Hello, I found myself in this position a few months ago. I would suggest you do the following three things: 1) Seek out 2-3 people who know you well (either friends or family) and run through what you are actually good at - 100% there are things you believe everyone can just 'do', which they cannot. Use this to formulate a new CV and a new criteria for a job hunt - apply for jobs you have the skills for and the capacity for, even if the roles are menial or low-paying. 2) Fill out any benefits your country allows you - ballache, I know, but worth doing even if it comes to naught (as you at least feel you are doing something). 3) Give your partner time to process the information. They will be scared and angry as they (like you) have been blindsided. Let them be angry for a few days before the logical part of their brain kicks in and recognises that you have been fired not for any personal failing as a father and a husband, but because your skills do not align with that role. Drop me an update in a few months and best of luck with fatherhood!

Im watching this not because I got fired yet but to inspire myself that if I do get fired next week, im more emotionally prepared for it. I have been catastrophizing since last week, its really weighing me down.
You got this. As a HR professional for 30 years, I know first hand that people who lost their job always tell me it was the best thing that happened to them.
I remember getting fired from my first real job straight out of grad school, due partly to restructuring and also due to me not being on the best terms with my manager (INTJ problems - what can I say?). My reaction at the time was a mix of relief and uncertainty but I was blessed to have my life and finances in order beforehand, and with the help of a career coach/mentor who I worked with in my old job I was able to get into a new role fairly quickly. Not everyone else is so fortunate. Sometimes job loss can be truly devastating and so it's good to see that you're able to pause and take a breath before going on to the next thing, career-wise. Wishing you the very best in your future pursuits and don't forget - we work to live, we don't live to work! Stay strong and keep going!
It really must be an INTJ thing. The good news is I started to apply for other jobs just in case way before this happened lmao. Reading your comment gives me hope that only better opportunities lie ahead.
Yes, we may have problems with authority or superiors because we consider everyone equal, no one is above or below for us. This is something people should learn from us.
I worked as an IT Technician at a local college as my 2nd IT job after I got laid off from a call center job that I worked for nearly 3 years. I wasn't skilled enough for the job yet, but I wanted the job badly that I lied my way through the job, and usually, im a quick learner, too. I didn't think I was going to get the job, but I got it and was excited about it, thinking this was going to be a perfect job for me that I can do as a career. Fast forward 3 months later, the college job ended up being way tougher than I thought, and my "trainer" didn't really do his job to help me improve. Every time I ask for help or need some reminder from my trainer, he would make these annoying "what-do-you-think" remarks and doesn't help me. Plus, working 10-hour shifts a day was what stressed me out the most about the job. On my last day of working there, I got to my boss's office after my first hour of the day and he told me I wasn't "progressing enough" for the job and I must be released. As my boss made me pack my stuff and escorted me to my car; he told me I was his worst incompetent employee, too many complaints about me not knowing what I'm doing, and this job and the IT career are not for me. All honesty, I was actually more glad that I didn't need to work there anymore than upset that I got fired. I wanted to like the job, but I couldn't and I wanted out there.
I just got let go today from my job I wasn’t much upset as I was disappointed I was making good money as well as getting benefits but at the same time I felt like I was losing a piece of myself in it I was doing my best but I guess it wasn’t good enough and as much as I wanted to cry I didn’t I’m 26 almost 27 years old I don’t have a proper job anymore but I’m not letting this stop me because right now I want take care of myself because I’ve neglected it for too long and remind myself that nobody is perfect and chase after my dream and grasp it
I got fired the day after I found out my wife of 16 years, was cheating on me. Life sucks right now but hey, I am healthy, I have a beautiful daughter, and I have the drive to bounce back!
