The cars should be run on whatever tyres they come from the factory. The P1 has Corsa as std & Trofeo R's as an option. Which is perfectly fine. So if the 918 can come from the factory as an option with Cup 2R's, then yep give them a run. If not then NO!!!

I think it would be smart for McLaren to keep a rang of cars that are driver focused, with bit les power and not caring that much for laptimes. The super fast department can still be covered by Models like the Senna or even the 720s. Like a Hypercar category and a sports car category, and even leaving out the SUPER sports category would look fine to me.

Let's just say Lambo aren't keen on providing cars for lap times. We do ask them, but the car is always busy doing something else when we need it. Shame, because we think they'll be rapid on track and post pretty remarkable times.

For such a tight twisty track, stickier tires, less weight of course it's going to be right up there with the P1 which has enormous hp, and heavy batteries. The 720s on Pzero Corsas clocked nearly a full second faster than the 600lt, can anyone imagine how fast it would have been had it been on the optional trofeo R? Most likely faster than the 488 Pista or anything short of a Senna. The 720s is also just a normal run production car that you can just buy, 2nd hand prices are like 160k quid. For hypercar beating performance that's just insane. If I lived in the UK, I would really buy one. Too bad there's no tracks in my country.
Rather have the LIMITED SUPER series 675 LT over the UNlimited SPORTS series 600 LT every day of the week, the banned F1 technology of hydraulic suspension and active aero makes all the difference IMHO. Give me a 675LT Spider in Napier Green please

The 600 LT has tanked twice as much even as "the latest and greatest" simply because they built too many. Simple economics of supply and demand. 1000 675LT's versus circa 2,000 600LT's . In years to come when the brand is established the 675LT as the original LIMITED LT will be highly sought after and collectable just like early limited edition ferraris are now

It’s perplexing why they have removed the Pista’s time! I do feel that Evo have had the Mclaren pill and they can seem to do no wrong. The 600LT is an awesome car however when it gets destroyed by the Pista, why hide it?

I’m so NOT interested in these state of the art ICE cars. They are soon to be obsolete. The Tesla roadster will put them out of business. And no more inherent ICE unreliability to deal with, especially British cars. EV’s have a fraction of the maintenance headaches.

Lately though I’ve noticed the newest annoyance in the comments section is C8 Corvette fanboys pointing out that the C8 can do 0-60 in 2.8 seconds while whatever supercar is barely any faster to 60MPH for $xxxxx amount more money..... which is great if all you actually care about is the first 25-30% of most of these supercars acceleration abilities. I’ll be the first to admit the C8 appears to be a tremendous performance value proposition, but with everything nowadays at the near mechanical/tire limits of what is possible to achieve staggeringly low 0-60 times and even some 2.5 ton SUV’s cracking off low 3’s I’d hardly say that measurement defines a car’s greatness

Trofeo Rs are worth 2-3 seconds over Corsas, a lot more than 0.2 seconds. The P1 is still definitely the faster car, but the 600LT is close!

Gazza Brownhigh might make it faster, but sounds like this 600LT may be more engaging to drive. Comes down to preference.
675 is limited but that didnt stop it from tanking in price. This unlimited vs limited is not really a thing anymore

Mclaren’s have a great feel to drive. Just the sound is lacking.
