Habits to get into and maintain: 1. Regularly challenge and stimulate your brain. 2. Drink plenty of water (and less alcohol, for that matter). 3. Address the stress. 4. Cut out the salt (and sugar, for that matter). 5. Focus on one thing at a time (and cut out distractions). 6. Decrease screen time, especially before bed. 7. Sit / stand up straight.
It's kind of funny how one bad habit actually leads to several others... for example, I suffer from depression which causes a significant amount of stress in my daily life. Then because I feel so stressed out, I'm too exhausted to do anything so I resort just hunching over my phone, endlessly scrolling instead of engaging in something more stimulating... and as people with depression also know, your diet tends to suffer a little too The whole thing just kinda cycles from one underlying and overwhelming issue😅
Humans are funny like that. We make a specific name for every part of the body. You could give a name to every petal of a flower if you wanted to, but it doesn't change the fact that the entire flower began with a single seed.
I find these pieces of information to be undeniably true. It wasn't until I found this video that I discovered how overwhelming these activities can be and how they impact our brains. I find myself checking all of these as symptoms of mine. It's excruciatingly sad, honestly, and I truly felt called out, realizing that I really have to put an end on what's been holding me back in order to regain my foothold in life. @@Psych2go Yes. I usually go to my phone to temporarily get my mind off stress, anxiety, depression. It's so addictive cause it makes me feel better. Its hard
The hydrating one is very true, I used to never hydrating and I could never focus and never felt good until I started to drink more water. Stay hydrated guys!!!! 😊❤
So if I’m understanding this correctly, a considerable number of people who have computer/tech-related jobs are likely killing their brains at a faster rate because: - work on computer/phone usually leads to poor posture - work usually follows them home, results in more stress -> few breaks in work = little time to make time for self-care - work & stress (possibly relax time too) = more screen time - salty snacks and caffeine drinks = dehydration This is a worrying cycle, considering these all can feed into each other so easily. Also leads to a collection of muscular stresses within the body.
I love how you actually give your sources so that we know you aren’t making anything up, and so we could find more information. It’s really helpful ❤ Edit: This is the moment I realized what my username is… 💀
Ya, # 3 is the big one for me. I always feel the need to get done as much as possible just so things get done, and there is a lot to get done. Even my planned week of me time has turned into taking the opportunity to get certain things done. 😩
@@Internet_nostalgia76 I would say that too, but like Arizona heat said don't go outside, all my friends are on online realm, everything challenging is online, I read all my books when I was 11, and I already played DND with plushies a billion times.
The issue with studies is they are often affected by bias or outside influences not considered in the study. Consuming too much salt causing damage to the brain is likely true if the person is also not hydrating, but salt is also extremely important for helping the body store water, which helps the brain. Too much screen time is another one. I feel like the better question is "Which comes first, the decreased cortex thickness or the preference for screen time?" Do people with thinner cortexes prefer screens because they're easier for them to comprehend? Or do the screens actually cause the thinner cortexes?
1: not giving it a challenge 💪🏻 2: not hydrating 💦 3:not addressing chronic stress😓 4: consuming too much salt 🧂 5: multitasking 😮💨 6: too much screen time 👩💻 7: slouching or poor posture ❤❤
I think that the thinner cortex issue with people having excessive screen time stems not form the screen time itself, but rather, from how they utilize said time. If a person is using their device as a "zombie box", constantly feeding it useless information, or things for "shits and giggles" (such as memes, news, uninspiring video game playthroughs, etc.), naturally, they don't get to exercise their brain while at it. They shut it down, and let it roll. If person would spend more time researching stuff, solving problems, or otherwise tinkering or experimenting with something on their machine, even if in a video game, I think they would not suffer this issue, see no reason why. So, in my eyes, this is definitely a case of correlation, not causation.
Very well said. In the end, technology is just a tool, a means to an end, and how we utilize it is the most important factor. At the same time, with the rise of complex algorithms whose sole purpose is to attract people to their apps, it is becoming increasingly difficult to use technology in a healthy manner.
Eventhough I know all of these harmful habbits, I still keep doing it deliberately or accidentally. Until recently, these habits affect me so much that I couldn't ignore them anymore. I’m 23 turning 24 on the 31st of this month and since coming forth and speaking my truth, freshly after escaping an abusive relationship with my assailant and abuser, I’ve actively sought out ways to enhance my mental prosperity. I’ve already been very knowledge-seeking since childhood, but upon wanting to recover I found myself thoroughly invested in educating myself any way possible. Following this, I’ve been working out more, staying hydrated and always finding things to research.
Death ain't nothin' but a heartbeat away I'm livin' life, do or die, what can I say? I'm 23 now, but will I live to see 24? The way things is going, I don't know Tell me why are we so blind to see That the ones we hurt are you and me? I must :D
Okay, I don't usually do this, but I can't help but love your voice. So calm and relaxing, while also giving off vibes of elegance and intelligence. This video is very interesting, I always try to be healthy and some of those I had no idea were bad for mental health. Time for some self-improvement 💪
