a little beside the point, but hearing Koroto talk about Keith vs. Grisha and how that led Keith to sabotaging Eren's gear got me thinking about Keith as a character and his eventual redemption in season 4. made me realize that Keith is basically Snape done right lol
I think the most simple answer for what the Ackermans are is that they are "titan science" in the same way that the King was able to use the Founding Titan to make the Eldians immune to that plague, and how Zeke planned to sterilize them all. Whichever King(s) decided (s)he wanted a special group of super soldiers used the Founding Titan to manipulate their biology over and over to make them as we see them in the present day. However I think that he accidentally gave them the immunity to the Founding Titan's manipulations by messing with their biology too much, to the point they were only just barely Eldians at all anymore. It makes no sense that the King would intentionally give them immunity to his own control, as they would go on to become the greatest threat to his power and rule. So in my mind it makes sense that he kept stretching their limits until he got to the point that he was unable to do so anymore, which is probably around the time he freaked out and decided he needed to get rid of them as they were now a threat to him.
Yeah, we already seen already that the power of the Founder can basically manipulate nearly all of the biology and even memories and minds of any Eldian in the world. So the Ackermans simpls just regular people, who were just further enhanced and changed even more compared to any other Eldian
Re: the cheapness of Amnesia as a plot device, I think you nailed it. From the very beginning they were like "Wall's been here for 100 years and we have no idea where it came from, or what's going on outside of it, and the stories we are told as children don't make a lick of sense.' it was pretty telegraphed that this whole civilization was experiencing some kind of mass-hallucination/mass-amnesia. I specifically remember *not liking it* in season 1. Little did I know...
It also serves the story's goals. For those inside the walls, there is a prevailing fear and then a later understanding but still a conflict that won't stop. Everything outside the walls are Titans. They're monsters who want to kill us. Oh wait, they're Eldians. Our own people. And they're victims. We've been killing our own. Then it's everyone outside the island is a monster. They want to kill us! Oh wait they're our own people. They've been brainwashed by forces bigger than them to hate their own. They're victims in this. Okay all of the world are enemies! They're monsters, they want to kill us! Wait the world is actually a mixture of people. People like Halil's tribe are mixed in with our oppressors and they're as much victims of them as we are. And it works in reverse too. Everyone on the island is a devil! They want to kill us all! Wait there are no devils on this island. Just people. We decided people we never met were evil. The problem is a lack of understanding. There's too much trauma right there on the surface that there's no incentive to understand, and you end up causing irreparable harm to the innocent trying to get at the guilty. The actual walls are ignorance and most have no intention or desire to escape them.
@@JaketheMovieGeekthat’s not amnesia. Just some real world example of how history is not complete. Nobody knows for sure what happened to Christ(2000 years ago). I love the delicious irony of Marley's version of the Ymir origin story that has her making a deal with the devil which turned the world into hell on earth, which then gets turned around when you realize that Eren is the one that convinces her to allow him to start the Rumbling which creates hell on earth. This is the same Eren that is a timeless being existing in the past, present and future all at once, so in a sense Eren IS the devil she made the deal with from the beginning. If King Karl Fritz was the 145th king, and there's been a 100 kings since, that's like 155 Users for 1 titan alone times 3 times 13 gives at least 6045 years of subconscious memories or I guess for Eren pre-Decleration of War 4030 which is still a lot.

Do you think him & Kenny are brothers, or something more distant like cousins?
On the point of the Ackerman power being activated, 24:45. Mikasa's mother was from the Azumabito clan. Her father an Eldian. Same with Kenny's mother and the rando Eldian that got her pregnant. Their children had mixed blood. Hence why Levi and Mikasa were present in the paths with every other Eldian. GOOD GOD imagine if Ymir was trying to tap into Levi. GG's
Imagine how sad it would be for Kenny once he injects himself with this serum to find out he can’t turn 😅 such a waste of the serum we wouldn’t be able to save Amin
I truly have no idea why they cut almost every intresting fact connected to the Ackerman mistery in the anime. Like we get these bits of Mikasa's awakening, clearly showing us that she has some special powers, then Levi mentions this sudden feeling of a power waking up, but Zeke says intresting things about the Ackemanns and those lines are just completely non existent for some reason.
Can anyone explain why would Eren see Frieda’s pov? I thought that the memories go between the attack titans not between founding titans, so he wouldn’t have access to Frieda’s pov. Am I wrong??
2 reasons: 1. Memory transfer from PAST holders of the titan is a universal trait for all shifters (that's why Bertolt asks the fake Ymir whether she has any of the jaw's memories etc), so Eren just inherits Freida's founding titan memories since he too has the founding titan. Attack titans have the unique memory of sending future memories to past holders - that doesn't play into that here. 2. The flow of time for founding titans is completely messed up with no beginning or end (that's why we have the whole talk about how Uri changed after he inherited the titan, and Eren also explicitly states that his perception of time is messed up in the finale). For Eren the second point is obviously more important - for him, this is a closed loop, he just doesn't know it yet at this point in the series.

