Racist is way overused these days it's lost all of its illgotten meaning. Nothing for you to concern yourself with. Haters will always hate. Lovers love.
Love you a bunch people needs to hush about anything that has to do with block, brown white or green, I'm white red hair Penny colored freckles on my nose very green eyes so what am i a human and God made me he has a sense of humor! Love you man and all the others listening!
Man...who the heck would get you being a racist out of that video of the RBs? I didn't get that. As a white guy, I enjoyed your reaction. Plus, part of the fun is watching people discovering they're white guys. Most people think they're black singers. Everyone I knew thought the same thing until we saw them. Then we were proud to have some white guys able to sing like all the great black artists of the time period. Anyway, if someone found racism in you review, just pray for them. You know that isn't true...and so do they. They are sick and just looking for someone to get mad at. Keep doin' what you're doin' the way you're doin' it. Bless you, brother. Soul is not a color...it's every color.
I saw your previous reaction to The Righteous Brothers. I'm white and I don't think your comments were racist. They were honest. I grew up during the Motown period and black artists had a distinctive sound that we called Soul. The Righteous Brothers actually got their name from fellow performers who were black who told them "You're righteous, brothers!" A real compliment back then. I think people can be too touchy about this. It's important to be careful not to offend, but I think we need to be a little more tolerant of each other's differences, including figures of speech and expression. Especially when they are clearly innocent and not meant to be offensive.
I heard it this way. They played clubs under the name 'The Paramours', one night at a mostly black club, one of the the customers exclaimed "that's Righteous Brother". It was and they were.
Isn't it great that music is blind when it comes to colour, religion, sexuality. Let's forget about differences and just enjoy what we have in common ❤️
I am a 76 y o white woman and I watch you all the time. I love your reactions and have never been offended. I fell in love to Righteous Bros. music...felt like I was 18 again.
Don’t worry about the haters hon. All of us white people thought Charlie Pride was white when we first heard his voice 😂. We all do the same kind of stuff. Love your reactions. Keep up the great work. This old lady is here for it 👵🏼☮️🌻❤️🙏🏼
ROFL - Came post about Charlie Pride and you beat me to it. This "Old Fart" (71) never cared if the artists were white , black, green, or purple - It's the music that mattered.
I’m white and when I first heard them back in the day thought they were black singers also, but I didn’t care. Just loved the music! We need to look past the the colors of our skin and remember that we are all human. I love your reactions and the diversity of the artists you present. Keep it up!
Thank you for addressing the negativity. Just because you stated the fact of their skin color doesn't make you racist. You are black, I am white, so what! We are people, different but the same. Keep being honest and real. God bless you.
I’m a white 69 year old woman. You are no racist! I’m so happy the young generation is discovering the music of my day! We were United as white and black because our souls were United with the love of talent and greT music! That great music will never die! I’m so happy you and other young people are living this great beautiful music! It makes my heart happy! And gives me hope that the love we had and the way we were United in music back in my days is coming back to your generation! ❤️
I am an old woman and didn't find anything wrong with how you reacted to the last video. I knew your reaction was going to be priceless and you didn't disappoint me! Keep up the good work and don't waste your breath on haters.
Apparently his Mom was in the audience, and he was very nervous, and just wanted to sing this song to his best, and ended up making one the best solo performance ever.
He was 25 years old and very nervous. It's on the Andy Williams show. Listen to Andy asking why they both don't sing it. It's pretty funny. And it's in the movie Ghost.
Oh, good grief. Whoever would accuse you of being racist after your last reaction video to the Righteous Brothers, is simply someone who’s eager to find fault in another person. You keep on doing what you’re doing!
@@user-zk5rt3gb3e Documentation of your claim? Andy Williams performed his songs live on his show. The preponderance of evidence in this instance is against you, Friend.
You're not racist! I'm white and when these guys came out on the radio most of us thought they were black. Didn't matter. Great music is great music. We're all one race - the human race.
NOT racist! Knowing races are different while celebrating differences and unexpected and joyful similarities is the most UN-racist thing you can do. Thanks for keeping it real BFAM!
People need to put people who bring this kind of stuff up in their place. I personally never put up with this sort of garbage and turn it back on them. Everyone has a right to their own opinions and values. That is what freedom is all about.
I’m white and I was proud you thought these were black singers! Your authentic reason blew me away. ❤️ I’m a fan of yours!!! Keep up and ignore negative people
I just watched your reaction to "You've Lost That Lovin' Feeling" and started watching this video. I was on my exercise bike but as soon as you mentioned people were saying you are racist I had to get off the bike and go over to my computer so I could write this. The people saying that are ridiculous!! In your Lovin' Feeling reaction you CLEARLY said we are ALL Brothers! I'm a 59 year old white man and I love channels like yours. I'm so tired of people intentionally trying to tear us apart by race / age / gender. Of course we need to deal with real problems, but you are part of the solution, not the problem. Thank you for your genuine spirit.
