Agree. "Summertime" was done on Shindig where the Righteous Brothers were regulars from 1964-1966. "Ebbtide" is a record but Bobby's vocals are all that's needed. Most gal reactors would hold their hearts, fan their faces with their hands, smile and even cry. They just get swept away with emotions by this love song. I can understand why. I was 10 years old when my oldest sister brought this LP home and I immediately fell in love. Also, I was privileged enough to get to see Bobby sing this on The Andy Williams show. I like it that you let the song finished without pausing. Not that pausing is no good, but....Great reaction coming from a guy. Most gal reactors would hold their hearts, fan their faces with their hands, smile and even cry. They just get swept away with emotions by this love song. I can understand why. I always enjoy watching their faces.
Many great singers tried to cover this song. But none could own it like Bobby, not even Elvis, in my opinion.
I was 10 years old when my oldest sister brought this LP home and I immediately fell in love. Also, I was privileged enough to get to see Bobby sing this on The Andy Williams show. That, and seeing the Beatles perform on Ed Sullivan were the two greatest memories of my young life. Thanks for playing!

I like the way he never looked as if he was straining to reach a note the entire song, just effortless. Wings of Pegasus has this version where he isolated the voice track, still sounds wonderful
