      same. suddenly he went to shapeshift...what is that? i appreciate the no music and peaceful learning environment...but what i am finding is teachers and companies assume we know more than we do. like their abbreviated version of saying 'ether"...to mean ether coins...so confusing.

    Hi mate,Enjoying the channel good job.Just a question regarding the myetherwallet. I can log on when I’m connected to my ledger wallet. But when I for instance try to log onto my account when not connected to my ledger wallet(login by entering the public key) I can’t see or access my tokens?Also is it possible to reset your link with the ledger wallet and start fresh with public key and everything, once you’ve transferred your tokens out?Thanks in advance

    Hi ! Im just wandering, if you try to transfer a token, like Naga for example, from the exchange to your Ether Wallet and that coin is not listed in the token list. Do you have to add it before sending it. Do we have to send all ERC20 tokens to just a simple Etherum adress ? Or we have to send Naga token to a Naga adress ?

    How do you use this offline? If I tell my wallet to send coins to binance, how does it do it, if it is off line? If I send coins from,my exchange to my wallet how does it do it if it is not on line. Please explain when I need to use The
    online part to send and receive.
    Also I can find how to download this to my computer I can only run it on line. But it did down load some extension onto my Google chrome... What does that do.

      You can't create any transactions while offline, but transactions can be sent to your wallet while you're offline. You'll see the funds when you get back online and sync to the blockchain.

    so if I print the paper wallet do I even need to save the json file that myetherwallet mandates me to download? why would I need that file? I mean, my paper wallet will include both my public and private keys so I assume it should be enough and I can delete my downloaded json file right away. is this correct in the case of using a paper wallet?

      Found this straight from MEW knowledge base: Home › Private Keys & Passwords › Differences between wallet types (e.g. private key vs keystore)
      Private Key (unencrypted)
      This is the unencrypted text version of your private key, meaning no password is necessary.
      If someone were to find your unencrypted private key, they could access your wallet without a password.

    If I missed getting my secret key while setting up my ledger with MEW, how do I set up a new wallet and transfer my ether to it and then delete my old wallet and reassign my Ledger to the newly set up wallet? I want to do this because now I understand how important that is. When setting up my Ledger with MEW I did not get the whole thing about JSON and keeping a copy right then of that key and file. I feel kind of stupid but I know now. Can you do a tutorial on that process? I'd hate to screw it up again.

    Can we get a clearer explanation of what a keystore file is? I've downloaded it, but its not in a format that is readily recognizable by my computer. I open it with notepad and see info. When I click on EtherScan I can find it under Token Transfer but that isnt the storage site, just the tracker. Where can I find the AION on MyEtherWallet. As important, how can I transfer it out of there for trading purposes? Thanks!

    • @cryptobliss924
      @cryptobliss924 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Sailor, i've used it as well. The fees are deceptive. Coinspot charges between 12-20% in fees. They hide it in the foreign exchange conversion. You can see this by taking the BTC USD price and looking at the FX rate of AUD/USD and working out what you should have received. They are making a killing. When RobinHood opens in Australia go to them.

    Why do you have to have a MyEtherWallet when I have a Trezor or a Ledger? Why can't I just use the Trezor or Ledger. Now, I have to download another app to interface with my Trezor or Ledger. Please explain why are these 3rd party companies creating these wallets instead of just dealing with Trezor or Ledger?

    • @MusicWorld-zy6dl
      @MusicWorld-zy6dl ปีที่แล้ว

      I think its just another way of safekeeping your coins. Similarly why have 2 hardware wallets Ledger and Trezor, made by different companies? Why not just Trezor? Why have Ledger when we already have Trezor?Moreover, MEW is free whereas L and T are expensive! Hope this helps.
