@@RoleAce Essentially what happened there is that Chris provoked the car into a slide in one direction; the track began to curve the other way, and he lifted intentionally to allow the car to pendulum back the other direction. He caught it and transitioned the drift perfectly. Thats very very hard to do smoothly, especially in a car thats not set up for drifting, and especially in a mid-engined car where the weight is over the rear. (the tendencey for them is to just keep rotating.) You can see how fast he moved his hands. That coupled with well timed throttle application allowed the car to transition from a slide in one direction to a slide in the other, without just becoming a spin.

Change the name of Top Gear to Chris Harris on Cars and sack the other two muppets (whoever unsuitable people you've employed now) and get Henry Catchpole on there. Then you've got a good program on the go. Been absolutely terrible since the boys left, Harris is your only hope going forward.
i'm no stranger to Chris Harris videos... but i've been watching a lot of random stuff lately with limited time to keep up on everything and I've gotten behind on his stuff. This is such a brilliant review. Chris, you're probably the best automotive journalist ever.
If it wasn’t for Chris i wouldn’t be watching top gear anymore... He is so down to earth and so cool and funny to watch and listen to, and at the same time SOOO skilled. Keep it up Chris (and Niel) we love you guys.
No-one's intimidated by (or even that impressed) with 600bhp supercars anymore. The F40 put the fear of God into journalists with 478bhp back in the day. Only a select few were thought to have the skill to drive it. Car makers have made supercars accessible to the unskilled which is great for sales of course. Amazing feat of mainly electronic engineering but has something been lost?
watch chris' video on the f40. the boost builds while holding steady throttle mid corner and the car is so light (1100kg) that without modern traction control you had to be constantly managing the car. The 600LT with all driver aids switched off is about the closest thing on the market to an f40 you can buy today hence why he talks about having to be real careful mid corner.
FlyHy I’d say the amg gtr also closest thing, even amg gts edition 1 tuned was a monster and would wrap someone into a pole real fast, modern rendition of my ruf gt2 imo and gt2 was very much like an f40! There are some great modern cars that give you all of that wild thrill, not as cool raw and mechanical as the older stuff of course but in terms of keeping your sensory constantly working and being on edge the amg gtr and 600 lt seems to fit the bill, however I haven’t driven the mclaren yet!
Which is why he seems to prefer this 600LT over the 720S/Senna as he's not 'chasing laptimes' but just wants to have fun and feel connected to the car. Don't think your argument works as the 600LT in fact is a playful/handsful/challenging/fun car to drive.
I bloody love Chris Harris. Top Gear will never be the same without the trio but Chris has been elevated so we see what he can do and we still get to see them do their thing with a huge budget so it can't be a bad thing
I love that you still do these Chris. Best auto journalist right now, race car experience, loves cars and knows how to communicate car details from interior to mechanical feedback. Love it and keep it up
One of my favorite ever car review videos, of all time, across youtube or TV or digital broadcast network - is Chris Harris reviewing his Citreon 2CV. He brings so much genuine excitement and love and care to his narrative. If Top Gear turned into the Christ Harris show, I'd be more than happy!
At 4:21 I was jealous cause in my car's window the water droplets go vertically but in the 600LT they would go side ways . Hmmm what a great tech !!! 😆😆😆😆😆
Chris Harris is the Leonardo da Vinci of our time in understanding the nuance and beauty of the automobile from a drivers' perspective. He is 100% passion all the time; we should all aspire to this kind of life. Find what you love; love it this much.
Mr. Harris is without peers in the area of vehicle reviews. His driving skills and ability to translate the vehicle response and behavior under pressure is simply superb, he clearly sets the bar high for others. I go as far as to call them auto enthusiast Master Class.👍
The master, with a blend of car control, real world experience and a thoroughly entertaining ability to communicate and articulate to people like me.4:24 ''..trust me..'' Chris, we really do.
These are like the Chris Harris of old videos like when he was in Drive. These are the videos why I love Chris. Be more like this presenting Top Gear and everyone will love you too
Dear Chris Harris, never change =) I have always felt that you always are honest, critical AND positive, plus thar there is no other journalist that can drive like you. We all love you =)
Chris the beast. A real car journalist. If a car could talk,it would certainly use chris as The translator. Dont forget guys. Props to Neil for filming, editing, and generally speaking bringing the best out of chris harris reviews.
I’ve figured it out. The way he speaks. He speaks about cars the way Gordon Ramsey speaks about food. That direct, passionate, straight to the point no bullshit manner. It’s captivating
His reaction at 6:14 to the car snapping the other way was enough for me to leave and go work on my drift car.
what's up with that tho, i like cars but rarely drive one so i dont get it. pardon me for asking.

In a world of some incredible graduate car reviewers, Harris is the PhD among them.

Informative and interesting, he is great.
Quite the non existent honorary title that I've ever heard of one.
The best. And mustn't forget Neil's camera work.......
How does Shmee even have a following? Chris can drive and educate, the others just spout superlatives!

Harris is the king of car journos; a 7 minute video goes by in what feels like under 2 minutes. Absolute king.
Backed up by a massive budget BBC, who can hire the best editors. Harris is good though, much better than the other one the BEEB chose.
Nice seeing Pep Guardiola driving 600lt.
Weirdo. Chris harris is his name.
He does look like pep haha

Harry, Henry and Harris
Chris is much better than the old team...also he know how to ..drive...
kakakourada the old team was stellar in the final seasons. What are you smoking mate?
Henry’s kinda boring actually. Alex Goy is pretty decent though...
But I haven’t seen anything from him in ages.
4:10 the seat headrest padding is literally falling apart
It’s a prototype
Well that is a test prototype, used and abused since testing.
Don’t know whether to buy one of these or the new Toyota Aygo 🤔🤷♂️
I was leaning towards the Skoda Citigo for a more comfy ride, but then the McLaren comes in nicer colours.. 🤔🤷♂️
Those jokes are getting old
pharaon gaming i mean the joks you crazy
Is a Toyota even a comparison to McLaren?
Buy the aygo more practical ,more reliable and doesn't brake down .
I really just want to see chris spend a day in a dedicated formula d drift car.. That would be a video..
YEP
He's into fast road and track cars. Drifting is slow and pointless, unless you are a fast and furious tattooed sort..
Top Gear - I really feel you've got these videos just right: brilliant and subtle; let Chris do his stuff. Perfect.
Wow! This show still has chances of success! Chris Harris is one of the best TV hosts! Good luck!
Chris Harris critiquing cars like this makes me want to work harder so I can see what hes talking about

My favorite is when Chris Harris drove the p1 . I’ve never seen anyone drive a car so extreme . Great content keep it up 💯
very interesting---sound like Chris would prefer the 600LT over the Senna. I. would not have predicted that.
I would too. More customizations, cheaper to fix, and IMO looks a little cooler.
I've missed Chris Harris videos. They are simply the best! Love the bonnet/windscreen cam too
3:26 why so smooth?? Love Chris harris's driving
the headrest looks like its broken!
Need a dab of glue.
Probably it is car that's every journalist used
Its a prototype car, this was probably filmed a long time ago.
Got check panel gaps in person. Terrible assembly.
Chris + Neil = everything we want

chris + neil. indeed. 💯 i wish we could get dickie and jethro in there too; show would kill.
3:25 - With this shot and Chris' driving. Sheer genious. Thanks again Neil and Mr. Waterfield.