I can't believe they never went into what the Ackerman's truly were in the anime. I had just accepted that it's a weird biologically magical world. But synthesized titan powers are WILD to think about. I could see how Isayama-Sama would wanna keep that element less explored. Especially that late into the series
AOT the first time through up to finishing season 3 confused me. I had to watch it again to understand what was going on. I was more mind blown the second time through
okay, I've stumbled on a random weird thing you may find interesting to look at theres a book called spinal catastrophism and a video on youtube rambling baout it the whole thing jumps between sceince, fringe theories, philosophical mindscrewery and complete pseudoscience nonsense like a pogostick but every word owuld make a fascianting fantasy story but also, I THOUGHT that I had stumbled on some unknown/rarely mentioned inspiration to isayama except the books from 2019 maybe he picked up on some of the same things the book continues on its insane and somewhat hilarious, might be worth checking out
Honestly, that might make for a pretty fun video (though you'd obvs have to ignore the fixed timeline part 😅). But I think the actual 'solution' would be extremely boring and just come down to exchanging diplomats, establishing some sort of mutual bases etc etc. 😂
I am the sentinel, the watchful eye that peers 'neath the veil of shadow, observing the watchers with an eagle's gaze. I am he who watches the watchers. I am keeper of secrets, the silent guardian who observes the world from the hidden depths of twilight.
Little late to the party but about the reasoning for whole parents not having awakened their powers... what about fight or flight response? Could they have had their awakening but their personal psychological response is to run so they never draw upon their powers properly? I mean assuming they knew some truth of their family's blood and power then why live secluded in the woods away from people? We're told it's due to persecution but what if it's really just running from conflict rather than fighting and using their hidden strengths?
I am curious if someone with the power of the attack titan were eaten by a royal with the founding titan could it break the vow considering what the attack titan does.
Will copy paste my response 😄 2 reasons: 1. Memory transfer from PAST holders of the titan is a universal trait for all shifters (that's why Bertolt asks the fake Ymir whether she has any of the jaw's memories etc), so Eren(or Freida or anyone else) just inherits Freida's founding titan memories since he too has the founding titan. Attack titans have the unique memory of sending future memories to past holders - that doesn't play into anything here. 2. The flow of time for founding titans is completely messed up with no beginning or end (that's why we have the whole talk about how Uri changed after he inherited the titan, and Eren also explicitly states that his perception of time is messed up in the finale). The founding titan is connected to all points in time, so memories of the future and past all bleed together (Uri called the rumbling, Freida saw Eren, Eren saw his "long dream" etc)
Karl Fritz is a subject of Ymir who made the oath called the vow renouncing war. Karl Fritz is not the same King Fritz who enslaved Ymir 2000 years ago.

Can anyone explain why would Eren see Frieda’s pov? I thought that the memories go between the attack titans not between founding titans, so he wouldn’t have access to Frieda’s pov. Am I wrong??
2 reasons:

I can't believe they never went into what the Ackerman's truly were in the anime. I had just accepted that it's a weird biologically magical world. But synthesized titan powers are WILD to think about.
I could see how Isayama-Sama would wanna keep that element less explored. Especially that late into the series
I simply think that the cabin vision is just eren showing of a possible alternate timeline to mikasa that never happened.
It's the Delicious in the Dungeon memes/stills FOR ME!!!.😅😂🤣😘
I have a cat. I love my cat. Cats are awesome!
AOT the first time through up to finishing season 3 confused me. I had to watch it again to understand what was going on. I was more mind blown the second time through
You should analyze peaky blinders I feel like you would do it so well
okay, I've stumbled on a random weird thing you may find interesting to look at
theres a book called spinal catastrophism
and a video on youtube rambling baout it
the whole thing jumps between sceince, fringe theories, philosophical mindscrewery and complete pseudoscience nonsense like a pogostick but every word owuld make a fascianting fantasy story
but also, I THOUGHT that I had stumbled on some unknown/rarely mentioned inspiration to isayama
except the books from 2019
maybe he picked up on some of the same things the book continues on
its insane and somewhat hilarious, might be worth checking out
One thing that’s not explained is: if Ymir creates the titans in the paths, who created her titan? Herself in the future?
✨Magic is magic and magic is cool, you don't need to explain everything ✨
I'll talk about the hallucigenia more when we get to it though 👍
I would be curious about the Optimal solution for this world IF you knew everything from the start.
Honestly, that might make for a pretty fun video (though you'd obvs have to ignore the fixed timeline part 😅).
But I think the actual 'solution' would be extremely boring and just come down to exchanging diplomats, establishing some sort of mutual bases etc etc. 😂
scare me? that was a sharp and loud fucking noise in the middle of the night in my HEADPHONES NEVER WATCHING AGAIN 6:34
Wait… how did he know I was eating? 👀
It was said that the father wasnt an Ackerman and it was just the mother and daughter
Ep 43 16:02. "... the Ackerman family, my dad's side..." from Mikasa herself.
Her mom is eastern, Mikasa is a mix of both.
Reiner bit his hand in the last fight.
yet another vid from my favourite fellow latvian
Don't be THAT Richard
I am the sentinel, the watchful eye that peers 'neath the veil of shadow, observing the watchers with an eagle's gaze.
I am he who watches the watchers. I am keeper of secrets, the silent guardian who observes the world from the hidden depths of twilight.
You should really read chapter 65 and 66 before doing the next episode, a lot of the details got cut in the anime!
Anytime you explain magic it immediately stops being magic and starts being science.
I am curious if someone with the power of the attack titan were eaten by a royal with the founding titan could it break the vow considering what the attack titan does.
Cats are cool 🗣️
Why would Frieda know the past? The founding Titan doesn't know the past. I thought only the Attack Titan had that ability.
Will copy paste my response 😄
2 reasons:
The founding titan is connected to all points in time, so memories of the future and past all bleed together (Uri called the rumbling, Freida saw Eren, Eren saw his "long dream" etc)
ig work can wait
"cavin" dies in "cave in," bravo isayama
biggest plothole = Fritz isn't a subject of Ymir... how does his oath affect Eldians when he isn't actually one himself?
Karl Fritz is a subject of Ymir who made the oath called the vow renouncing war. Karl Fritz is not the same King Fritz who enslaved Ymir 2000 years ago.
It’s been a day chop chop where’s the next one
cats are cool ^^
True and real
NOT THE CGI HORSES!!