It's funny that sometimes my life is so related to Lydia's. I'm also unemployed since last Friday lol. But I decided to resign cause that job was making me be stuck. It's hard to deal with unemployment, but sometimes it's a way of make us to grow and start something new
That last part really hit hard.. You're completely right.. We are focusing too much on career and achievement, we are focusing too much on the future without remembering that we live in the present, and that the present time is never gonna be here again. Why do we have to wait for a "cancer" for example to make us wake up and take action to liberae ourselves?! WE CARE TOO MUCH, about superficial things sometimes🤓 This video woke me up, thank you...❤ And also I'm happy that you're happy and free, make the most out of this time
I am about to lose my job. I’m freaking out. Please someone pray for my future. I don’t have much money in the bank. What upsets me the most is the way my employer went about it. I feel heartbroken
@@Eron55555 thanks for following up - I’m much better. I hired a lawyer and won against the company. They were forced to apologise, and they made changes in the structure so I don’t have to deal with the b*tch that tried to sack me for nothing.
@@AndreCoelhoMatos your story sounds a bit like my current story. New process and people and I got screw jobbed by new bit*ch management. For my situation I'm screwed because I'm contact. Sucks...
Thank you! The same thing happened to me yesterday and I found this video massively comforting. I have been a range of emotions from silent, to sobbing, to screaming, to feeling free, to not sleeping and going to the gym. I think I'm starting to calm down now and accept it. And if a beautiful and lovely girl like you can be fired, anyone can! God has better plans for us
i lost my job in January. I am still upset over it. Even I am pushing retirement age, i feel they had it for me. I think they could of done a better job and I think I could have done something better.
Mac n cheese. Best comfort food. I will say this, as someone who was recently homeless. You quickly find your possessions, fancy apartment, designer clothes, don't mean shit. Simplify your life.
Just lost my job yesterday. I went through all the emotions too and settled on what am I going to so now. I'm one of the ones that is going to be in deep dodo even if my unemployment kicks in. I knee it was coming, I worked in credit cards...those I was fired because my stats tanked after I got a "soft" lateral promotion into training. They decided to stop hiring and threw me back on the phones.i did the bare minimum to get by and it nailed me. I hated it so it's fine that they fired me...I dont have to deal with them anymore. I'm just stressed out about my financial situation. Good luck on the future.
It's surreal to imagine that before being eligible for retirement I will have to work yet for nearly 30 years. The retirement age for my generation has been lifted to 67. How will people at this age keep up with the physical and mental requirements?
As a person who has had a history of being fired myself 😂i can tell you its definitely their loss, and maybe its for the best you will find something better most likely or maybe you can start something yourself companies are notorious for firing intelligent people and letting the slackers stay behind, not necessarily tgat your coworkers are slackers but that has happened to me, after i left my job they hired slackers for cheaper wages and the company took a dive, interesting video as usual.✌🏻💚
This was a powerful message. I’m always stressing over finances. I just lost my job as well. You said that you can be successful and still get cancer because you’re worrying so much about your career. I never thought about it from that perspective.
it took me 1 week before i got affected by this. and that gut feeling you said that something is gonna happen and they call you in hr. yeah its true. but the most embarrassing thing is they walk you to your car.
I had a prestigious internship at a big CPA firm. I was not given an offer at the end of it. Hurt bad. Got another job through my network at a similar prestigious firm and never looked back. 10 years later I am a Partner living a way better life. Things happen and you learn and move on
Sorry to hear Lydia, but it’s amazing the way you are dealing with it and I love the fact that you decided to openly talk about this, sharing your vulnerability and strength with us. You are so right that we often feel ashamed when things like this happen to us and you are such a great example of how we should deal with them. Make the most of your freedom and of the opportunity to reinvent your life for now! Thanks for sharing ❤
Go after them big time. File online Canadian Human Rights complaint. Portal makes you do it in one sitting. Start talking to employment lawyers. You have a settlement coming. I would sue the manager as well personally outside of Company. No way their HR supported that. Can't hide behind them. Good luck.
Im a nurse i was fired last Thursday morning and i start my new job orientation wensday morning, 😂 i was fired for standing up for myself and i dont regret it at all i did whats right.
Thank you for this video. I got let go this morning. It was super comforting to know these are normal human emotions. And your self worth is not attracted to your job. ❤
sorry that it happened to you. Been there done that... Yes, I went through a range of emotions. First, I know this is something I can't really argue about - I mean they made it something like a discussion setting - you know it's over and you are in the abyss in relation to the current job. It feels very personal and there is nothing they can say that will make you feel better.
