I like your knitting needle. I really like the decorative element on the end. Where is it from?
That is a Brittany birch knitting needle in size 17
Thank you for all your information which was so thoroughly explained.
do you keep doing this for the entire thing? I’m new 😂
Yes! Here’s a link to the full video th-cam.com/video/ZriEJAX_ijs/w-d-xo.htmlsi=u8VcjNiB0L1Qo7Lk
What happens on the purl side?
You just purl into the strand that’s over the needle 😀
I stopped watching, because you aren’t in focus on my screen and your lips aren’t matching words.
That vest is a schlumpy mess on that model.
I love Beatrix.
How does it work? Where do we find it? How much does it cost?
The balls unscrew from the ends. You can use it as a stitch holder, a cable needle, or a shawl pin !! www.crazyforewe.com/collections/knitting-jewelry/products/stitch-holder-brooches-set-of-2
Thanks
t tr Treebreeze I just knitted it from the book nlock by block book😊😊
Thank you so much cause I think I just did it
These are just fabulous! Love them both!❤
Oh wow! Love we’re getting the mohair too! That’s special! Thank you!
I think Noro is absolutely outstanding. Probably my very favorite,
I don’t believe for a minute Noro would take shortcuts anywhere. It really is top quality.
It’s ok we don’t mind waiting
I feel so bad for you with that camera😢
Hi everyone ❤
Thank you sou much
I’m so glad it was helpful!
❤
Thanks Ginni! Every video I've seen says the threader is the cutter. Once you find the cutter, you know the threader is not the cutter, lol.
Right?!? This is Ellen-I was so confused! 🤣🤣🤣
This is so hard!!!! Can you please help me?!
Um when I tried to knit a stitch it became hard! Can you please help me?
When I tried to do it in real life it was hard!❤
Did you get it?
@ no! When I tried to do the same I kept messing up!
@ how can I help? What part is confusing you?
@ the part when you cast on, that part is so confusing!
Hello?
I am in the UK and I have never been taught to do seams with the right sides of work facing you
And what do you think? Do you like it?
The red shawl is very pretty!
Thanks 👍
It’s one of my favorite blends, of my two favorite fibers: Alpaca & Bluefaced Leicester 70-30. I dye yarns and Chester Wool Company makes a sport weight Alpaca & Merino 50/50, and I get bulk amounts of this sock weight, 4 ply blend of Baby Alpaca & Fine Merino- the merino gives alpaca the bounce and snap-back. LoL I love any alpaca/wool 50/50 blend
It is a lovely combination, isn’t it!
THANK YOU!!!
I want to be part of a knit along or watch the videos- I have completed the neck!
Have you done a video of knitting this pattern? I just finished the neck, but can’t figure out reading the pattern. If anyone did a video so I can follow along- please let me know!
I agree the lace pattern but with plain sleeves. I think it will look very nice.
This is gorgeous! How do you get the pattern to do this? I love the 3 needle bind off to connect the pieces ❤
It’s a free pattern on Ravelry , plus it will come in your magazine
Oh ok and I also see you only have one of the red color way. That’s the one I’d want. Can you duplicate the kit if that one sells? I love this!
Ellen, what a lovely visit from Nicky, and inspirational (I cant say podcast, because it's much more). New to knitting, I'm also a new grandma and looking for baby knits (easy). Not sure I can knit Barbie things right now, but would love to try.
Thank you so much!! I appreciate your kind words and you taking the time to comment. I’m sure you can knit Barbie clothes if you like! No harder than anything else 😀 one stitch at a time. Please share my channel with your friends ❤️
I am so going to do a swatch! I wish i can see the KAL, the links are all dead now 😢
I wish I could see the links!
You are an angel❤ thank youu for this video!
Very nice❤
Very pretty, i agree with her pattern intimidation 😂
I get it! Stranded is not my go to technique, I just have to keep telling myself -Just one stitch at a time.
I like a lot how they show the models and listen the opinions. I like because you show the fit on a normal person vs the model in the magazine.
I’m so glad you enjoy this kind of presentation! Thank you for taking the time to comment
Best description of this method of casting on! Thank you
I’m so happy it helped!!!
lol -- ellen , " you don't have to come over while you are naked " Thanks ladies !!
This is a G rated channel 🤣🤣🤣
Loved this episode, so interesting how different garments look on different models.
For the flounce, are the shoulders supposed to line up on the shoulder or hang down a bit like it did on Monica?
@@carolostrye460 they are supposed to sit on your shoulders. We would probably want to adjust that.
I absolutely love these episodes as it is so surprising how different each item looks on each of your colleagues. But why is it that whichever sweater I have chosen to make is never in the trunk show!
Thank you! I don’t know how they decide which garments will be in the trunk show. That would be interesting-I’ll have to ask. Which sweater are you knitting?
From Rowan Magazine number 76 the slipover (vest) Bridge. Using colours and yarn as specified and absolutely loving it.
Love Noro, made a sweater for my daughter using Kureyon. Question: Is Noro Kureyon considered DK weight or worsted? The skein label is not specific. Thanks!
Kureyon is heavy worsted.
what does on foll mean when knitting
It means “following” for example your pattern might say increase on next and every foll RS row” Which would mean “increase on next and every following right side row”
I’m so sorry but I’m happy to hear that my teacher actually does these things as well! I love you Ellen ❤
We all make mistakes, my dear, no matter how long we’ve been doing a thing ❤️
Great, great great video. You clarified so much for me. Thank you!
You are so welcome!! I’m delighted it helped you!!!
Great video! I made the green leaf Lacey one a few years ago ( I think it’s an old pattern) and I had the same problem with the sleeves ( I was gutted and couldn’t understand what I had done wrong ). Feel better knowing it wasn’t just me now 😂😮
Thank you! Yes, you’re right, they did that same pattern in a different Yarn several years ago. Do you think you would take it apart now and fix the sleeve? Or are you just gonna leave it as it is? Definitely an issue. I’m so sorry you struggled with that.
I love the wrap jacket, the lace sweater with modifications, then the v neck sweater. My least are the bobble sweater and the dark brown sweater. Thanks for sharing. 🧶