I never thought you were a racist. I just laughed at your honest surprise and knew you were younger. My dad had that exact same reaction when he saw Elvis on TV the first time....it happens. Chase down the Bill Medley version of this, that he sang in memory of Bobby. Chills!
Listen, friend. That was Bobby Hatfield, arguably the embodiment of blue-eyed soul. He did it in one take, live, and with zero enhancements. That was really just Bobby killing it in a single take.
I have never heard that! Medley is playing the piano on it. He later said, "If I had known the song was going to be such a hit, I would have brought in a better piano player." Hatfield, after is last studio take, said, "I can do it better." Medley told him, "No, you can't." He must have been thinking about putting these final high notes onto the record (which they are not--that ending is a surprise here that radio listeners had not heard--WOW).
@@bobhess7434 Bill played piano on the studio recording. Here it was the Andy Williams orchestra… and they were fantastic. Bill was off-stage with Andy… they both came back and joined Bobby as a trio singing ‘What’d I Say?’
This song was in the movie Ghost and Austin Brown (from HomeFree) covered it, wonderful reaction. Don't let the haters get to you, you are great just the way you are.
Unchained Melody is one of the most covered songs in history, but nobody sang it better than Bobby Hatfield. This is the version that ALL the others are judged by.
I am an old lady in her 60s and back in the day, it was considered impolite to begin clapping or cheering when people were still singing their song. It was simply not done. 🙄🧐😂. And the clapping might have sounded ‘restrained’ to younger people, but when THAT kind of applause happened, everyone KNEW the performance was perfection.❤️👏🏼👍🏼😎. And who cares about the haters. Everyone is so touchy about nearly everything now. Good grief. 🙄🙄. You, my friend, are a treasure. Your reactions are priceless and bring us back to the time that WE first heard music like this. Please don’t change a thing about you. Be yourself. I am a new fan of yours and now a subscriber.🥰❤️😘
This song was played in the movie "Ghost", with Patrick Swaze, and Demi Moore. They used this version of the son, with Bobby Hatfield singing. He had a very unique beautiful voice. R.I.P.
I'm an old white lady and I LOVE you! Your reactions are so genuine and your take on the Righteous Brothers first time viewing was so sweet! Yes! They were a surprise to everybody! Just like the first time I saw Rick Astley, he was the "wrong" size and tan. But music is music and to be appreciated from every source.
No, you shouldn't have to I liked your reaction yes I am older and white and when you thought they where brothers I thought he isgoing to be surprised. Ignore the haters life is too short
The wrong size and tan?? Oh love, He Was Amazing!! This music formed the majority of my 'dance life' and... the righteous brothers were sooo amazing throughout my early adult years... without them my "club life" would have been really dull and boring... LOL
He was 25 years old at the time that he sang the song, his parents was out there in the audience, and he was very nervous but you wouldn't have known it anyways what a voice awesome smooth as butter I love him LOL
I grew up with the Righteous Bros. They were incredible singers and had great songs to sing. It was a wonderful time for music. Thanks so much for reacting to them. PS ignore any stupid remarks. That's the internet today, unfortunately. Keep discovering the music.
The audience is utterly silent, so they can hear every bit of the song. That's respect for sure. And every person I've watched review this was shocked the dude was white. People will be ignorant and best thing to do is ignore them.
Your definitely not be racist, you were just telling the truth. Coz most singer's of soulful music were the wonderful people of colour, and some people of pale complexion, were also soulful singer's, simple.
I heard this song my whole life live , I’m white and thought for sure by the name and the sound that they were black as well, I was surprised too! Such great music! I hope this kind of talent will make a come back soon , and I find nothing racial about you’re comments at all, only people that are not secure or have an imbalance in their own thoughts or feelings about race are easily bothered , walk on my brother!
He sang this with a head cold and his mother in the audience. She had never seen him on stage. They little bite of his lip at the end meant he knew he had nailed this song. Righteous Brothers were hands down the best duo with a perfect mix of tenor and baritone. No one has ever been able to hit that note again.
AB, "Unchained Melody" has been covered by 574 artists, from Liberace to Elvis to Angelina Jordan. No one comes close to Bobby Hatfield. Some say it is the best live performance of a pop song of all time. Anyone who hears a group from the 60s named the Righteous Brothers singing soul and doesn't expect them to be black, well they're just not paying attention. Great reaction; it's how everyone feels when they first hear the song.
"No one comes close to Bobby Hatfield." Straight facts. I'm not sure this will ever be topped - a live, one chance, straight mic feed perfect performance. That just isn't done.
@@ABtheKreator it was also in the movie Ghost. The 2 brothers flipped a coin to see who would sing it. Bobby won and he killed it. Everybody and their brother have tried to outdo this performance. Can't do it.
Anyone born in the 50’s has lived through all of the greatest music. It’s awesome to see the reactions of people hearing it for the first time. SO MUCH MORE TO HEAR.
Greatest thing about this particular performance is it was his mothers first time ever watching him live. This was such an important performance to him because he really didnt want to disappoint his momma.