I just got fired today. Not a great feeling but it wasn’t the right job for me. I made some mistakes and I own that. I also didn’t like the management style. I received more severance than I the company was required to give me. It was as amicable as it could be under the circumstances. I’m 50 and have been fired many, many times. Each time I have gotten over it. It’s so common nowadays. It’s always a temporary blow to the self-esteem. I hate having to work. I think I need to work for me and have to find a way to do that.
You are way more beautiful than working for any low intellectual thinkers who cant run there own life . GOD IS your boss ask him .he will help you ❤ much love 🤗 i got fired 2 months ago and i am happier than ever .if you wanna talk i am always here for 😊
Hello Lydia, I'm 30 years old and I also had lost my job recently. I just watched your other video about being "so mature for your age" and honestly that's how it felt watching this video. Your 'maturity' really inspires me, which is a bit embarrassing not gonna lie lol. I spent a month of panic and agony and only now I'm coming to the realisation that I should enjoy this free time, that years from now I'd be looking back and wish to get this time off (albeit it was forced on me). I'm finally at a better mental space this week and I'm actually calculating my next move calmly and not in panic. Your video was a good reminder that it's not really that deep to be in this situation, it's just how the market is going. It's easy to blame one's self (and that's what I did initially) because I thought why me? I did everything I thought was right to be able to afford a decent life, so why me? why now? Now I realise it's not my fault. Instead of beating myself up I should work with what I'm given. You booking a flight the moment you were fired really inspired me lol. I mean, yea god is giving us this free time, might as well enjoy it while it lasts. Wish you all the best luck!
I wouldn't be too hard on yourself for having that moment, thinking it was 'perhaps your fault'. It is completely natural and even I have had mental loops where I go back and question if it was really all my fault. The good news is that our lives are made up of so many components. While career is usually the most valued one (in terms of finances) it really isn't what life is all about. You got this!!
@@aGumball Some of us had managed to collect savings for a "black day" for years and I encourage you to do that too. That's why we now can "enjoy the sunset". You don't know when you'll be without money next time, so when you do have the money, save it for emergency.
Thank you! I was fired 4 weeks ago, other than the plane ticket, our day, feelings, how it happened mirrored each other. You helped me feel better. It's a ride to be sure but I'm forging ahead! Be well
I got laid off 4 years ago, I was 39. My husband got laid off 2 months ago, the job market seems tougher for him than it was for me. I think a lot of us young Gen X and millennials have or will experience a layoff. It’s even more challenging if you have kids. If you haven’t job searched in the last 5 years, things are different. There’s a lot of assessment tests and multiple rounds of interviewing and sadly ghosting from Employers and Recruiters. Be prepared, if you have experience then an opportunity will come your way but the job search will definitely have its ups and downs.
I'm also just got fired yesterday and ended up watching videos like this. Thankfully knowing this is not only me makes me feel better. I am happy to find another way now.
One of my best days was when I got fired: went to a butterfly exhibit, watched my friend get LASIK, and found a strangers keys and he gave me $20 for my trouble!
I am really trying my best and it always the same problem - I have had trying working in several companies - and then get fired after one month. It is really depressing me that I get fired and fired over again, but I feel overwhelmed with the work. Always some problem happens after some days and I am tired of getting fired. Maybe working in first job market is not the right thing for me and I should not try working anymore ? Perhaps it is all too much stress for me and the companies have very high expectations which I am not able to fulfill
Depending on the job, sometimes that's the best thing for you. You can reset your batteries, so to speak...think about what to do with your life and move on. Personally, it can be refreshing.
I got fired last night when my net shift would have been today. They weren't able to give me an actual reason why I was being fired. I live in Vancouver and it's so expensive here and it's scary.
So I recently just got let go as well. The positive thing is that I had already kind of been feeling like it wasn’t going to work out for like a year now before hand. The good news is that that allowed me time to do all the work and mentally prepare myself for this day. I also had the same thought that she mentioned in the video “I’m free” when the incident finally happened. Afternoon additional research if that’s your first thought what it means is that most likely the role wasn’t for you or the company wasn’t for you. Now, is the time that you lean on your support network and move on .