I try to remain hydrated, do what I can to address whatever stresses me to people that are patient enough with me to listen to me vent so I feel stress very little, I've been laying off the screens a little bit but not as much as I should start doing. Lately I've been focusing on myself a lot and trying to improve my mental health, since watching yer vids I've been feeling more motivated to keep giving the improvements going!
One of the stress things I have been addressing but has been continuously growing is a very big and scary fear I’ve had since I found out my Nanny had cancer. My fear is that when I’m out or occupied on a very focus filling activity, something very bad will happen to my family. My mother lives on her own, and, this has given me the fear that if I’m out of the house, my mum will… Something would happen to her and I wouldn’t be able to help her in time… God, I’m beginning to tear up at just the thought right now…
Is it possible to get "Medical Alert" ? My father used to have that & he had a watch (or you can choose a necklace) plus there is a small device that interacts speaking with the person. It's wonderful because they just push a button on their watch or necklace & if they don't answer the small device right away (which sits on a table) - the people at medical alert will alert you and call an ambulance if necessary, plus you can keep a house key in a Lockbox so they can get inside to help.
I was just diagnosed with frontal-lobe mild dementia. All this is sooo important. I spend way to much time on my phone, and if not for walking my dog, i wouldnt get any exercise. I was always a great multi tasker, but no more. I was an accountabt all my life and i can't even do that anymore.
Yeah... great... screens can lead to something like that. Now to figure out how to stop using them in a society that revolves around digital things even for actual work.
Psych2go never seizes to amaze me. The quality information put out to the public, the really cute and well done animations in the videos, the choice of music and the lovely voice the narrator(s) have just work in sync so well together. Too much water can harm your brain as well, causing conditions that can also harm your brain like water intoxication, or water toxicity. The recommendation of 8 glasses a day is needlessly confusing but that actually represents about two liters a day. Another way to monitor this is by urine color: it should be pale yellow, not dark, or clear.
@@XplosivDS Weirdly passive aggressive comment, but yes: some people might not need an guideline for how much water they should be drinking, but if one person does then that is more than enough reason to make a helpful comment. It's not like you can overload your brain with knowledge. :)
@@Psychol-Snooper Oh, sorry if it sounded aggressive. I was just saying that thankfully it's not something most people should worry about since most are drinking less water than you need rather than more. But if you are it's definitely worth knowing, sorry for the confusion!
@@XplosivDS Thanks for the clarification (I've adjusted my previous comment.) The color guideline should be helpful for anyone. Drinking too much water can compound low mineral levels like potassium, which is one that even healthy westerners often struggle with. It can cause muscular cramping in the extremities, and make it harder to remove sodium from your body, adding to the brain issues mentioned in the video.
@@Psychol-SnooperThere was nothing passive aggressive about that comment. They also made a valid point. Most people drink too little, not too much. "Too much" is never good.
I'm reading a good book and started to play the piano /something new for my brain/.🎯 Multi-tasking isn't good, but from time to time I come back to this bad habit. 🔥 When we learn something, for example the second language it's a good idea to expose to this activity in diffrent way - less screen time, more listening or reading.👍
I have so many things going on all the time… it’s impossible for me to not multi-task, I’ve tried making schedules but they all just keep getting forgotten about and the cycle continues I also keep forgetting to drink water which makes me dehydrated :( I “like” to challenge my body until it’s limit, but it’s not really doing any good for me right now.
ive had a bad posture for a long time, some other stuff were the issue as well but one thing a physiotherapist once said really struck with me and i think its one of the best things a doctor told be about : your posture is A LOT affected by how you feel. so if you are sad depressed loneley etc you will hunche over , make yourself smaller, leave your shoulders hanging etc. feeling happieness, pride, n other happy emotions changes it completely to a confident upright good posture another top 1 sentence was : your best sitting position/ posture is the NEXT one - meaning that even having a good upright posture can be BAD if you maintain it for too long. the human body is designed to move and not stay still the whole time. give them muscles a good stretch adn keep changing your positions (well maybe not hunche over completely for too long since that puts a LOOOOOT pressure on your spine)
the art in this video is sooo cute. i love the way the characters got hairstyles and individual leafs, while the style stays very similar to the original design! great work!
Thank you Psych2go for helping address how some subtle everyday activities or habits can be unhealthy to our brain and mental health, I will definitely take your advice to heart. I just have one question, can spending a good amount of time on my computer per day (school wise) equate to similar problems with too much screen time?
I thjnk so Moder society is geared toward self destruction and wont hesitate to take you with it They would certainly tell you to spend so much time on screen without knowledge or even regard of health
@Channel Name I wouldn’t be surprised either and it does make sense. Thankfully I’ve stayed far away from the most toxic parts of Social Media (like Twitter, Facebook, and definitely Tic Tock) and have little interest in mobile games so I think I’m in the clear other than loving to write and having the habit of staying up late at night digital drawing. I hope you have a good day and wish you luck.
That's a great question and thank you for the kind words. Thanks to @Channel Name for replying too. The saying goes "too much of anything is never a good thing." This is why we strive to have a balance in our life. Physical health, mental health, spiritual health and relationship health.

