Question -- you didn't mention anything about the reflectivity of the screen. Is it super shiney and reflects everything nearby or anti-reflective (matte) so you're not constantly seeing your own hands/face etc.

This device would be able to support how many external monitors through a thunderbolt docker? I would like to use 3 monitors!
I heard that using a docker to split video makes it a little more efficient and maybe possible, is that accurate? Tks!

I just wish Lenovo starts using the higher end AMD Zen 3+ with RDNA 2 and Zen 4 with RDNA 3 iGPU on their higher end Ultrabooks which will give it similar or better CPU performance than P series Intel Processors while consuming less power and far superior integrated Graphics performance. As of now, Lenovo only has used 6000U/HS series Processors in their budget IdeaPad 5 Pro and Slim 7 series and in very limited numbers. Zen 4 based 7040HS APUs can very well fit in these kind of chassis, while providing better thermal, better performance at the wattage these laptops can handle and far superior integrated Graphics.

Higher resolution will always be more appreciated due to higher Pixel Per Inch (PPI), a UHD on a 14-inch laptop is as crisp as a Retina Display, it makes no sense for you to say that it doesn't make sense, buying my first MacBook Air has made me realize that resolution does matters hugely when it comes to visual clarity wether you are working or content-consuming.
At first, I thought the same thing too.... but when I compared it side-to-side to my 1080p 240hz Asus ROG monitor and now I have been using my laptop more than I use my computer aside from gaming.

Hi. I haven't shopped for a laptop in feels like ages. I'm in need of a new one, and my sister's going to get whatever laptop I want. May I ask what the face recognition and fingerprint is for? Is it like the face recognition on the IPhone? I'm someone that enjoys putting in my password or PIN to get into my computer, so I'm wondering if the new laptops have changed that? I have an outdated really old Lenova Yoga 11th edition, so I don't know anything about the new laptops. Pretty much I'm looking for something I can use photoshop for creating templates as I'm my sister's personal assistant and we create yard signs for people (graduation etc). I need something that will run it smoothly, but I'd also like something that's decently fast and can run games like Sims 4 that I currently run on my 10 year old desktop that will soon be getting replaced with one of my sister's iMacs. Any suggestions would be great!

I have a 14in 7i which shares a lot of the design elements of the 9i, but with U-series processors instead of P-series, and a less impressive speaker array (but still pretty good as it has 4 drivers). It is an incredibly well built machine with a beautiful display and definitely worth looking into if the price of the 9i is a bit much to swallow.

Was looking at a nice 2-in-1 for school/art hobbies and after looking at all the recent prices I completely agree. Just got the yoga 7i 16" i5-1240P + 16gb DDR5 on sale for around $1150 CDN and I can say I'm extremely excited to get it delivered in about a week :). If the sale is still on I would definitely recommend the 7i over the 9i right now as you will most likely get the same, if not better specs(depends on your price range and deals) for a better price at the cost of the slightly better 9i screen and sound.

Hello, about a week ago I bought the Lenovo Yoga 9i gen 8 4K. And since I opened it, I have used it for basic purposes such as surfing the Internet and watching movies. But the problem I encountered is the battery, the full battery life on my computer is four hours with absolutely basic use. I checked online and according to tests that people have done, the battery should last 9.5-11 hours of work, which is very far from what happens on my computer. I contacted Lenovo's technical support and after a thorough examination they said that the battery is perfectly fine and there is no problem but it still feels very strange to me. If I wanted a computer most of the time I need to be connected to electricity, I would have already bought a stationary computer and not a laptop... I would appreciate your help, thanks.

If Lenovo figures out how to scale this to say 16 inch screen size and a bit beefier chassis & specs (Like low variants of i5/i7 + RTX 4050 for entry level gaming), whilst keeping similar aesthetics, we might have a genuine Asus ROG Flow X16 competitor. Lenovo used to make 15" Yogas back around 2015 when they first launched the convertible concept but the idea was eventually scrapped due to declining sales.
Another thing is for a big device with 16" touchscreen to have any decent battery, it absolutely needs a 15W U-CPU chip. They can go with 12700H + 4050 + 120Hz OLED sure but it will last 3h on charge and Yoga 9 is Lenovo's most premium range that promises at least 9h of battery life for all of their devices. So any H-CPU chip is a no-go which makes it a dealbreaker for power users who need CPU performance. That makes it an extreme niche product with very high development cost and not enought demand to make profit.

I'll be honest the Yoga for me was way heavy, also the round edge made it hard to pick up on flat surfaces, it also reminded me of the iphone 11 corners but just giant. The one thing i do not like about the new dell i got is how sharp it is by the edge. 1st world problems.

I have the 12th gen, while this laptop is beautifully made and feels sturdy and very functional and likeable to use, some things are just so annoying about it:
The pen is fast in some window apps and so laggy in others, I also had issue disconnecting the pen so it was replaced by Lenovo after a month. Definitely the rubbery feeling of the pen goes away once the pen and screen gets dirty it becomes more natural.
My keyboard would double type space and some other keys, I thought it's due to the layout but I had to send it for repair as it seemed it could be the motherboard since it would choose random keys to do that.
When I put the keyboard backlit setting to my preferred one, it resets without saving it for next time.
The power modes only let you do balanced, which I didn't manage to put other modes through command but it seems like might limit some functionality when tweaking for the fan.
The fan is mostly fine or off but I found if I reduced cpu to 91% instead of 100 it will shut the fan 90% of the time with no speed loss, so really not sure why they didn't optimize the power delivery.
Even though sent the laptop for repair after 2 months I can't seem to see a more beautiful laptop on the market I hope mine was just a bad apple.

I'm thinking about getting this or the Galaxy Book 3 Pro 360. I'm kinda torn, this one seems a tiny bit more powerful, but I'm deep in the Samsung ecosystem, so the Book 3 seems a bit more desirable. I would mainly be using it for school and Photoshop/Lightroom, and maybe a tiny bit of Minecraft, so nothing too too heavy. I think the Book 3 makes the most sense, but I'm still not a 100 percent sure

I swore off Lenovo some years ago. Nearly every laptop I had ever owned died too early. I must thank them, as that, along with W8, pushed me to Macs, and that is where I remain. The reality is that the best ultrabooks are made by Apple, full stop. Unless you need the convertible take, then buy a MacBook; but even then, a MacBook and a tablet would serve you better.

Yes but Apples are way more expensive (just for the hardware alone), not even including MS Office suite (because nobody uses apple’s products) and they aren’t touch screen! I like apple, but they simply cost too!

So i was choosing between this and a Dell XPS Plus 13inch. I went with the DELL. I'll be honest the Yoga for me was way heavy, also the round edge made it hard to pick up on flat surfaces, it also reminded me of the iphone 11 corners but just giant. The one thing i do not like about the new dell i got is how sharp it is by the edge. 1st world problems.