Been at the same job for 20 years, they told me i needed to do better or I was gone. Everyone “above” me is acting off, my boss is actually being somewhat nice.. I am suppose to have a meeting with Hr in a few days.. I have a feeling I am a goner. Been making me sick …
I was terminated last week, which is how I found this video. I have learned a long time ago not to perceive something as temporal as an occupation as a defining characteristic for myself. The entire rationale is specious. You're given this position by someone else, and it is taken away by someone else. No one has a right to edit your personality or character, and you should have the awareness to not allow someone else to construct you. An occupation is not who you are; you're much more than that. In the end, it's just a job, it's just work.
Watching this because I got fired, I’m glad HR and ur boss atleast said something to you together. I was fired by my boss’s husband over the phone who had nothing to do with the company
I think it's quite natural to experience conflicting emotions about being fired. When I was let go by my first ever job, i was pissed because I didn't think what I did deserved being fired; plus I needed the money - and I wasn't sure what I was going to do. At the same time I was somewhat relieved because the environment wasn't the most ideal and it wasn't what I wanted to do with my life in general. Looking back almost ten years on, I don’t care anymore and I'm really grateful for the experience because it taught me a lot. You have already right to feel how you do about losing your job. I just wish you the best and I pray you find something much better soon. In fact, you will. In the meantime, take care of yourself and savour your newfound freedom for now.❤❤
Being fired can set you back soooo far from your goals! You lose the money you saved up, you become financially dependent on your parents & you start to steal money or get that consent from your parents to use their credit card!! And sometimes you lose your rights to your bank account. If you are sitting in your car & you realize and wake up to all that happened to you try to get back on track. If you are unemployed for a long time you forget how to work. You forget how to work at a cash register & you forget how to function in a work place. You have to rebuild your skills. You get closer to becoming homeless. You have to live with your parents if you are in your 20’s. You have to have something that people wanna invest in or buy or purchase. So don’t give your stuff away for free! Make a profit off it. My family are narcissists and want me to be poor and financially dependent or to give them all the money i make. So i started using them for their money. And got them to give me consent to do so
I was let go during the last recession from a decent job pay wise but not a great environment. Was unemployed for a year, only had one job interview, eventually got hired at that job to make a long story short. I was pretty relaxed and relieved like you are when I was let go. It wasn’t personal on their part. I just accepted it. Thank goodness for unemployment paychecks. Now my pay is double what it was before in a way bigger company with a way better atmosphere. Not to say the same thing will happen but just some anecdotal evidence that it did work out for the better. 😃 I did not get a plane ticket anywhere. 😂 Needed to save money. The boss I have now has said in the past “I wish I could have a hundred of you.” While other bosses in the past have called me a rebel and we’d just butt heads. 🤷♂️ Personality differences. I’m also an INTJ.
I’ve been let go enough times that i always expect it. Four times so far. I’m in my last corporate job after which i’m going to be angling for a lay off, next Spring to be exact. My point here is that I’ve been laid off four times and am looking for a fifth, because i like the pay out, which has at times been quite generous. I’ve stayed at jobs knowing the job was going to be eliminated, or i was not one of management’s favorites, because i wanted the package. It’s a strategy worth considering.
2 of my co-workers who i worked with for so many years just got fired 2 days ago because of our company's recent "low" budget. both were very hard working people and had always put in all their effort in their respective roles. i wont be surprised if i'm next in line to be let go even if i consider my position very important in the company. they are also my good friends too outside of work so not having them as co-workers stings alot and its going to be a totally different working atmosphere in a bad way going forward.
My last last job, during the pandemic, my company laid off more than half the employees and I was one of them. Chicago had some stupid rules for months that only emergency dental work could be done, and my boss made high end aesthetics for dental prosthetics, so few dentists were sending in work. That combined with only so many people being allowed in each room at a time, he was forced to let go of those not absolutely necessary for running the company. Technically, it was my dream job, making videos and running their social media, particularly TH-cam videos. But at the same time, during the BLM stuff in Chicago, there were riots and warnings not to go driving on the roads near Chicago because people were walking in front of cars and pulling people out of their cars, beating them up, and destroying their vehicles. The Best Buy near me was looted. I didn't feel safe at all. So I was actually glad to be able to move away back to my parents house. I ended up getting a job at the same place I worked at while still in high school, so a bummer there. But I enjoyed it somewhat anyway, and got some bills paid off. Then they installed a new General Manager and it was terrible, so I quit. But today I start my new job and I'm excited, not my dream job, but it's a company whose products I really can stand behind. I didn't expect to find another job so quickly. LAST NOTE: That's cool you also feel like God tells you things about diet, I thought I was just weird or my mind was playing with me. I just found this video by accident, an interview on the channel Diary of a CEO, with the "Glucose Goddess" aka Jessie Inchauspe (French). And after that awesome video, I bought her book "Glucose Revolution" and it's been a life-changer for me! PS: totally agree about the gluten and toxic sprays on food.