Whew, I got a lot to work on. But I've already been making lots of changes over the past few months, so I hope to be mindful of these things moving forward
I do push away my stress a lot. I also use a lot of screen time, but I’m really trying to reduec this. The reason why I’m using a lot of screen time is because I don’t always get out of the house because of being totally blind. But when my staff comes or when my behavioral consultant comes, I take every advantage of those oportunities and get out as often as I can. Or when my mom is off of work, I ask her if we are doing anything. Don’t get me wrong, I do practicing singing, and I play my piano and other musical instruments in my house. I have a sensory space downstairs, I listen to Soundscapes, I watch gameshows, I read a lot. When it’s nice out, I go outside on my swing. But I feel like I should have a life.
I think you should have the life you like having. Whether thats inside or outside. Screen time can also be used to you advantage, if u put tje right things on your screen;)
@@hnnhml I think you’re right! I don’t just use screen time for social media. I also use it for listening to music, quite a bit actually. I think I use my screen for listening to music more than getting on social media to be perfectly honest.

Some good advice. I'd like to add though that salt is an important sodium component as an electrolyte. Hydration is not only about water but sodium, magnesium, potassium and calcium. These are ultra important electrolytes for proper cell function. Anyway, as a 55yr old, I get funny looks from Gen-Z when I say how much I love Beat Saber, VR. Keeps me both young at heart and mind!

