  • New LYKKE Color Knitting needles - an HONEST review
    www.crazyforew...
    It seems that every year LYKKE comes out with a set of needles that more fun than the last. There was the driftwood, the indigo, then my favorite Blush, then Copper and so forth. This year, they've really gone for the playful with their new COLOR set.
    In this review of the LYKKE set, we'll look at the tips, the joins, the cables, the case, eveything to do with the Lykke color set.
    What makes the Lykke color set special? Each of the knitting needle tips is a different beautiful pastel shade. I love this, actually, because it helps me see at a glance what size a needles tip is. i don't have to put it in my gauge - I can just tell at a glance what's what - I would never accidentally pick up the wrong one.

    I have been looking for reviews on this set I bought the blue color both the long and short needles and was unhappy with the yarn catching I am a loose knitter but with your review and the swivel that I did not know it had I have notice that my cables dont get bets our of shape like with the other circular needles. This is my first set of interchangeables and I am loving the flexibility. Thank you for the thorough and informative review.

    I just got a set of these for Christmas, they're my very first circular needles EVER since I learned on straight needles only from my grandmother. They have absolutely changed my knitting and got me to break out of my comfort zone with bigger (for me, more useful) projects. I've even been trying new patterns that I usually wouldn't have tried since it's easier to see what I'm doing without everything squished onto a straight needle. They're exactly the right texture for me (not as slippery as metal, not as rough as my bamboo needles) and I can easily switch between projects with them. Obv I could go on and on with these, but at the end of the day I would say anyone on the fence should ABSOLUTELY buy these. They're much more cost effective than just buying a bunch of decent straight wooden needles.
    TLDR: Buy these needles, buy these needles, buy these needles.

    I am happy to find this video because I have ordered a Lykke 3.5" Interchangeable Needle Set for the first time and glad to see what it looks like. I only have one circular needle for making a beanie and the Addi Brass Lace Tip Circular is not my favourite.

    • @CrazyForEwe
      @CrazyForEwe  ปีที่แล้ว

      The Addi brass lace gets tarnished abd sticky, doesn’t it. I do like those lace tips, which are the same tips they have on the Rockets and the Rockets squares.

      But you can polish them and they’ll be smooth and lovely again

    I love the bamboo needles, how do these compare as to point and slickness?

    • @CrazyForEwe
      @CrazyForEwe  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are much much smoother than bamboo.

    • @missingaria2503
      @missingaria2503 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Can confirm, much smoother than my bamboo needles and I'm currently knitting with fairly rough yarn (with metallic thread running through) so if they were gonna snag this yarn would definitely do it. I'd never have used this yarn with my bamboo needles.

    I have found that the swivel isn't worth the snag on any needle. User beware!

      Yeah. I’m not a fan either