It was live in a Television studio! No auto tune no electronic help! Love that little smile at the end when he knew he nailed it! I guarantee you every lady in the audience was on fire by the end of that!! Can't imagine how many passionate love making sessions happened over the decades with that song playing in the background💋💋
This is one of the greatest love songs ever written. This is 25 year old Bobby Hatfield. He is in the rock and roll hall of fame. They called him blue-eyed soul. 1965
Bobby Hatfield, one of the greatest, most soulfully rich voices to have ever graced the stage. And keep in mind, this wasn't auto tune, this was before active mixing, this was live. Live!
I'm an old (seventies) Canadian white woman. This is the music I grew up on. Your reactions to this and the previous Righteous Brothers numbed were spot on and RIGHTEOUS! I too thought they were black when I first heard them but as someone else said, and probably better than I, music crosses all lines and joins us together in its appreciation. Keep on doing what you do so well and piss on the haters! P.S. All these years later, I still get shivers when I hear these two. Thanks.
It was in the movie "'Ghost". During their career whenever they would record an album, they each did a solo for the album. This happened to be Bobby Hatfield's solo from the album. The complete video is from their appearance on the Andy Williams show in 1965. The complete video shows the Brothers singing with Andy Williams. I loved watching your reaction when he hit those high notes!
Best version hands down of this classic song. Absolutely loved the Righteous Brothers. They were the best at blue-eyed soul. Sadly we lost Bobby Hatfield about 18 years ago. He had a beautiful one of a kind voice. Austin Brown from Home Free did a very beautiful tribute of this song.
Before they were the Righteous Brothers they appeared in a club that was mostly people of color patrons. After they finished their song a person in the audience yelled out, that was righteous, brothers. They changed their name and were considered blue eyed sole.
The people of the mid to late fifties an early sixties when Motown was just picking up steam and the best radio stations were out of Chicago and they played music by people of color. So you will hear elements of Soul in a lot of White music from that period. Even Elvis Presley’s early music had elements of some Black artists like James Brown. To ignore that is to miss a huge element of the music of that period. So if you are not watching the Righteous Brothers they sound like Black artists. It was a big deal to parents in the south because the young people were gravitating toward Black music. It should never be racist to notice the soul influence of that time. It was new to a lot of people and they were experimenting with the sound. The very early rock and roll music also had elements from Black artists.
EXACTLY!! For me, I absolutely LOVE seeing the surprised reactions when that spotlight finds Bill and Bobby! So, for me, I gravitate towards black people when it comes to reacting to certain songs/artists. That initial surprise is an added bonus! Does that make me racist? 🙄😂
They had a coin toss, bobby won that toss. Bobby was a tenor/counter tenor. This was a live performance Andy Williams show 1965. No autotune, no gimmicks, one take. What a beautiful blessed man, with such a voice. We are going back 50 + years on this live performance. Bobby made this song his own. I don't believe anyone could match his range/octave (s). Happy that u enjoyed this presentation.
Don’t worry about these idiots. I’m white and 77. When I first heard them, I said to my girlfriend ‘they’re the best black singers I’ve ever heard’ I was soon put right!!!! Probably the best duo ever heard. Take care, UK Veteran
Sorry to hear you’ve been hit by the PC police. It’s utterly silly and sad, the way some people live looking for ways to be offended. Personally, one of the things I love about reaction channels is seeing all kinds of assumptions falling away. So your surprise was a wonderful treat to me. Keep up the honest reactions and you’ll always have an audience.
I’ve been listening to this duo my whole life and I thought they were black. I’m not white but I am melanin deficient and didn’t know this until I saw it on TH-cam reactions. 😆😆😆
People are ignorant bro… can’t give them the attention- just keep doing you! Love all your work man. Def my fav reactor! And as far as these righteous Righteous Brothers- straight 🔥🔥 Classics! This one was featured in the movie Ghost and was remade(covered) by Elvis… Soul and Inspiration is another amazing song to do… Blessings and favor!
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duet Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on an 88 key piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary. "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" was the most played song on the radio in the 20th Century. "Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965. Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby's use of "Runs" in his singing style has inspired countless others in their own music. Nobody has ever done it better. 5 notes to say the word "I".....Early in their career at a small venue after the show a black man said to them.... You two brothers are righteous.... the source of their name. In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......
You are not racist. I have heard many people of all races express shock that the Righteous Brothers are white. Give your haters 2.5 nanoseconds of thought and keep on honestly reacting to videos. By the way, I'm a 65 year old, white woman so I can speak with authority. Love you.
They played his version in the movie Ghost in the 80s. This was covered by several people but no one has matched him. His range was unbelievable and he did it so effortlessly and without straining. This was a B side on a 45 record and the other one, Bill Medley, let him do it solo. They were both great. There is an intro to this performance on the Andy Williams show that talks about it.