I got fired on my birthday, I was asking too many questions like I asked about a salary increase and if there is a way to ventilate the room where I worked. There wasn’t. I was back from a vacation and wanted to check the schedule, thats how I found out I was fired, they didn’t even tell me…
i just came home from place i worked in. i got fired. im a refugee and that thing was important for my living here. tbh it was half my fault. because i couldnt be part of team, and, mostly, because i skipped so much work days. and also he said he just wants other people. i just stayed home, half of excuses were just to stay, half were of my health, because mental is ruining everything. boss said he will give good recomendation for me, but.. what do i do now. i am barely living on money i get from social help, i can afford stuff, but its still hard. its so hard to find job in this country so i dont know what to do. ive just stopped thunking of ending this all, i wanna be better, i wanna try, but every time im being given by opportunity i just.. fail it. i dont feel like i actually can do something. its okay to be fired and i would be okay if he fired me in other circumstances but now i really lost. i am an adult and i have to take responsibility and care for myself. i understand that. but i.. i really dont know what to say
Wow your fired story was really same like me. I got fired calling and my boss just staring at my eyes, they're HR and boss waiting and immediately I can't access my computer 😂 and look at we're 2 right now just being okay without that company ❤
@thelydshow Hi 👋🏼 Thanks for the calming video. Sending a hug. Hope you are doing better by now. I got let go last month from my logistics operations management role in Bangladesh along with 9 of my colleagues. The company messed up badly in business, so couldn't afford us. Tried to point finger at my performance. Pressured us to 'resign due to personal reason' to reduce their liabilities. I reported their harassment to the mother company in Italy and chose termination instead 😅. I joined a Gym and enrolled in IELTS right after that. I am allowing my brain to figure out the next career step while applying. I think you should do voiceovers as you have a beautiful voice. I am an aspiring Narrator. Do let me know if I can help in any project that needs a deep calm male voice. Take care
Being fired and getting laid off are different. Being fired, employee's at fault with something. Being laid off, company's at fault with something. Both result in termination.
The universe have something better for you in the future ⭐ Take care of yourself, do what you love, enjoy yourself. Intuition always guide us to the right path. It also want us to be patient and focus on ourselves, let the life unfold / do its job. INTJ emotions that come long after what happened 🤣: "Wait ? what happened ? I am sad ? What I am supposed to feel ? Why I am not angry ? Feel nothing and everything" I went to something similar the 17 December 2021, it was the last day at a temporary job I loved at a place I liked. I couldn't find anything better than staring at the starry sky. A car almost hit me in front of the building of my appartement. Since this day, I see the synchronicity, signs of the unconscious/universe. Job, material, coworkers, friends... nothing is stable, everything constantly change and is temporary, it's life, impermanence. (I read something like this in the book I read actually : "mindfulness in plain English")

I found myself in this position a few months ago. I would suggest you do the following three things:
1) Seek out 2-3 people who know you well (either friends or family) and run through what you are actually good at - 100% there are things you believe everyone can just 'do', which they cannot.
I got fired the day after I found out my wife of 16 years, was cheating on me. Life sucks right now but hey, I am healthy, I have a beautiful daughter, and I have the drive to bounce back!
as always, everything happens for a reason :)) better things lie ahead!
Thank you for helping me process the difficult emotions I am going through
It's funny that sometimes my life is so related to Lydia's. I'm also unemployed since last Friday lol. But I decided to resign cause that job was making me be stuck. It's hard to deal with unemployment, but sometimes it's a way of make us to grow and start something new
wow.... so in sync
I couldn’t of said it better myself
That last part really hit hard.. You're completely right..