As an digital artist, I can confirm that ever since I've started my eye condition just gets woooooorse... I don't need glasses (yet) but a few months ago I started to have this tiny dark spot flying around in my vision and I'm worried that I damaged some part of my eyes to the point a tiny bit of it can't process light anymore. It gets darker when I stay up too late working on screen devices like laptop or my iPad.
Some screens can damage your eyes. Maybe consider an e-ink tablet? For your laptop getting a screen with eye care features by either buying a new laptop or replacing the screen might improve things. There are also computer-glasses that block the heat from screens and thereby protect your eyes from drying out.
@@petertrypsteen wow, I've never heard about either of those things, thank you for the tips! I already have blue light blocking glasses, they help a lot, but it still doesn't eliminate all the negative effects. I have a HUGE issue with blue light lol.
This is not medical advice, but the dark spot flying around that you described sounds like a "floater". They are not harmful to your eyes, and are very common. If you are worried, consult an eye doctor.
Thank you for this video ! This help me alot.stuff that i do 1. Not drinking much water 2. Multitasking 3. Studiying on ipad 4. Bad posture 5. Eating alot of salt Thanks alot for helping does studiying on ipad harm my brain.
I have a question, is it possible to recover from these conditions when you start adapting as soon as possible, or is your brain going to be permanently affected. I'm 16 and my cognitive functions are drastically declining while I'm also checking multiple boxes from the video. I don't hydrate myself regularly, Screen time is well over 7 hours, I don't do anything to stimulate my brain anymore which I'm desperately trying to improve but failing to lack of motivation for anything and everything. I'm horrified of the aspect of living my life while my mind is constantly trying to think through mud and really hope the reversal of these effects is possible at my current age.
At least I remember being awfully horrified of the concept and was able to name up numerous consequences that would affect my lifestyle. Now I can't remember what they were nor seem to care as much anymore which is arguably a pretty negative thing.
Oh wow, Psychtogo. Thank you so so much for this video. Its December, and this is probably the most helpful video Ive watched in TH-cam. Period. I definitely need to improve my posture, and I'm not awful at staying hydrated, but I could do better. And a second thank you for making me feel much less guilty for my lack of success in multi-tasking! I knew multi-tasking was bad, lol.
I’m guilty of too much screen time right now. Been out of work to let myself heal and recover and it’s been too long. Also, could you guys maybe do a video about the side effects of…. Dealing with a phobia? Example: just had a wicked thunderstorm early this morning and it sent me panicking and spiked my heart rate. I’m terrified of thunder. Sadly, I know exactly what causes thunder, just, my brontophobia takes over and I hate it. I’m sure it’s just anxiety really. Still. I’m also still a bit jumpy today with any sort of rumble/thump. Let me edgy even though it’s been many hours later. Heck. One time, I had thunder crack overhead when I lived at my parents’ place and I made a weird, terrified noise. I don’t think gentle exposure is an option either. Really really hate loud noise
I’ve been a lot of excessive screen time throughout my life and I’m about to be a senior in highschool and I don’t want my life to distraught itself and making sure that I’m taking care of I’ve been drawing (that’s my favorite activity and exercise)I love those 2 things and it really helps me out.
leave it to the psycho-neurology study scientists; for now you can stop the harmful habits, and do well with healthy habits, despite your curiosity remaining potentially forever unfulfilled; do not experiment on yourself outside of proven self improvement practices you have access to.
@@Dm3qXY You are a overreacting, don’t you think? Your interpretation of me experimenting on myself goes way too far. You watched too many movies. It’s not so uncommon that people don’t sleep enough or drink too little. So it’s only natural to wanna know if that damage can be undone or if you simply can try to not make it worse. Is it forbidden to ask interested questions? This channel is for educational purposes and any good education should touch your curiosity and therefore motivate you to think and ask questions about it. So trying to hinder anyone to ask interested questions is the exact opposite. Don’t be so judgemental and encourage others instead to reflect on their behaviour. You’re basically telling me, that I shouldn’t follow my inner questions just because I am not an expert. This attitude will make you dull towards your environment.