Bobby improvised a lot in this version ( the ending was more dramatic )was different than the one done on the popular recording that was used in the Movie "Ghost".
Love, love, love your reaction. I'm an old white lady & soul is soul no matter who can sing it. Screw the haters. Your reaction was genuine & I loved it!!! Keep up the great work. I'm a fan!!!
It was used in Ghost, and lots of people recorded it. This is the absolute best. He owns it. The Righteous Brothers did many songs as solo. Solo and duet, real talent! Thanks.
I've never heard a more sincere reaction to this song ...thank you ..from the fans that grew up or didn't grow up...but ..admire the performance that was given by Bobby Hatfield
Hey man, you aren't racist, I'm 56 years old and white, when I first heard these Brothers on the radio I thought they were black too. Don't worry about it, too many people are needing to call other people something instead of letting them be. You're doing a good job...
I call bs on the trolls! I am 72 and been around a very long time. I know racist when I see it. You are not it, young man. Half the fun of all the reactions is watching the younger generations reacting to the music of our lives. Keep on keeping on! You owe no explanation to anyone.👍
Bobby was on the popular Andy Williams TV show. Bobby was singing to millions of listeners. Not bad for someone with serious stage fright? This particular version is considered the best live recording ever.❤
As a white middle aged woman, I enjoying seeing your reaction to some of the classics. Nothing wrong with checking out different styles of music and having an appreciation for them all. Love it!
Those of us who grew up with this music will remember it always. It captured our souls, and will never go away. I'm glad you got introduced to it; it's a blessing.
Ignore those people !!!! Haters gotta hate, not worth your time. Tell em to go do one 😡. We're here because ww enjoy your reactions and personality 😉 ❤
Dear AB, This is the first reaction channel I've subscribed to. I enjoy watching you a lot. I was in 10th-11th grade when these guys were around first. You are SO NOT A RACIST! I think it's absolutely fantastic that you admitted your surprise and followed through by liking them & playing more. The Righteous Brothers, as I'm sure other people have told you, began the "Blue Eyed Soul" genre. They helped to bring Black music to middle class white suburban kids. Now you are bringing these white soul singers to a wider audience, both Black & white. I appreciate you! Renee
Many artists have sung this song, but this is the definitive version. The studio version was used in Ghost. They took turns doing soloes on their albums.
The other Righteous Brother didn’t join in on this song because he didn’t think it would be a hit. The Righteous Brothers were interviewed by Andy Williams. He said when Unchained Melody is sung, he sits in the corner & kicks himself. 🤣😂🤣 The interview with Andy Williams is on TH-cam. BTW, I love your reactions!
This is simply the best live performance ever recorded. If it wasn't recorded in 1965 on the Andy WIlliams show, people actually would not believe it. If I recall, Bobby Hatfield got to sing this instead of Bill Medley over a coin toss.
That is the story. Not only that, Bobby was sick with a cold and his mom was in the audience to hear him on stage for the first time. I heard an interview where Bill was asked what he did when Bobby sang that. He said, I find a corner and kick myself. Either of them could have delivered the song. Bobby just got the opportunity.
Unchained Melody" is a 1955 song with music by Alex North and lyrics by Hy Zaret. North wrote the music as a theme for the prison film Unchained (1955),[1] hence the song title. Todd Duncan sang the vocals for the film soundtrack.[2] It has since become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, most notably by the Righteous Brothers in 1965.[3] According to the song's publishing administrator, over 1,500 recordings of "Unchained Melody" have been made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.[4]
AB, don't pay the haters no mind. They don't deserve any attention. Austin Brown of Home Free on his solo channel has an amazing rendition of this song. He is actually incredible at the old school songs! But might I suggest Everybody Walking This Land by Home Free next? That song has a powerful message about racism that everyone should hear. Also listen to what Tim has to say at the end of the video. Great reaction.💜
This brought alot of tears. The Vietnam War had been dragging for 10 years. For many of us it was a song from a soldier wanting to know if his love was still true. Listen to the words, "I'm coming home." It's all that kept the guys sane, knowing they had something to come home for.
This was from a prison movie. Just 1 more man missing the love of his life and unable to get to her. Doesn't matter the reason, just matters that he loves her and prays that she is still his. Beautiful song sung beautifully by Bobby Hatfield. ❤❤
People need to relax..Your response to all that ignorance was spot on!Respect!!It's your channel anyway if they have a problem then they can move along so thoes of us that enjoy and appreciate your reactions can pull up without all that silliness.
They would take turns doing solos every once in awhile. They flipped a coin on which one of them would get to sing this and Bobby won. Bill played the piano for it. Bill joked and said if he knew this was going to become so popular he would have hired a better piano player to do it justice.
Your reaction to this song makes my heart so happy. I was 13 years old when I first heard it being played on the radio. And happily, it was part of my high school dances. The Righteous Brothers were such a special duo that no other duo could emulate and it is a joy to see younger people reacting to their songs in the same familiar, wide eye way. Music history of the 20th century has so many gems of artistic merit. Glad to see your reaction.☮️

