Mate, amazing video as always,I was thinking maybe if you can provide us with a detailed video series on a real world structure design project, it will be very insightful for us
i am enrolling inti civil engineering programs in college. I am very excited to be a civil engineer. It sounds interesting. Its my first time seeing a video of day in the life of a civil engineer.
Love your content! I have an iPad pro, which I use extensively in my personal and professional life. I would love to see how you use your iPad for work.
Brilliant video, would you perhaps be able to rope in any one of your potential mechanical Engineering friends? I’m studing mechanical engineering and would love to see how that looks By the way I took your advice regarding note taking and the learning process, great work man🙇♂️
amazing video mate. love your content. just a question: what sort of software do you use for your designs (especially modelling) and analysis and what other good ones would you recommend to a fellow structural engineer? (i've started using SAP2000 btw) :)
Hi great video! I have a question for when getting a job as a fresh graduate structural engineer. Does the company train you on how to carry out calculations and designs through the software?
Thanks! You definitely will get some guidance but you will still need to spend a lot of time figuring things out yourself. Textbooks and any other sort of guiding resource will be your best friend
Hey could you explain what part of design proces you do in software and what part you do hand calculations. In Europe a lot of engineers do almost everything in design software
Anything that I can do quickly do by hand, I do by hand. For example this could be loading calculations, simple shear force or bending moment equation calcs or even just notes about design assumptions I’ve made along the way. Any design tasks that are more complex, I will use software to do, but where I can avoid it I will. Sometimes using software can eat up way more time than just doing a quick hand calc so I find it’s more efficient to know how to do quick things by hand.
Hello , Saw your video felt so good and motivative, i was wondering if you can give me advice . currently 2nd year civil engineering and i am passioned for structural engineering. i have completed my steel design course at college so i need any video or course that can guide me for engineering concrete design course. please suggest me i live in ontario, canada

Wow! thanks for your continued support :)
Seems like the right mix between intellectually challenging and chill office job if that makes sense
I am a civil engineering student , thankyou for motivating me , kindly make videos on how to come up with structural designs
Im going to school for civil engineering this year. Excited
Good luck!