@@Dm3qXY So much about your vivid interpretation. Sorry man, but it’s not possible to talk to you without you getting too emotional or attacking. I only engange in respectful discussions.
@@kineko7823 yep, that's my point, you see it as an attack, when all i did was giving an overly cautious recommendation about not experimenting on yourself (because some damage is not reversible).. and now, because i didn't encourage you giving yourself damage in the name of curiosity, i am the one seemingly "attacking" you. lemme reformulate again: "Can you undo a decrease as well?" - if it was from dehydration, volume wise, yes; but that doesn't say anything about the structural changes; "It’d be interesting to know how flexible the brain is in general" - yes, it is interesting knowing stuff in general, not by experimenting on self.
1. I'm currently learning German (using Duolingo), und ich mache das sehr gut. 2. I'm drinking enough 3. Deep breathing (Wim Hof method), Yoga & daily exercise. 4. In the past I was consuming to much salt (especially with fries), after not adding salt to the fries I noticed my blood pressure is more stable afterwards, and overal salt reduction in other foods. 5. You don't multi-task when you procrastinate 🤷♂ (it's not so much about doing multiple things, but about being worried about what other things you still need to do) 6. Yes, guilty, but I am working on reducing this 7. Find a straight wall/door, stand-up with your head shoulder-blades (don't shrug, relax) lower-backside and heels pressed against, hold for 30 seconds (this is a perfect posture),
No wonder I feel dumb all the time almost all of these match me lol in fact now knowing this it makes number 3 worse I’m defiantly gonna try and fix this thank you Psych2go 😊
3. Not addressing stress. This is something I've been dealing with for years, and after 2 heart attacks, I've noticed that my cognitive function was noticably affected
chronic stress... I had experienced that a lot... I was in depression (and I didn't know I had one) few years ago, and I had constant stomach ache. One day I went to the hospital and got gastroscopy to check if I had any health problems (Well, it was not because of the stomach ache.) The doctor told me and my mom that I had no health problems, except that my parts of my gastric mucosa (A thin layer that protects the stomach from acid) was worn off. He said it normally happens because of stress, and asked me if I had any events recently that caused me to have stress. Well, my answer was no. I didn't even recognize that I was stressed until then. I was actually feeling pretty fine for few weeks.
Thank you. Can you also post videos on how to make the brain sharper or smarter? Habits to become more intelligent etc..and to reverse the bad effects of these harmful habits
dude im averaging like 100hrs of screentime or more every week.. it’s bad and I dont know how to help it since i do everything on my ipad.. even my hobbies like art.
I really liked this video. It did spook me alot though since there are some things here that I am familiar with. I usually give my brain a challenge through homework and daily education. School basically. And I keep my grades in check by making sure they dont go below the 80s. I used to not hydrate myself properly back during 6th and 7th grade but I hydrate myself a lot better now. I dont have chronic stress(i searched up what chronic stress is) so the third habit is something I dont have. Its hard to know for myself if im consuming too much salt or not, as I am skinny and need to gain weight as of right now. I also eat a variety of things when im hungry, from fruit to bread to candy. I will eat anything as a "snack". I dont usually multi-task. I usually take things my pace and sometimes work unfortunately slow, but I do ask questions a lot at school though. The ones I see are most familiar to me on this list are slouching and screen time 😬. I am aware now that I think about it that I DEFINITELY do not do at least 7 hours of screen time, it can be over 10 hours of screen time alot of the time. In and out of school. So thanks for letting me know about that habit. I do also slouch during school, of course because its boring as heck. I do still know that school is good for everyone and learning is a vital part of making money and living our lives. However slouching can be fixed primarily easily, so i can take care of that problem first and then move on to the next. Thank you for making this video. It made me learn a couple things today! 🙂
1.i love a good challenge but my challenge is different as a disabled person. I usually just research my hyper fixations 2. I don't get the signal to drink and always forget. maybe one day. 😂 3. I get stressed about not being stressed 4. I have low blood pressure and I find more salt gives me the energy I need to leave the house 5. multitasking can be a nice challenge to me and can make up little routines. 6. my phone is the best distraction to help me cope when I struggle so I can't change my use of that one 7. I always lay down because of fatigue. I am being assessed for HEDS because of muscle pain and so I can not sit up straight, lol
I have chronic stress since like middle schools. It's part of my life now. No matter how much I try to do stuff that I enjoy, challenge my brain, do self care, talk to my family... it goes on for few weeks but then I go back to my depressive/stressed state. It's so hard.
Mentally challengin yourself is a great way to be healthier if you can't do anything at home especially on empty summer days and during quarantine before
I got a dumbphone because I had a major smartphone addiction (mainly to TH-cam), and found out that most of what my smartphone could do, my laptop could do just as well. Ever since the transition, I've felt a myriad of benefits. I've felt significantly less depressed, I've been able to focus better, I've been more disciplined about almost everything... I'd list more benefits it's brought me, but I'm not one to write an entire essay in a TH-cam comment section. It's only been 3 months since the transition to my dumbphone and I don't miss my smartphone at all.
Basically, you have to work your brain muscles to keep it in shake, in the same way that the body would degrade from lack of physical activity. It applies to your emotions and spirit as well. Body, Mind, Heart, and Soul it all works the same way. For your soul, try some remote viewing. I got it right on my first time. You would be surprised. Everyone has psychic potential, but few people ever exercise it.
In my case stress and excessive screen-time I can't control much... I try exercise and Yin Yoga, and sometimes I can go full days without using my computer or phone. Then again I also suffer from chronic migraines, and usually I have to spend a certain amount of time at my desktop to deal with paperwork or talk with friends and relatives, as I move fairly often and rather far away... it varies a lot. I certainly don't spend it only social media platforms, besides, well, TH-cam and maybe Discord. That's about it. Usually I try to look for educational content as I don't have anything going on right now. Anytime my eyes feel tired I hydrate them and take a break to stretch, drink water, get a snack, maybe some fruit, and go pet my cat.
Great video. As a computer scientist who also loves games and films it's really difficult to reduce screen time. I just have too many things I really really want to do, which are on a screen.
Now heres the thing, as someone who is suffering from anxiety and depression, phones can actually help us escape from reality and take a break from life by talking to our online friends, watching videos all day just having fun and such. Ive noticed myself drastically increasing my own screen time by further everyday rather than myself before who was still not suffering both and rn basically i live with my phone all day lol
Im good with 6 out of 7 of these bad habits. I have been guilty of too much screen time since i was a kid. But you know what, im not gonna out stress on myself for that. Its my comfort zone, i do other things with my life, i eat right and exercise on a regular basis, so im good on that.
The chronic stress problem, is not always easy to solve (like any of them are) Not if you have chronic overproduction of cortisol, and just talking to your BFF causes tress to be released in the body But I think I'm getting the hang of life, so to speak