LOL, I watched your last video on the Righteous Brothers. Loved your reactions. Racist is wrong for people to say. Surprised yes. A little shocked yes but in no way was any racism involved. I am an old white woman. I started listening to music in the 60s that was from the Temptations, the Platters, Nate King Cole, and so many more. There was a local Oldies but Goodies I found on the radio with 30s to 50s music. It was awesome. My friends thought I was crazy but were soon cruising to the channel.
@@eleanorhebbe6343 yes it was used in the movie Ghost but that wasn't till 1990. The Righteous Brothers sang Unchainded Melody in 1965. The original release was in 1955.
This song was originally written as a song for a Movie about someone in prison. Now listen to the song and you'll understand why he was wondering if she was still his and why time went by so slowly. This was the first hit of this song and all remakes are always compared to this version. In reference to your " I didn't know they were... " comment , I was waiting for you to just spit it out. Society has become overly sensitive today and for no reason except to proclaim their own self-righteous. I feel that today's music is stifled. Go look at a list of top 100 songs from the 60's or 70's and look at the variety of genres we listened to, all of which were on the same station. On today's radio you have 1 genre and they play the same 15-20 songs on a loop, B O R I N G.

The most well known version of the song is by the Righteous Brothers. You have probably heard the recorded studio version, which is in the movie 'Ghost'. This is a live version of the song.😉
From what I've heard, there have been hundreds of covers of this song by countless artists... including Elvis Presley. But Bobby's version is the best. He owns this. And both brothers often did solos on their albums. This is one of them. 👍
I saw Bobby sing this live in the late 70"s. Videos, recordings cannot catch how great his voice was live. He is the greatest vocalist I have ever seen live. Many acts covered this song, Elvis among them.

