Thank you for showing the one finger open. I had to bounce through so many videos to confirm if it did that. When you have to hold the bottom case down to open a laptop lid it immediately gives it a lower quality feel. Thanks!
The display looks amazing!
Great video. Thank you. Are there any external monitors you recommend to use with it that are slow 100% P3?
Awesome video as always lon
Its almost perfect. Now lets make that RAM upgradeable!
I bought this laptop a month ago. Overall happy except the battery life. Another thing I noticed when I turn off the laptop it can turn on again by pressing buttons on the keyboard . Is there a setting to change to turn it on only from the power button on the side?
In the Device Manager find your keyboard driver, right-click and open Properties. Under that goto the Power Management tab and uncheck "Allow this device to wake the computer".
OMG - is that a touchpad or hidden display under that ?
I like this a lot! Seems very portable...
It's really light - feels about the same as a iPad Pro w/ keyboard case to me.
is the screen gorilla glass???
i really wish they would stop making laptops and tablets with soldered ram, at least provide an addon slot for upgradability, same goes for the battery that should be removable and replaceable, otherwise you end up with more ewaste.
finally a beautiful and powerful laptop from a PC manufacturer, If I didn't use Apple computer, I would buy this one.
The offset trackpad due to those extra keys on the right looks a rather poor design decision.
yeah, they should remove those extra side keys - or if they really want them, have them on the left side of the keyboard instead of right to have a centered typing experience. And also allow the user to program them to do different things instead of just "switching on dark mode" or "blurring the background" which most people do only once and forget about it
Track pad is really large though and feels great. I don't have any issues at all with it, larger than the iPad Pro w/ magic keyboard case and just as smooth for me.
Wish this had 32GB RAM!
400 nits in my opinion is very disappointing for OLED simply because it's capable of much better. Some OLED displays reach 1000 nits or higher, this one doesn't.
not really. No OLEDs exist that can actually produce 1000 nits. The ones that claim that they can, can only do so for a small section (3%) of the screen when it's white. Usually also only when the white-balance is far too blue. So the TVs / monitors that advertise this are basically lying when you compare it to IPS displays (which can light the whole screen at their rated nits without messing with white balance)
IMO 4K is overkill for laptop sized displays
The only thing I avoid when buying laptops are silver keys. They can be terribly difficult to see the writing on them in daylight. This laptop looks okay with gray keys but even at some angles the keys look washed out. Backlight's don't help either when trying to see white on silver.
Surface Books were infamous for this! Impossible to see the key text in normal lighting. Turning off the backlighting actually helped. Keycaps, IMHO, should always be dark colored or black for this reason. I would never have one with light colored keys.
I never touch a Lenovo computer, after they intentionally loaded spyware exploits onto their laptops years ago.
Literally the worst thing you can do. I'd rather you built the computer to fall apart than that.
They lost me until I am convinced they aren't still hiding things in deeper layers like the bios.
*edit* I say that but I just looked down and remembered my work laptop is infact Lenovo. But I had no say in that lol.
