Hello! i have this monitor and tried overclocking it to 165hz, when i do it the main monitor in the settings becomes my second monitor and i cannot move my mouse through screens,is this a common problem?
Max contrast is - 1,132 : 1
Brightness min - 49 cd/m² ² and max - 279 cd/m²
No HDR so no Rec. 2020 or DCI-P3
144hz with HDMI and 165hz with DP
VRR - min 20 and max 165 Hz . Apparently VRR doesn't work with PS5 only with Xbox SX

Congrats on the new monitor! Yes, you definitely have to set the blue light filter if you're going to be using this at night. A few other useful features would probably by setting gamevisual to sRGB mode, since it also lowers the brightness and image intensity, so you're going to put less strain on your eyes. Also Shadowboost, if you feel like the image has too much contrast in the dark areas. Hope you enjoy your new monitor, and don't hesitate to comment if you have more questions!

I am using the Asus Rog Ally with this Monitor. Its connected via Hdmi and the official Rog Gaming charger dock. The problem i have is, that in AMD Adrenalin Software the Freesync is not supported. Someone know i can solve this? Freesync on the monitor is on.

Hi! I just got this monitor and I'm wondering if the overclock would void my warranty. Also would it lessen the lifespan of the monitor if I always have it overclocked?
hi! just figured id let you know, in most cases overclocking isnt covererd in the warranty, if overclocking damadges the product some companys are okay with refunds as-long as you bought it whithin the past 90 days, but if i were you personaly i whouldnt risk it.
I just wanted to buy myself a monitor for Christmas but I do not know which one to choose. I have my eye on 2 monitors and I have a dilemma which one to choose. one of the monitors is LENOVO Legion Y25-30 and the other is ASUS TUF Gaming VG249QM1A. I would be very grateful if you could help me.
I would choose the Y25-30 over the VG249Q. The lenovo monitor has a higher refresh rate at 280hz compared to the Asus Monitor and its bigger in size too. Both panels are ips displays which are both good but the asus is smaller than the lenovo, its really preference. do you prefer a 24.5 inch monitor or a 23.8 inch asus monitor?
My ASUS tuf monitor is only showing 144hz on a 165hz monitor so I’m wondering if I can use custom utility resolution software to overclock it to 165hz since the monitor does support it or just get a usb c to display port adapter what are your thoughts
The monitor settings have an overclock toggle. But only DP will reach 165, maximum of 144hz on HDMI

when i mount vesa the back of the monitor is curved forward the bottom holes are ok but the upper ones i had gap and i needed to press when screwing the screws is that normal i didn't have any spacers
It’s just an unfortunate part of the design. Mine is the same. Just don’t over tighten. It’s a light monitor and the mount will hold fine. Get them snug but then stop.

How do you think if its needed to to overclock up to 165 hz from 144 hz and how it really is better or not while Im playing Apex legends only?

When i go into my settings, all of the settings are grayed out except for brightness, input select, language, power key lock, key lock, power setting, osd setup information and the all reset i dont know what i am doing wrong. I have it set into hdmi into my PS5

@@FrostBite87 I learned I had to take it out of power saving mode. Once I took it out of that power saving or power conserving thing it asked me, it unlocked everything

Hello! Upon checking the specs, the ASUS TUF A15 supports displayport out via USB-C, so I would suggest that you get a USB-C to Displayport 1.4 cable to make the most out of this monitor. Hope this helps!

I'd go with the Asus it has faster response time Also the Asus has an ips panel which is better than a Va panel.
The asus panel also come with a lot more features for the price and with the use of a mount is very good

Look up the hp x27 or x32 those are amazing
This is worth it but the stem isn’t adjustable
I love this monitor for the price but depends where you will sit. I reccomend a vesa arm mount for the desk to help you adjust its position to what works best.

It shouldn’t
What’s your gpu? If it’s even remotely decent then this shouldn’t be an issue for heating. If it is then you need to look into how you’re cooling your system and what kind of ventilation your case is providing. 120hz at 1080p shouldn’t be an issue.
Hi there, i just got the same monitor and when i set up everything, i couldn't fit the cable on HDMI ports only for Display Port, this sucks because i am not able to use any features for the monitor i bought as well as for brightness since i can only get up to 50%, please let me know what should i do, myb i need to buy a HDMI cable?
please construct your statements more clearly next time, you are confusing. Display Port is the better port as the 165Hz refresh rate is only available in that mode.

How's your monitor holding up? Mine is now displaying a horizontal line on some colors after a little over one year of use.
same after 6-8 months, this monitor is bad quality
@@Massa2034 I found others with the same issue I had. I think the issue is really bad for this model. I had since sent mine for RMA to ASUS. They replaced it with a newer model (VG249Q3A) since the old one was no longer in stock. I really do hope the newer model doesn't experience any issues.

The speakers are trash. They are very hollow. If you’re getting this for gaming just use headphone and keep the speakers on mute. If you’re getting this to watch media content then even cheap computer speakers that plug into the headphone jack will sound 1000x better than the monitors
Bro have you tried using DP to HDmi on this? Will 165hz work on it?
I wasn't able to try that, but in my experience, DP to HDMI cables will usually only work at 144Hz, because that's a limitation on the HDMI side.

hey i bought an Asus TUF Gaming VG249Q1R few days ago for my daily use and my ps5 but all objects they have some kind of blur or shade or ghost around them when moving around in games pertty much all my ps5 games. same thing happen in pc to when watching movie or picture do u know whats wrong with it?
You might want to turn on ELMB or Overdrive to reduce image blur.

@@dareedox Im not a expert on the matter (i was looking this up cause Im buying a monitor rn too lol) but apparentely, modern monitors (like the one in question) are adaptive sync compatible. Meaning if the monitor have freesync compatibility, it's also works with g sync.

Are you in power saving mode? If you are then turn that off. If you’re not then are you playing on a console or PC? And if you’re on PC are you using display port? If you’re on console then your max is 120hz so you can’t overlock at all. And if you’re on PC but using hdmi then you’ll be capped at 144 and once again can’t overlock.
I have issue with this monitor, I play ps5 on it, but got black smearing issues/Ghosting, How you fix it ?
turn on backlight strobing to reduce motion blur. idk abt ghosting but you can try lowering/increasing your overdrive setting

Kind of personal preference but tech wise the ips panel on this monitor is better than the va panel on LG. Ips offers better colors and viewing angles and for me it also feels brighter.
What’s the best setting when playing on a Xbox XS
Just turn down overdrive and turn off elmb or freesync. Also your maximum refresh/resolution on console is 120 at 1080p so the 144hz or even overclocked 165 are not even possible on console and require a PC and display port.

ps5 doesn't have a display port, only hdmi. In ur monitor's case hdmi 1.4 will only get 120hz maximum at 1080p

The GTG response time is but that’s just a selling point for people who just see the number. Its MPRT is closer to 4-5 ms I believe. Which is a better metric for actual gameplay.

Unfortunately not. It's only compatible with Freesync Premium and Nvidia Adaptive VSync.

It’s a monitor. It “works” on anything you plug in via hdmi. You just won’t get some of the highest settings bc your system is holding you back.