This was on the Andy Williams TV show. TV audience. There is a video of this including the intro by Williams. Bill Medly, the other Righteous Brother, was there, but this song was all Bobby Hatfield. They are not brothers in any sense of the word. No auto tune, no enhancement. Brilliant singers! I respect you, man. The race element was obvious even in the day. They called their style “blue eyed soul”. ✌️

maybe if we all would just take a deep breath before jumping off the deep end maybe we wouldn't well,...you know, jump off the deep end so often..
Last I looked and heard we all bleed red. Vet here.
You probably at least heard it on American Idol- the contestants have sung it a lot over the years.
If THAT performance evidences NERVOUSNESS....then we need more of it!!!❤
AND he had a cold!
Oh, good grief. Whoever would accuse you of being racist after your last reaction video to the Righteous Brothers, is simply someone who’s eager to find fault in another person. You keep on doing what you’re doing!
no autotune, no stage full of dancers, just a man and his voice..............pure artistry
@@user-zk5rt3gb3e Documentation of your claim? Andy Williams performed his songs live on his show. The preponderance of evidence in this instance is against you, Friend.
@O OI: This was not lip synched. This was a live performance on the Andy Williams Show. It was performance before an audience!!
It is actually a compliment!! The best R&B singers come from Detroit !!!!
People need to put people who bring this kind of stuff up in their place. I personally never put up with this sort of garbage and turn it back on them. Everyone has a right to their own opinions and values. That is what freedom is all about.
Exactly what you said!
Music has no race nor gender! Bravo for your stance.
Omg this was so sweet and true

