Someone is hitting the big time now! Congrats on a requested review from Temu. I like the utensil set and I’m really curious about the car camping blanket. Like that it draws less power. Hope it will work well.
Thank you! It's still a bazillion degrees out here; so who knows when I'll be able to give it a real test. I thought I might be able to, this last trip, since it got down in the 50s at night, but I was quite comfy at those temps, and never turned it on.
I couldn’t quite get it to work like in the description, but it was still faster than my usual technique 😄 They have another version, with more cross-wires that supposedly makes cubes, rather than slices. 🍉🍉🍉
The bug zapper is supposed to be used in the dark. The fly wasn’t attracted to the light. They do work great for mosquitoes in your vehicle at night. I’ll turn mine on about an hour before bed with all windows and doors closed. The clothes washer is only good for undies, and lightweight T-shirts.
I have two toilets, depending on the length of time that I’m going to be out circumstances ,I have the 5 gallon bucket with the Walmart toilet seat, plastic bag of course and I have a flushing Cassette toilet 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽💞
🧐 Not sure if that collapsible toilet could handle the tonnage of the average American. However, a cheap little 2gal home improvement store pale does. It's only a $12 setup: pale, lid & toilet bowl cleaner. 👌 20yrs, it's served me well out on the road! Nice thing about it, it's short enough to "use" inside most vans & suvs. They take up less space too. * They're the original "squatty potty!" 👍
Point taken! 😂 My 5gal served me well for a long time, but yeah, the space it took up. I did pack it with gear, so that helped justify the space it took up. A 2 gal would have been a real space saver!
Keen to see how the electric blanket works out for you! I’ve never seen a 12v one before. I sooooo nearly bought the washing machine …. Might do it now 😅
I have a male yorkie rescue that cocks his keg on everything. He wears a belly band in the house. I use washing machine for that. It is perfect. I got it free for playing the Fishland game
Ok I have the same Joulle pot and I really like it.. Only issue I have is that after using for awhile, the top no longer fits snug.. Make great popcorn with coconut oil and garlic salt though.. I use the auto off setting to get it up to temp then switch to popcorn mode.. I also use a 12v electric through that works great and turns itself off after 2 hours to prevent accidents..I have same mosquito zapper and no it does not work on flies.. For them I use a trick I learned when I lived on a sailboat and it works pretty well.. Take a quart zip lock bag and fill it with water.. Some say add a shiny penny to the water, then hang the bag in sunlight close to where you are sitting or on a picnic table.. The light refracting through the water drives the flies nuts because how their eyes are constructed with facets on them. They become disoriented and stay away..
A lot of interesting gadgets and items here. To be honest, the one I liked the best and would be most useful to me is that collapsible toilet haha I do like the headrest/backseat organizer as well!
The usefulness of the seat organizer thingie was a delightful surprise! I had also ordered a tray that is supposed to drape over a couch arm, to replace my janky wooden "night stand", but it must have sold out. Next time, or I might just Amazon it.
I have the utensil set (via Amazon) and love it. It is my camping utensil set. I need to look into the collapsible toilet. Mine is bulky. I have a VW Tiguan and need all the space I can get re: packing.
Wow a Tiguan would be snug- much respect! I made the bucket work by stuffing my rug and other stuff into it, but its rigidity really reduced the options for storage. I need to plan a boondocking trip to try out the new gear.
@cosycovevlog3260 I sleep in the Tiguan and love it. I'm 5'2 and can sit up in it fully. Because I am height challenged, my front seat it up far. So, my mattress fits perfectly. I have the mattress fully spread out. I use the picnic table or my camp table nearby for cooking. I did get a roof cargo carrier to hold gear. At camp, the front passenger seat is my pantry for dried goods (soft cooler) and water jugs in the footwell. Provided I am not in bear country.
@@ShoestringMartha I mainly camp at state parks so the entire SUV is my sleep area. If I had to do half, it would be snug for me and my dog. I pack items in my bucket toilet too. It made me realize that I will keep using it. The bucket holds the commode bags, cat litter bag, and other items for my bathroom set-up.
Are you not worried that there is malwarw that takes your data on temu? I wanted to get the app, but when I researched it, there were some scary details.
I don’t know. I feel like a) I’ve been on the internet long enough that any vestiges of privacy are long gone. b) They all collect and use our data, in one way or another. But that’s just like my personal opinion. I wouldn’t want anyone to use anything that makes them uncomfortable.
There aren't enough reports out there that should scare you. There are a handful of people that pop up saying something but overall it's not a concern. I've dealt with temu over the past year and no issues whatsoever outside of them texting me and notifications of promotional stuff. Imo people are hating on temu because they're under pricing (if that's a word lol) people in the US. Temu is no more dangerous than Facebook. Actually Facebook worries me more than any other site simply because if I search for something on Google or talk to a friend about something specific, that will pop up in an ad on my Facebook feed almost immediately
