I always like stories where people begin their career working under someone (when Jack emailed the Neistat brothers to work for free) and then work with them until everyone becomes successful. It's such an untraditional yet awesome way to achieve your goals and wanting to go to an industry that you are interested in while everyone else wanted you to do something practical. It shows initiative and i think that Jack shows this very well 🤘🏼

That’s it. Casey & the team were still trying to figure out how to move Beme forward when CNN bought them.
CNN didn’t even have a great idea.
They bought great people & tried to get Casey’s following without an idea on how to execute it
Casey and Matt got lucky. Acquired for ~25 million? with no legitimate intention of moving Beme forward? Good move tricking your investors! That's the dream of many startups these days...
hhh1200 They would have seen the writing on the wall and realised that Beme wouldn’t survive much longer but they both probably hoped that CNN buying the company would help it survive and possibly adapt. Ive no doubt that when Casey & Matt sold to CNN they understood Beme as they knew it was over but they would have hoped for it to continue

Jack i know youll never see this but here goes. I am in a totally different world, but when a tragedy struck me my career path changed entirely. I have adored you and the entire beme team and what you have done. Caseys vlog was a huge part of me dealing wirh my dads death, and visiting nyc has since been the only thing that has motivated me to get back into the world and do what i am good at. You know you kill it at what you do, i wish i could havr personal contact with creators like you so i could improve on that side of things but, absolute incredible good fortune and vibes to you man. Ill follow you every step of the way.

I wish we could all start life this way. My route to where I have landed has been long, arduous and a bit tragic, but I suppose that's what makes me all the more interesting. Still, I can't help daydreaming about an easier, but still dynamic, road.
