- You all asked and I listened! You told me my previous MetaMask tutorial was too fast and too confusing so I made a new one! This one is twice as long but I walk you through click-by-click every step of the way. I show you how to create a new Ethereum account, how to see your address on Etherscan, how to find your private key/seed phrase, how to import an existing account using JSON file, how to find your address that can receive Ether/ERC20 tokens, how to add custom ERC20 tokens, how to send Ether, how to change gas limit/price, how to view transaction status on Etherscan, how to connect with MyEtherWallet to send tokens elsewhere, and much more! Let me know if any part of this tutorial was unclear? I aimed to make this much more clear than last time so I hope this helps someone!

Watched your previous video and this one, looks like a good feature, I now know how to use it, but don't know "why" I should use it. Watched other videos from other guys and see the practical and secure reason for using metamask, since your private keys stay on your computer and don't have to be copied and pasted into "MyEtherWallet" or makes using "etherdelta" save and easy.

Yes. This one was clearer. Need to use the address from Etherscan rather than MetaMask. Coinbase didn't recognize the shorter address.
Yep, you can also click the drop down and press "Copy Address"

How can you tell if your wallet is actually MEW or on Metamask? I am confused by the roles of these 2. Is Metamask an interface to MEW or is Metamask a wallet on its own??? I use Metamask with MEW but not sure if I'm actually using MEW (for ICO funding purposes).

Great video man, very clear. I have a question though, wouldn't storing the MEW JSON file on an offline memory stick be safer than having it on meta mask? It seems that when you import MEW to metamask it stores the JSON file on your PC. Someone would still need to get a hold of your machine and then figure out your password to gain access, but, I feel like having the JSON file offline and interacting with MEW is more secure? Thanks.

I have also a MetaMask-Wallet but didn't used it until now. But to one ICO i copied my metamask-adress and know i'm unsure that i will get my ERC20 Coins there..
On 6:28 you showed your "Token Tracker" : "View Tokens", but i don't have that option on my etherscan! Maybe because i didn't recieved any ERC20 Tokens until now and the option "View Tokens" will appear when i get a ERC20-Token at the first time?
Or do i have to do something to see this option?

Thanks for the info - can you consider doing a episode covering this - You have a gdax account - you use MEW also - you purchase alt coins on another exchange - how do you protect or add a layer of security of that newly purchased alt coins if you want it available on that site or instant trade or do you simply buy alt coins on an available exchange withdrawn to your mew or gdax (safer wallet) & when you want to sell at your desired price you deposit again to that alt coin exchange?
1 more question about gas prices, I understand they expedite the transfer but does this effect the price you purchase something with or just this is about the transfer rate? IF I want to be cheap & can weight for a long transfer could I pay less & Still LOCK IN the price of the crypto I want to but at that price? Does the gas time effect the purchase price of the desired crypto?

After watching your video a couple of times I finally got my Cindicator bot up and running. Now just to confirm. While my cindicator is sitting in my metamask, it's safe? So I could send my ether and any other tokens from the platform to this wallet? Or can it be any tokens or coins?

1 Last question. If I participate in a ICO and I received my tokens on MEW but want to send them to a exchange to 'flip' them. How do I do that? Just like what you did in the last part of the video? Send the ERC20 tokens to a new adres, for example (kucoin address).
Still a bit confused how I do that.. I have some ICO coins but they are not yet on an exchange, so I want to know what I have to do when the ICO is going to the exchange.

I have created keys using MEW.if I import the private key to Metamask ,will I be able to still use MEW normally with the same private key?Basically I would access using both MEW and Metamask as well?
Looking for some advice. I bought ENJ coins back in the ICO over a year ago. I have them stored on metamask. I have a Nano Ledger S, Kracken, Atomic wallets. Just wondering how do I withdraw from metamask to any of these wallets or so I need another wallet?
Thank you for this! I have a question though: Let's say I create a new wallet on myetherwallet (i choose a password, create it, get a private key). Then, I download the MetaMask extension and create a password there. Now - I could import my myetherwallet account that I had created prior to Metamask, but if the myetherwallet account is empty (as it is new) and I am planning to use only one account anyways, is it even worth adding it to MetaMask? Or is there no difference? Does the private key from the myetherwallet account add any extra protection here, or does it all depend on the MetaMask password, once I'm working with MetaMask? how do you deposit? if you have multiple erc20 tokens, can they all be deposited to the same address

When I go to send some eos from mew to my ledger nano s when I check ether scan transaction failed and says (out of gas). Why is that? How do I get more gas?

Hi there, great video. But one question... in this example video is your main account that was holding your APPC tokens a MyEtherWallet address? If so had you already previously connected MetaMask to your MyEtherWallet account? If you had, did you simply do that by importing your MyEtherWallet account using the 'import account's option in MetaMask? Just trying to get my head around it. Many thanks :-)

Could someone explain the difference between the gas limit first filled in in MEW and then in Metamask? they're different numbers and I don't know what the difference is. And what would be a good price to fill in in Metmask to get through an ICO ?

you mean move your metamask from one computer to the other? You should just be able to export your private key or JSON file, download metamask on another computer, and then use the import key/json tool to set it up

Hi, I have linked Metamask to myetherwallet. Now, when Im trying to import my ETH from myetherwallet to etherdelta, it is saying invalid primary key, thoughI have checked, the primary key is correct. Why is this hapenning? Also, do i need to import my ETH from myetherwallet to etherdelta to buy tokens or I can directly use metamask to get my ETH?

Probably a stupid question, but when sending a token from MEW to an exchange, you want to send to an address specific to that token, not an Ether address, correct?