We are focusing too much on career and achievement, we are focusing too much on the future without remembering that we live in the present, and that the present time is never gonna be here again.
Why do we have to wait for a "cancer" for example to make us wake up and take action to liberae ourselves?!
WE CARE TOO MUCH, about superficial things sometimes🤓
This video woke me up, thank you...❤
And also I'm happy that you're happy and free, make the most out of this time
thank you so much Nadine
I am about to lose my job. I’m freaking out. Please someone pray for my future. I don’t have much money in the bank.
What upsets me the most is the way my employer went about it. I feel heartbroken
this too shall pass

I, too, just got let go yesterday. Thank you for this video because I felt so alone.
God has better plans for us
it gets so much better! you will see
I got fired a day ago and I’m going through the same thing , any advice ; I’m having a hard time coping
i lost my job in January. I am still upset over it. Even I am pushing retirement age, i feel they had it for me. I think they could of done a better job and I think I could have done something better.
so sad to hear :/ but we can always look at it as a sign to change things up
Mac n cheese. Best comfort food. I will say this, as someone who was recently homeless. You quickly find your possessions, fancy apartment, designer clothes, don't mean shit. Simplify your life.
yesss really trying to be less materialistic!
I'm worried that I will pass all of my life working and that I won't spend enough time living
My daily crisis tbh…
Welcome to life, unless you when the lottery, inherit or invest really well.
It's surreal to imagine that before being eligible for retirement I will have to work yet for nearly 30 years. The retirement age for my generation has been lifted to 67. How will people at this age keep up with the physical and mental requirements?
As a person who has had a history of being fired myself 😂i can tell you its definitely their loss, and maybe its for the best you will find something better most likely or maybe you can start something yourself companies are notorious for firing intelligent people and letting the slackers stay behind, not necessarily tgat your coworkers are slackers but that has happened to me, after i left my job they hired slackers for cheaper wages and the company took a dive, interesting video as usual.✌🏻💚
thank you for this! I am choosing to believe something much better is on its way :))
Got fired on Monday. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my first kid. The firing feels like very discriminatory but w.e. I am 30 years old,
I got fired 2 days ago from a place I thought was my thing… I was there for over a year… and I was fired over a 1 time mistake
This was a powerful message. I’m always stressing over finances. I just lost my job as well. You said that you can be successful and still get cancer because you’re worrying so much about your career. I never thought about it from that perspective.
You’re describing my feelings right now, thank you so much for this video!!!
Glad it was helpful!
it took me 1 week before i got affected by this. and that gut feeling you said that something is gonna happen and they call you in hr. yeah its true. but the most embarrassing thing is they walk you to your car.
I had a prestigious internship at a big CPA firm. I was not given an offer at the end of it. Hurt bad. Got another job through my network at a similar prestigious firm and never looked back. 10 years later I am a Partner living a way better life. Things happen and you learn and move on
Is your firm using any AI tools for Office? CoPilot? Python Integration? x CPA here now MBA-Management Information Systems
Hey guys, I got sacked earlier too. Just out of the blue and feel really scared but relieved at the same time
Just got fired from a roofing sales job making GREAT money😢😢so I feel you
I enjoyed the video. I was let go from my job this morning. I think I will also do a video this week. Also, I like your sense of humor.

I know right 😂
Sorry to hear Lydia, but it’s amazing the way you are dealing with it and I love the fact that you decided to openly talk about this, sharing your vulnerability and strength with us. You are so right that we often feel ashamed when things like this happen to us and you are such a great example of how we should deal with them. Make the most of your freedom and of the opportunity to reinvent your life for now! Thanks for sharing ❤
thanks for this comment Alice!
I’m glad I discovered this because I literally got fired wrongfully so for being pregnant which is insane.
That’s illegal like a champ. I would go to EEO.
@@tijeraslack3 thank you love I’m looking into that for sure
Go after them big time. File online Canadian Human Rights complaint. Portal makes you do it in one sitting. Start talking to employment lawyers. You have a settlement coming. I would sue the manager as well personally outside of Company. No way their HR supported that. Can't hide behind them. Good luck.