He’s hoping for second breakfast! 😂 I didn’t expect to catch any, so I wasn’t prepared with Zatarain’s or anything, so had to make do with a Tajìn, salt, lime juice, and Louisiana hot sauce boil. I’ll show all that in my next video 😉
Okay, you've got me interested in Temu. I was looking around the app before my trip but didn't buy anything since I was going to be gone for a few weeks. I need to take some time to browse around again since I'm back home.
If you see something that catches your eye, be sure to keep looking around. You'll often see the same item, offered by different vendors on the site, at different prices.
my portable toilet is a 3 gallon bucket with the seat on it. will a 4gallon trash bag fit in yours? or do you need to use a 8 gallon. i believe it is coleman who makes them, but your temu table has been on the market for decades. mine is a small canvas 24 x 24. cloth collaspable one. have cut a piece of plywood for a sturdy top. like the minnow trap for mudbugs. now you got me thinking how to pack the 20 qt pot & a stove for doing a boil while camping with some fresh bugs.
I have... 3 gallon? I think? trash bags that fit both in the 5 gal bucket and the collapsible one -- just a lot more "overhang" with the smaller one. Def recommend bringing a pot somehow! My mess kit was completely inadequate for what I caught. 😅
My last trip was at a campground, so I haven't been able to uh... test it. But I did sit on it, and it supported my 130lbs. As long as all the pieces are 100% snapped together, it should hold up.
I've gotten a variety of things from Temu, camping and household stuff...I stay away from food or drink related items because the Chinese are notorious for having exotic chemicals...lead... different kinds of hazardous things in all kinds of items.
I believe that! I might drink from a vessel or quickly cook in it, but I might worry about leeching, by letting any liquid sit in it or simmer in it for a length of time, or cooking at high heat. Everyone has their own risk threshold, which I respect.
I brought it on a recent trip, but still have not "used" it. I did sit on it, and it didn't collapse. I weigh about 135lbs. Just make sure all the pieces are definitely firmly snapped into place. 😄
I don't see that working out honestly. I'm curious myself. I wouldn't be able to use it (I'm 300 lbs) but I would like to know so I can pass it on to other car and van campers
shoulda tested the toilet...like a bucket of water to make sure it doesn't leak and a weight test and were i come from we call those lobsters :))) ive never seen crayfish that big around here 3 inches is about the biggest and its pretty rare
They were some big ol honkers, for sure! Old enough to grow a good layer of algae on them. 😝 You have to put a bag in the terlet to capture uh, goods -- probably should have demo'd that part. I'll show it off more whenever I go boondocking next, maybe October. 🤔
You don't use the bathroom in the toilet without a plastic trash bag liner. I'm sticking with my 5-gallon bucket. The folding table definitely looked like a piece of junk. The music is horrible. I think you did a good job on the video.
exactly. Being they've been repeat offenders for downloading a ton of Malware to your phone which actually does access personal data and ability to hack your email and bank accounts. Same with Tik Tok - too many issues with stolen data.... I would be embarrassed and angry with myself if these hackers did manage to get access to my bank, social media accounts, and email accounts and then later threatened to release whatever stolen data unless I paid the ransom all in the name of buying cheap plastic things from China (where safety is a concern as their regulations is extremely lose) that I only saved $5.... pretty sure I'd rather pay $5 more for an item than possibly deal with identity theft and lose all my money and possibly posting something under my name that would get me canceled
I am so disappointed that you have gone over to the dark side of temu. Firmly embedded in the socio/politico/economic interests of china. Or, if you prefer, if these things are so cheap to buy, imagine how little the workers who make them are paid. It would take any enjoyment out of the gear--so I think I'll pass
@nancymcneill872 I understand your point, Now think on the other side, there employees getting paid 100k to do a job, but you getting 0 done or scams, so I guess hard worker get paid less, and lazy workers get paid More , is a win lose society From Temu I have buy 7 things Martha post(not from her review) is because is cheaper for my income, rather that price that going to this chain department store that charges 3x more plus guaranteed that they never apply if your stuff goes bad

I got the 12v electric blanket from Canadian tire for $50. I use it in school bus as a lap blanket. Love it!!!

I don't know if ice is traditional, but it's hot here! 😅
You got the same porta potty I got for my 4Runner!! That is the only thing I have bought so far from Temu!

Bug zappers, any bug zapper, works best at night when the UV light is the brightest thing bugs, flies and dragons see.
Dang I was hoping to find something for flies. They seem to go away at night, but during the daytime -- so pesky!
