thanks for sharing. I was diagnosed with a grade 3 glioma brain cancer in november and hearing these stories makes me feel less alone. i’m so sorry about your father but thank you for being brave enough to share the story. it does help. as morbid as that is, It does help others to hear that we’re not so alone in the struggle.

Man I’m so sorry. Let me know if you want to talk about it some time. It’s a hard diagnosis but I’ve heard so many stories of people who’ve fought it back successfully and scientists are making incredible breakthroughs all the time. Good luck my friend, you’re not alone

Lost my dad just over a year ago now - it really put everything else into perspective. I know how it feels to want to direct that feeling into doing something creative and constructive - but some days you’ll feel super creative and motivated, other days you won’t want to do anything at all. So don’t put too much pressure on yourself. When you’re ready to create again, it’ll just happen. Wishing you all the best of lucky buddy.

My life has been up and down for the last 2 years. I started vlogging to get over depression and then met the girl of my dreams. My friends and I made a pilot and we were gonna pitch it to peoduction companies with this guy a friend of mine knew. My grandpa passed away in his sleep outta nowhere. He was a snowbird with my grandma but i lived in their house my entire life. After that it turned out the guy didnt really know anyone to pitch the pilot to and my grandma decided to sell my house. I decided to finally move to LA to chase my dreams of selling my shows and working in animation. My girlfriend decided to come with me. We left and drove across the country end of September and as soon as we got there i fell into a deep depression. For months i just sat around doing nothing wasting away. That December i asked my gf to marry me and she said yes. 3 months later the great work from home job i had for 3 years called me up out of nowhere and laid me off. I spent the next 4 months trying to find work and could only get uber eats. I sold everything i owned to pay for rent and help with food. That april my brothers best friend succumbed to his years long battle with leukemia and i had no way of getting home to be there for him. Immediately after i found out my uncles health is failing and his kidneys are shutting down. We finally made the decision to move back home to ny because we couldnt afford it and no one not even mcdonalds would hire me. We came home to live above her mothers house in a tiny 1 room apartment where we sleep on a bed on the floor. I get a job serving food at buffalo wild wings down the block and a few weeks in learn my dad who lives in florida has stage 3 prostate cancer. My job wouldnt allow me to take off to see him because of football season so i quit. At the same time my old job asked me to work for them for the season until december 19th. After that we drove down to florida to see my family for the holidays. I came home and couldnt find work. My uncle needs to be put on dialysis and my dad finished his radiation treatment on valentines day. But then my car died. Life sucks. Its up and down constantly. Its what you do with the time you have and how you spend it with the people you love. Im so sorry to hear about your dad. I remember when you got fired and went on your journey to do youtube. Good luck man. Keep your head up and push forward.
