  • What's a day in the life of a construction manager like? Luke Simmons of Beam Construction walks us through it. Construction managers work on every aspect of a construction project. Sometimes they manage workers, but sometimes they do the dirty work themselves.

Love this...we report the news and information surround the building trades industry that the mainstream media does not always pick up to give those building our communities a voice all over the US. I like how the presenter explains the process!

    Hi sir,
finally I'm writing my thoughts down here. Your channel has really inspired me. I spent a whole day going through your videos when I was preparing interviews for a site engineer role abroad, I'm soooo excited about this role. Even though it is true, I didn't realise how much this industry is worldwide saturated more importantly, how this has an effect on the everyday life of Indian engineers I grew up in India and 7 years before completed my B.TECH(CIVIL- ENGINEERING) and now I am doing normal civil engineer job in india !! This is so embraced and I feel this is a headache I still can't move abroad
I am trying it. I want to encourage Indian engineering students, especially those from the Indian community and with lack of English barrier and also it being their second language, to follow their dreams to become an engineer in Abroad.
Only one chance to give me I will perform definitely

If you want to be a construction manager you need a bachelors degree in construction management or construction science. You probably would also need a little bit of experience working in construction but idk.

Construction management is a way to get to be a PM. If you want to move up faster then a civil engineering degree can help as youll eventually become a PE and be able to stamp off on plans etc.

See if you have a program near you that does associates or applied associates degrees. It’s only a 2 year degree that goes over most of the material and it’s cheaper than doing all four years. I hear the experience is ultimately the most important thing in construction so I would suggest getting an associates for now and get that field experience and finish a bachelors at your own pace.
