    • @Davey-Boyd
      @Davey-Boyd 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Jahwarrior Smoot If you could point me to some proof I would be grateful. One of the main reasons it was debunked was that there is absolutely no way the Soviet army was capable of invading Germany at that time. Especially after what had happened during the Winter War with Finland. Plus, if they were planning an offensive how come the whole of the border region of the USSR was occupied by scattered untrained troops none of which were at full strength, they were not even mobilised for combat. This 'excuse' that the USSR was going to invade first was given by captured German Generals in interviews after WWII. When the Russian WWII archives were opened to scrutiny (temporarily) no evidence was found, though many were looking for it, including Russian scholars.

    Im from Namibia, which i think has quite an interesting system of friendships.
    South Africa: we got independence from them just a generation ago, theyre our besties and we cooperate on vaious factors such as citizenship rights, language, tertiary education, etc, as well as in alliances such as
    SADC: the international community we most see ourselves as part of, bunch of Southern African countries
    SACU: the countries most culturally and historically aligned with Namibia, hence more close cooperation in what is the worlds oldest running customs union
    Germany: we share a close historical and cultural tie with Germany. Interesting love-hate relationship, but its mostly positive with intense development aid and cultural/education exchange between the two
    Finland: similar to germany, the Finns had a well founded presence in Namibia during the colonial period, with a largely positive impact as finnish missionaries spread education onto the local people
    China: this is a very controversial one. Statistics apparently say the chinese community in Namibia may now be larger than the German one. Most Namibians are largely anti-China, and this controversy is reflected in politics, as more anti-China parties see massive gains in elections
    an interesting one ive discovered:
    St Helena: Namibia is basically one of the "supply points" for St Helena next to South Africa, with large investments into the air travel infrastructure from St Helena to Namibia and the rest of the world!

    The Collective Security Treaty features a Hungarian 🇭🇺 flag in place of Tajikistans 🇹🇯. The diffrence is the golden thingy in the middle.
    Hungary being a former Warsaw Pact country (altough not part of CCCP), and nowdays being a close Russia-ally, one could really think, they are part of the Collective Security Treaty, instead of NATO, this mistake can really be misleading.

But you do realize, Portugal was absorbed by Spain from 1580-1640, during which time the English fought the Spanish (and hence Portuguese) in the Anglo-Spanish War.
