You are 100% correct - those who wear hair don't do it to look 'young', they do it to look like themselves. For many people, a shaved head is not who they are. They don't look like 'themselves' and don't recognise the person looking back at them. It's not a vanity thing, it's an identity thing. In a similar vein, for many folk they look great with a shaved head and their 'identity' is of a person with no hair, reardless of whether they could grow hair if they wanted to or not!
Hair is part of the integumentary system...basic functions include protection, regulation of body temperature, and facilitation of evaporation of perspiration. When you lose it the feeling is similar to losing an appendage for many, hair is a vital part of our physiological makeup
People who criticize others for wearing a hair system are just jealous they don't have the courage or means to do the same. They try to drag someone else down, to feel better. If they really had accepted balding and had "moved on" as they claim, they wouldn't get so emotional about the topic, or feel the need to spend any energy degrading others who have chosen a different path. I've learned to ignore people, and just do what's best for me. The truth is hair matters, and having it greatly improves perceptions of confidence, desirability and attractiveness. Notice I said perception. Others perceive you differently when you have hair, no matter what they claim in order to not feel shallow. Everyone is superficial to an extent and that's just life. No hair is more convenient. I do like the sun protection and look that hair gives me. I prefer to work out and sleep without hair. Sometimes if at home I don't wear hair. I will sometimes go out with a hat instead. I like to have the flexibility of have or have not. I like the flexibility hair gives me to change up my look. Now I have a shaved head and wear a full cap hair unit and I am married to a wife that accepts all this. I don't miss the bald jokes from people that are rude, think they are funny and really there is not one bald joke I have not heard several times. People who are not bald do not get to have an opinion on my baldness or my choice to wear hair. I do not think I look bad bald, and I don't have trouble accepting myself as I am. I just have preferences and a need for versatility. Thanks for listening to my rant. I am entitled since I have lived with this for 47 of my 66 years.
Ya, that was very rude. The jokes get very old very quickly. It always amazes me that people feel free to be so insensitive to things that others didn't choose and can't control and yet don't find it funny if you tease them about their style choices.@UCl1Ufrft9mqnB_06X5CjmEQ
@Steamed Hams I get mine through Gentshair. Google them. Have used them for several years. Only had minor problems that they have fixed. Only twice in many years. You can have your full cap done in any base type on the site but I use Midi-Cap and change the material to Swiss lace and ask for no metal stays at the side burn area. I make and send my own template. You can ask for your own style base also. they are flexible. I use synthetic hair but it is your choice. You can choose amount of curl. If you want some lace on front hairline just tell them how much or even folded lace. Maybe you want a silicone base or skin, they can do it all, just request in section for other details.

I don’t think anyone really wants to glue on a slab of hair daily to a bald irritated scalp, but seems like the only somewhat natural looking option in our fake society, that can add some confidence back until you have to rip the shit off and see the actual you in the mirror , but who has $15000 for some hair transplant that’s like growing chia seeds for years ,that might not even take , guess this hair system is the only fast gratification , what a hole to be stuck in, I rather loose a limb then to deal with this shit day in and day out .
Should I be prepared for the lows that come with systems? I know it’s gonna high at times but there are lows as well that could make me consider going bald.
The only lows are associated with the maintenance/clean up and if you get one that doesnt look good or you have an older one that takes longer To look good...u have To style them they dont always look natural when you get up in the morning usually matted..you have To make them look good/realistic
Getting my first hair system next week; I was just wondering, like when you talk about maintenance, just how bad is it? I have watched many of your videos, and I am subscribed; for the most part, you mention that most hair systems last 3 months tops; you have to visit a stylist every three weeks. But I am more considerate with the day today. How often do you have to take it off? Can you sleep with it on? Is putting it on just like a grab and go 10-minute thing, or do you spend an hour every morning adjusting it? I am now on the fence between hair transplant and hair system, figuring I would try this first before dropping 5k on the transplant and was curious about day to day life.