So if I’m understanding this correctly, a considerable number of people who have computer/tech-related jobs are likely killing their brains at a faster rate because:
- work on computer/phone usually leads to poor posture
- work usually follows them home, results in more stress
-> few breaks in work = little time to make time for self-care
- work & stress (possibly relax time too) = more screen time
- salty snacks and caffeine drinks = dehydration
This is a worrying cycle, considering these all can feed into each other so easily. Also leads to a collection of muscular stresses within the body.
Don't forget the part where most jobs require you to be multitasking at all times, specially if your main tool is a computer
Stay safe everyone
You too!

Exactly my thoughts
Dude the more I read the more confused I get 😅
1: not giving it a challenge 💪🏻
2: not hydrating 💦
3:not addressing chronic stress😓
4: consuming too much salt 🧂
5: multitasking 😮💨
6: too much screen time 👩💻
7: slouching or poor posture
❤❤
1 is soooooo true !
damn 6 out of 7. University is not making me any favors...
Not giving it a challenge 😏
I feel like this videos has just called me out on my everyday habits, and I like that.
CLUTCH
Yep agree
Very well said. In the end, technology is just a tool, a means to an end, and how we utilize it is the most important factor. At the same time, with the rise of complex algorithms whose sole purpose is to attract people to their apps, it is becoming increasingly difficult to use technology in a healthy manner.

I don't think most of us are drinking more water than you need but yes
Thanks so much! Please never stop making videos, keep it up!

ive had a bad posture for a long time, some other stuff were the issue as well but one thing a physiotherapist once said really struck with me and i think its one of the best things a doctor told be about : your posture is A LOT affected by how you feel.
so if you are sad depressed loneley etc you will hunche over , make yourself smaller, leave your shoulders hanging etc. feeling happieness, pride, n other happy emotions changes it completely to a confident upright good posture
another top 1 sentence was : your best sitting position/ posture is the NEXT one - meaning that even having a good upright posture can be BAD if you maintain it for too long. the human body is designed to move and not stay still the whole time. give them muscles a good stretch adn keep changing your positions (well maybe not hunche over completely for too long since that puts a LOOOOOT pressure on your spine)

Thank you Psych2go for helping address how some subtle everyday activities or habits can be unhealthy to our brain and mental health, I will definitely take your advice to heart.

