thought she needed to wash it off. I laughed so hard, I fell off my chair! Have some people never seen African people, even on tv?!
Crazy how nearly 60-70% of them were looking at him with disgust
It's China... 😶
It was even in China that the KKK emerged and they carried out massacres including children and babies "irony"
I would say 95%
@@humphreylipchitz2162 sadly wouldn’t be surprised if you were closer
I didn’t see that
I don’t understand Mandarin but from the subtitles, she said nothing wrong. Only person who even mentioned race was the Chinese guy. He obviously has some money and wants everyone to know it. Quit harassing employees just trying to do their job.
If you can’t understand don’t comment like you know
@rue.eudoxie that's why the video has subtitles isn't it. So people who can't speak Chinese can understand.
