  • Here is my Lenovo Yoga 9i Review, still one of the best 2-in-1 laptops! This is the 2023 model featuring the latest Intel i7-1360P processor, with 16GB of DDR5 memory and a 2K OLED display. The Yoga 9i still has the same design as last year but has a few improvements under the hood.

    Thanks for the review! I'm looking into a brand new Yoga and I do like extra storage, because I like to create music videos but I also put all that I can of music that I like plus I'm the assistant for my sister's Photography business, so I have to be able to create a lot of templates in photoshop. And I like what I see of being able to fold it into a tablet, because I've been wanting to get into some animation stuff for fun. I currently have the really old 11th Edition Yoga. I got it used and it did get injured once one of its hinges, and I'm very impressed that it still works like it always has. I actually didn't even know until I got it that it was a touchscreen, because I had never had a Yoga before. But mine is ready to retire to the point that it's not compatible with photoshop anymore, so my sister's going to get me whatever laptop I want by fall.

    i love this laptop, have had it for a couple month and got it for 350 dollars off at best buy for 1300. the screen being an oled panel, having a 1 tb ssd, and a core i7 makes it a great deal, even if it a p class intel processor. the 16 gb ram isnt a big deal for me because i mainly use it for work and personal use. its great for watch content.
    the only cons is the fans get a little loud even when on balanced performance and not doing intense stuff on the laptop but the laptop does run hot to quickly.
    and the battery isnt great but its better then what i thought it would be. given the devices thinness, the fact that it has an oled panel, and the battery size. im actually impressed that the battery last as long as it does. i get a good 5 hours if i just surf the web or am doing work and an extra hour if i go into battery saver mode. the lack of ports arent that big a deal, i just bought a dock but its annoying not having a memory card slot or an hdmi cable.

    Thanks for this review! I really like mine so far, however I'm having difficulty with the headphone port. I've tried three different headphones and none of them work on my laptop. Do you have any problems with yours?

    A usb c expansion dock is a must to use as desktop for hdmi usbs and extras. They are cheap, 10 or 15$ and adds lots of functionalities to this laptop

    What is the “danger zone” in regard to Celsius temperature when it comes to these 2-in-1 options? Is 97*c about normal, above normal, below normal temps for these type of devices? This would be my first 2-1 so I’m ignorant aha

    • @TechRoundUp
      @TechRoundUp  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They typically will hit the CPUs max temp and thermal throttle, dropping the clock speeds to lower temps from there on.

    • @moonstar-bp3kn
      @moonstar-bp3kn ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok then in this case that number would be 97*c alright alright. Thank you! I’m going through your reviews now lol

    Can this laptop be used for video editing in Da Vinci Resolve (max upto 2k resolution)? I will mostly use the laptop for college and video editing purposes. BTW I loved your video. Keep it up.

      Iris XE graphics I’d recommend something with at least a RTX 3050 DGPU, there’s stuff around this price

    I have been using this for nearly year. Nice screen, fast, normal keyboard. I love the sound of the speakers. Lack of card port, only one USB A, I dont understand why did they put so large and mechanical press touchpad. They broke the laptop with it. Very awkward and making some easy task very difficult.

      @@TechRoundUp Hi, I got it not long ago and wondering about a few things:
      1. does your unit also have a loose touchpad? feels and makes a rattling sound when slightly clicking even at the center?
      2. “The scrolling doesn’t look smooth even at 90 Hz. It’s better than 60 Hz but still doesn’t seem smooth. On the other hand, it looks smoother on my old laptops.
      Please help me out. I have to decide ASAP whether I’m sending it to a repair service or not in order to get DOA from Lenovo.
      BTW I love the laptop in the oatmeal color it looks like a piece of jewelry.

      @@PrabhablyAGoodTH-camr okay thanks, why does it seem like Lenovo has such few options on colors online?

    • @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber
      @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber ปีที่แล้ว

      @Gabriel Buatois yeah, there are only 2 colour options - Oatmeal and Storm Grey. I assume there are such few colour options because they have calculated that manufacturing more colour options is not worth it, as there could be a risk of an oversupply of laptops just sitting in warehouses, not being sold due to low demand

    • @gabrielbuatois6951
      @gabrielbuatois6951 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Cheeky Baboon any chance you know when they restock on colors? Right now they just have storm grey

    • @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber
      @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber ปีที่แล้ว

      @Gabriel Buatois no idea about restock info, sorry. I think it also matters what country you are in. I'm in Australia and I can see that both colour options are available for me (though the Oatmeal colour is slightly more expensive at $30AUD).

    • @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber
      @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber ปีที่แล้ว +2

      just the processor, it is 13th gen intel instead of 12th gen. And they removed the lower tier SKUs options from the customization such as i5 processor, 8GB RAM, and the HD display option. Otherwise everything else is the same, the design is same as last year

    • @LifeAsDane

      @Dino Lorenzo I only went 1360p version because it was $30 more open-box at best buy than the 1260p version. If more than $100 difference I wouldn't. But then again I have no idea what battery life difference is

    • @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber
      @PrabhablyAGoodYouTuber ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LifeAsDane hi, have you noticed a screen door effect on your OLED display? Basically a tiny dotted pattern on the screen. I ask because I bought the 12th gen model with OLED and saw it, and also read forum complaining about it and I returned it to get the LCD version - but for the 13th gen there is no LCD version, only OLED