About multi-tasking idk with anybody has it but, I got a big addiction on it, this is another motivator to stop it, thanks

Well, you can try RPT, or classical family constellation by Hellinger. That would do.
I’ve been a lot of excessive screen time throughout my life and I’m about to be a senior in highschool and I don’t want my life to distraught itself and making sure that I’m taking care of I’ve been drawing (that’s my favorite activity and exercise)I love those 2 things and it really helps me out.
Can you undo a decrease as well? It’d be interesting to know how flexible the brain is in general.
leave it to the psycho-neurology study scientists; for now you can stop the harmful habits, and do well with healthy habits, despite your curiosity remaining potentially forever unfulfilled; do not experiment on yourself outside of proven self improvement practices you have access to.
@@kineko7823 "Is it forbidden to ask interested questions? " how in the world you took that from my comment ?! wow!! i feel like i triggered something.. pretty much as if you were really planning on "experimenting".. in which case consider i re-posted same comment.
in case you're here to really accept answers for that kind of question, then here: some damage is not reversible.
@@Dm3qXY So much about your vivid interpretation. Sorry man, but it’s not possible to talk to you without you getting too emotional or attacking. I only engange in respectful discussions.
@@kineko7823 yep, that's my point, you see it as an attack, when all i did was giving an overly cautious recommendation about not experimenting on yourself (because some damage is not reversible).. and now, because i didn't encourage you giving yourself damage in the name of curiosity, i am the one seemingly "attacking" you.
lemme reformulate again:
"Can you undo a decrease as well?" - if it was from dehydration, volume wise, yes; but that doesn't say anything about the structural changes;
"It’d be interesting to know how flexible the brain is in general" - yes, it is interesting knowing stuff in general, not by experimenting on self.

I usually just research my hyper fixations
2. I don't get the signal to drink and always forget. maybe one day. 😂
3. I get stressed about not being stressed
4. I have low blood pressure and I find more salt gives me the energy I need to leave the house
5. multitasking can be a nice challenge to me and can make up little routines.
6. my phone is the best distraction to help me cope when I struggle so I can't change my use of that one
7. I always lay down because of fatigue. I am being assessed for HEDS because of muscle pain and so I can not sit up straight, lol
Mine is too much screen time
The last advice is hit me so hard, I always slouch whenever I sit down. Well, I think it's time for repairing myself a lot( include dehydrated)

I have chronic stress since like middle schools. It's part of my life now. No matter how much I try to do stuff that I enjoy, challenge my brain, do self care, talk to my family... it goes on for few weeks but then I go back to my depressive/stressed state. It's so hard.
Mentally challengin yourself is a great way to be healthier if you can't do anything at home especially on empty summer days and during quarantine before
Thank you for the trips, I'll try my hardest to follow them!
Very helpful, good reminders, thanks! ❤
Thanks for the video ive got proplembs with sleep and focus
Thank you for another good, interesting and helpful video.‼️‼️‼️ 🌷
I had a hard time watching this videos again and again just to remind myself what I need to do to help my brain.
Man my brain has been through a lot.
I have depression and anxiety, I have so much work nowadays, and I still have to help my family.
I trust what you say, you helped me and others before and your still a big help to me till now ❤
Im good with 6 out of 7 of these bad habits. I have been guilty of too much screen time since i was a kid. But you know what, im not gonna out stress on myself for that. Its my comfort zone, i do other things with my life, i eat right and exercise on a regular basis, so im good on that.
The chronic stress problem, is not always easy to solve (like any of them are)
Not if you have chronic overproduction of cortisol, and just talking to your BFF causes tress to be released in the body
But I think I'm getting the hang of life, so to speak
