Joulle electric camping kettle, by Stoic Voltaics: from coffee, to popcorn, to a crawfish boil

- My true blue collapsible kettle has been a real MVP of my camp cooking gear, but it's a bit limited. So I'm trying out a fancier electric kettle, that can make hot drinks, food, and even popcorn. Let's see if it's a game changer!
UPDATE: Just FYI, after some use, I have found that the lid tends to shrink? warp? I'm not sure, but it no longer snaps on. I just rest it on top, but I thought y'all should know about it.

Cool product!
love your reference to the jet boil. i see this more for the college dorm use. like the old 2 cup electric pot. this is the newer generation. able too do more. steamer pot improvement. get some grill/grate screens. cut & form one to fit the pot.
Thanks for discount code. I received mine yesterday and I think this will be super handy for camping and in my kitchen. They were running a special so it only cost $20. Yay!
Wow I think you scored the best deal out of everyone! Nicely done 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Nice ! That might be worth taking a look at just for the popcorn alone ! 😉👍
Ran across these andhave been looking for cooking ideas. Thanks for the steamer example, great idea even if it imploded.
You bet! Later on, I found just a small mason jar, raised up from the bottom worked pretty well, as seen here: th-cam.com/video/0-PPGQfd7X8/w-d-xo.html I also got a mesh pencil cup, for steaming veggies, but haven't tried it out yet.
Also, just a heads up that, with use, the lid has a tendency to warp, and will cease to snap on. I just rest it on top during cooking.
Bummer about the warping lid...@@ShoestringMartha
Very cool. Sad I missed the discount.
Thank you! This opens up a lot more options at camp ❤
I watched this video when you first posted and I wanted this kettle so bad, but couldn't afford it. I put it on my Bucket List and guess what? The company just reached out for a collab. I am so looking forward to trying this out and using it. I seem to get stuck inside my SUV during so many storms and can't use my stove inside, so this is going to be perfect for me!!! I'm thinking a stir-fry and some shrimp in there!
Congratulations! They were pretty great to work with. Looking forward to seeing your experience with it, and now you've got me thinking about trying jambalaya 🤔🦐🍚
OMG Your little Pug in the background lookin like he's Jonesing for some popcorn. Those eyes
He’s a Frenchie, and typical of his breed, he is *intense* , especially when food is involved 😂
Wow!
I like it!!
When it was boiling and you took the lid off….I said WHOA the exact same time you did…It was too funny😂😂 Love your new gadget and the field test. ❤🐶
That was a VIGOROUS boil 😅😅😅
Love your new camping toys - I mean - tools.
Thanks for showing us new products.
Your “test lab work” is always appreciated!
Somehow I got 20% off then the 50% off on the unit from Amazon via your link - so it came to $32!
Woooo Hoooo!
OPINEL KNIVES FOREVER!
Nice score!! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 And yes, love my Opinel 🥰🔪
Nice!
Nice I will be looking in to this. Thank you
Love your videos %!
Thanks!
Very neat gadget.
What a great piece of kit! It looks stable too! Usually I’m put off using the butane jet stoves as they are high and narrow and don’t look stable at all!
Tippy things make me nervous! 😅
Love it. Buttons longevity is the only thing i might worry about but being able to do multiple task in small space is awesome. I found a drip filter that fits with colors and small bag of coffee and popcorn that stores in it. It is similar to her boil. I bought this because i am using solar for all my cooking. To many times you go where there is burn bans and i don't want to haul extra fuel canisters that could blow up
The longer I have it, the more uses I find for it! So far, for me, the button is holding up, but the lid tends to warp or shrink after just a few uses, and no longer snaps on. 😕
Yeah, so I just did a thing! Great review! Can't wait for delivery and the endless possibilities!
Woohoo! I’ve (clearly) had fun with mine 😂 Hope you enjoy yours just as much.
Nice! Thank you for the code, I just purchased one to try out. Appreciate your reviews and of course your adventures with Gunther. 💜🌸🐶
Woo! Enjoy! and thank you for hanging with me and Gunther 💕
Be glad the company gave you yours! $99.00 after applying coupon!
What? That is some baloney! That is the normal full price (which you can see on their site www.stokevoltaics.com/products/joulle😡 ) The half off coupon I posted in the description should still be good until the end of the month 🤞🏻
You don't need straw. Just shake it every once in awhile. Fyi 🥰
Cool gadget!
Cook some rice!
So can a little collapsible steamer fit in there? At least ramen noodles will be an easy meal in it. I like it and it’s on my wish list. Thanks!
My little bamboo steamer (RIP) was 4" wide, and a touch too snug. If you can find one that's smaller than that, it would probably work. If I can't find one small enough, I'm thinking of modifying a can somehow to do the job. Or maybe even a utensil holder, like this one. It's 3.9" wide, which is cutting it *awfully* close -- but maybe. I'd have to measure the depth of the kettle too. amzn.to/45v6UCy
Great review! Take my money. Amazon, as of yesterday, has a 30% off coupon. Can't wait until Friday😊 Now off to find frozen dumplings😂
There's a 50% off one in the description!! ETA: this is it -- hope it works -- UFHX9VWI
Son of a . . . 😂 Code works. Guess what my daughter and her wife are getting for Christmas? Thanks so much!
Ha! Well lucky for them!
Easy to clean with how deep and somewhat narrow the opening is?
It was roomy enough for me to scrub with my lil hands, but I do wish that the metal insert was removeable so I could fully submerge it. 😕 That’s my one quibble.
Do you just wipe the inside of the Joulle to clean it or are you able to wash it? tfs
While camping, I’ll swish some water around in it at wipe it out. At home, I wash it with running water and soap, but don’t submerge it and try my best not to splash the bottom part. Also let it thoroughly dry before using it again.
I actually just bought some foil grease bucket liners that they use for grilling, to try and use for easy clean up. Will keep you posted!
@@ShoestringMartha thanks for the info. Looking forward to hearing how u like the liners.
Which bluetti power station did you use to power the kettle
This was the EcoFlow River Pro 1
May be more versatile than the blue kettle but ain't nearly as cute.
True story! 😄