I never thought you were a racist. I just laughed at your honest surprise and knew you were younger. My dad had that exact same reaction when he saw Elvis on TV the first time....it happens.
Chase down the Bill Medley version of this, that he sang in memory of Bobby. Chills!
Listen, friend. That was Bobby Hatfield, arguably the embodiment of blue-eyed soul. He did it in one take, live, and with zero enhancements. That was really just Bobby killing it in a single take.
And Bobby won the coin toss to decide which brother got to do this solo.
@@bobhess7434 Finally someone else noticed the difference.
@@bobhess7434 Bill played piano on the studio recording. Here it was the Andy Williams orchestra… and they were fantastic. Bill was off-stage with Andy… they both came back and joined Bobby as a trio singing ‘What’d I Say?’
He also bit his lip and smiled at the end because his mother was in the audience and he knew he killed it and made her proud.
This song was in the movie Ghost and Austin Brown (from HomeFree) covered it, wonderful reaction. Don't let the haters get to you, you are great just the way you are.
In addition, it appears in the most iconic scene of the film.

You probably remember it from the movie Ghost. That was a the studio version but everyone wants to sing this song. Bobby Hatfield owns it.
Ummmmm I remember the movie but not this song honestly
Unchained Melody is one of the most covered songs in history, but nobody sang it better than Bobby Hatfield. This is the version that ALL the others are judged by.
Elvis style was diff but was damn good also, but of course it was Elvis.
@@michaelf6705 Don't know why but I never took to Elvis. I know most people think he is the king, but he just doesn't appeal to me.
@@GSD-hd1yh Well im no Elvis freak, but he has a few outstanding songs and he sang truly like one of a kind.

I remember that
I am an old lady in her 60s and back in the day, it was considered impolite to begin clapping or cheering when people were still singing their song. It was simply not done. 🙄🧐😂. Riiite.. ! I agree & sub now too.
This song was played in the movie "Ghost", with Patrick Swaze, and Demi Moore. They used this version of the son, with Bobby Hatfield singing. He had a very unique beautiful voice. R.I.P.
I am a white man and I loved your reaction to that song I'm glad you love it
His parents were in the audience. That little smile at the end is “I nailed it”
I'm an old white lady and I LOVE you! Your reactions are so genuine and your take on the Righteous Brothers first time viewing was so sweet! Yes! They were a surprise to everybody! Just like the first time I saw Rick Astley, he was the "wrong" size and tan. But music is music and to be appreciated from every source.
Did he hear Bobby Hatfield sing Summertime?
Ditto!
That's exactly why I don't like concerts that much anymore! Can barely hear the music.

Truth!
Agree 100%
"No one comes close to Bobby Hatfield." Straight facts. I'm not sure this will ever be topped - a live, one chance, straight mic feed perfect performance. That just isn't done.
Oh ok 👍🏾 appreciate that. Maybe I’ll get to another artist singing this song somewhere this year lol
@@ABtheKreator it was also in the movie Ghost. The 2 brothers flipped a coin to see who would sing it. Bobby won and he killed it. Everybody and their brother have tried to outdo this performance. Can't do it.

This is 25 year old Bobby Hatfield. He is in the rock and roll hall of fame.
They called him blue-eyed soul.

They called them blue eyed soul!
P.S. All these years later, I still get shivers when I hear these two. Thanks.
I am 75 years white lady, love your reaction. I watch you and other young black men because I have bi-racial grand babies. I am so blessed
This is a totally true story, BTW. As spoken from the horse's mouth on camera. They were actually really funny guys.
But also, the term brother wasn't as much a racial/black term back then. In was a term used for people who were part of any social movement.
I love when a reactor realizes an ethnicity and is surprised. From blue eye soul to Black Country artists. Music unites.
Take care,

People were EXTREMELY POLITE in 1965. No talk, no clapping until the performance is over.

This is simply the best live performance ever recorded. If it wasn't recorded in 1965 on the Andy WIlliams show, people actually would not believe it. If I recall, Bobby Hatfield got to sing this instead of Bill Medley over a coin toss.
😀

Okay, I'm an ol' white chick who just watched your reaction to "You've Lost That Loving Feeling". I really like your reaction and your personality, and I just subscribed. Can't wait to see how you will feel about this upcoming "Unchained Melody"! Btw, hope you pay no never mind to the idjits who show their own racism by calling you a racist!
