It's using motion controls to hold left while still holding down (isntead of down left with the circle pad), It's a really cool technique to turn more while holding down that's been being used on more and more tracks recently
Will happen also 58 if when he stop the glider before the start of the other glither whit the glitch at the end, it will be a faster pause it can be done
One of the many problems I have with 8dx is that they try as hard as they could to prevent crazy stuff like this happening, and thus, the respawning is garbage, the gliders were hard nerfed and aren't fun, but oh wow, an extra turbo thing! Also, great TAS. I have a hard time thinking of comments and I was gonna comment 2 days ago, but didn't think of ideas. It's so crazy how broken this track is without quite being a bug. This game had tracks the lasted longer for some reason so its impressive that there is 2 confirmed sub 1:00s.

@@Drflash55Official this'll be improved eventually. A new strat was found that's applicable for every track, so it's definitely beatable. But given that it's a very difficult category to TAS, and that a 58 doesn't seem super likely, there just hasn't been a lot of interest in beating this one

Yeah, lap 2 uses a slightly different strategy than lap 3 which I think is slightly slower. But other than that it would be a lot of effort to make improvements

The glider in shroom ridge (MK8DX) works exactly like the mk7 glider physics