Thanks for this. It was helpful to hear that others have this experience.
You got this!!
that's good and all, but some of us need money to live. we can't just sit outside and enjoy the sunset
@@aGumball Some of us had managed to collect savings for a "black day" for years and I encourage you to do that too. That's why we now can "enjoy the sunset". You don't know when you'll be without money next time, so when you do have the money, save it for emergency.
Good thing sunsets are free
I was fired 3 hours ago and I'll miss the money. And one co-worker. This video has really helped me ❤ thank you.
It gets much worse...get busy with something.. health first
I'm also just got fired yesterday and ended up watching videos like this.
Personally, it can be refreshing.
true, and everything happens for a reason
I got fired last night when my net shift would have been today. They weren't able to give me an actual reason why I was being fired. I live in Vancouver and it's so expensive here and it's scary.
You will find something quickly. Try to take care of yourself while you are off.
Now, is the time that you lean on your support network and move on .
exactly! this is good to hear
thanks for this video. i recently got laid off and this video helped me threw the emotions.
I got let go from my job this video is very peaceful boosting my mentality that a better opportunity is coming thank you ❤
I got inspiration from you, regarding how to cope with the feeling of getting fired
I needed this so badly
So how is everyone doin 6 months after being shitcanned?
I resigned on Thursdays, i was actually emotionally pushed to resigning by my supervisor. 😢 so yep
i feeeeel this
Hi, I've binged a few of your videos...which field do you work(ed) at?
i was working in merchandising analytics
Watching this because I got fired, I’m glad HR and ur boss atleast said something to you together. I was fired by my boss’s husband over the phone who had nothing to do with the company
Do not look back. Look forward. You are the boss, so become the boss.
In the meantime, take care of yourself and savour your newfound freedom for now.❤❤
thank you!!! its really helpful to realize that in ten years from now this will seem so trivial :)
I did not get a plane ticket anywhere. 😂 Needed to save money.
The boss I have now has said in the past “I wish I could have a hundred of you.” While other bosses in the past have called me a rebel and we’d just butt heads. 🤷♂️
Personality differences.
I Hope things have improved for you and you have work now

It's my sister who got fired not me, it was a new job with a toxic environment that she wasn't enjoying but it still really shook her hard...
PS: totally agree about the gluten and toxic sprays on food.
wow what a trip. Hope the new job works out for you!!

I got fired on my birthday, I was asking too many questions like I asked about a salary increase and if there is a way to ventilate the room where I worked. There wasn’t. I was back from a vacation and wanted to check the schedule, thats how I found out I was fired, they didn’t even tell me…
I was in a job and my boss completely hated me.i.lasted 9 months
June 16th was a nightmare 😢 so in sync with this video right now.
i just came home from place i worked in. i got fired. im a refugee and that thing was important for my living here. tbh it was half my fault. because i couldnt be part of team, and, mostly, because i skipped so much work days. and also he said he just wants other people. i just stayed home, half of excuses were just to stay, half were of my health, because mental is ruining everything. boss said he will give good recomendation for me, but.. what do i do now. i am barely living on money i get from social help, i can afford stuff, but its still hard. its so hard to find job in this country so i dont know what to do. ive just stopped thunking of ending this all, i wanna be better, i wanna try, but every time im being given by opportunity i just.. fail it. i dont feel like i actually can do something. its okay to be fired and i would be okay if he fired me in other circumstances but now i really lost. i am an adult and i have to take responsibility and care for myself. i understand that. but i.. i really dont know what to say
I'm getting fired tomorrow, the nerves are real.

Wow your fired story was really same like me. I got fired calling and my boss just staring at my eyes, they're HR and boss waiting and immediately I can't access my computer 😂 and look at we're 2 right now just being okay without that company ❤
Fired or laid off? If laid off, did they give you a severance?
If she got laid off that means it mostly likely was seasonal

Being fired and getting laid off are different. Being fired, employee's at fault with something. Being laid off, company's at fault with something. Both result in termination.
Not if an entire team is “fired” when new management comes in ;)

I went to something similar the 17 December 2021, it was the last day at a temporary job I loved at a place I liked.
