Todos los que admirábamos a Shoko y a Van Dame nos sentimos halagados al ver que no eramos los únicos que los habían identificado como lo mejor del cine de karate
Great movie. I remember renting this and watching it like a thousand times before it had to be returned. I still think about who would really win in a fight between these too. When I was a young kid in the 80s I loved sho little bit more than van damn so I put my money on sho to win..lol..👍🏻 good time to be a kid with all these great movies.
I agree Kane Kosugi needs to start rebooting his father's old classic awesome Ninja movies and Ninja The Domination reboot with Amy Johnston as Christie Ryder and Kane Kosugi as Goro Yamada it could be BADASS
@@Grandmastergav86 But he is a better martial artist than Van Damme and others. He has hundreds of trophies too. His son Kane Kosugi though, is on an entirely different level than anyone I have seen in martial arts movies. His kicks make Van Damme look like a manatee.
Van Damme has stated this fight scene showcases all his move in a short span… That it’s his favorite to view of all his fights. I like but my favorite is Lionheart vs Atilla
Sho Kosugi Vs Vandamme at the height of their prime and popularity...wish they did more movies together am a big fan of both..Kosugi, especially for revolutionizing the Ninja craze in the late 80's and early 90's and Vandamme for his unique martial arts fighting skills and movies also in the 80's and 90's..black eagle is a good movie...although the fight scenes were too short between the two they shoulda made the fight scenes longer in my opinion..still a good movie nonetheless.
two year old comment, but very much agree. in my mind, sho kosugi was an absolute ninja. there was none better as a ninja. awesome actor and martial artist.
I know "OBVIOUSLY", but there have been many, many, MANY martial artists who aren't even in the same realm of athleticism as Van Damme! Now, please don't take that and think I'm saying he's the best martial artist ever or anything like that. I'm strictly talking athleticism...his balance is out of this world!
Esta escena de combate, no se compara ni en sueños, con la de Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris en 1973 :en el coliseo romano. Norris y Lee eran de un nivel superior en artes marciales
True that, but then again shooting him in the head be too easy and over in less than a second, grabbing the wooden stick however to toy with the opponent, Andre likes to play 😎
Hello, I want to find Mr. Shô Kosugi movie, as a supporting role, ancient European warrior, protecting a princess, both samurai duel, Mr. Shô Kosugi in the film with a spear.
Kind of funny how they both did the same thing...dived into water away from the other but yes it sucked how Andre died,it would of been cool if he lived
For dose of us who lived through the 80s watching this legends in their prime. We will never realize how fortunate we were.
Joseph Reese
Some will. Now the stars aren’t so good as they used to be
Some of us know, sir. Back then they didn't have CGI to rely on.
Shoot I do. Do you see any movies being produced like this? Nope that's why we are still watching! 😄
First brush with a man called Van Damme.
So the 80s people cant spell "those"??
No CGI, no crazy animations, no unnecessary cheesy one-liners; just straight up fighting. I miss the 80’s and 90’s.
« Unnecessary cheesy one liners » goes to my citation book
Van Damme looks and acts really good when he was young. A perfect antagonist
The original "Predator".
Agreed!
I think he still acts good now, just not as handsome.
I saw this scene in ski village burger joint as a kid in the 80s. He scared the shit out of me…
@@lewdogrlew860 glad they removed him from that movie a 5' 10" predator wouldn't have played out that well.
How fortunate we are to see this two legends.. I can say of all , this is my favorite scene ...
Fighting as if one dances ballet! That's what sets Van Damme apart from everyone else...he had that "swag" embedded in his karate skills.
Van Damme kicks look so fluid and smooth back in da day
I was a huge Sho Kosugi fan as a kid. How did I never see this movie?
It's good I was I big fan too
Thats what i was thinking
To busy watching his ninja movies
Its free on TH-cam
I don't think itcwas his best one.I loved his ninja movies growing up
...And from that split, the character Johnny cage was born
k2datrack 1980’s Sho Kosugi ninja has been past due as a Mortal Kombat character since MK3.
from that split i can say that suit is incredible material
Lol
He always does that and the silly knee lifting.
EXACTLY.
Best part about the fight was VD’s legendary split.
Ultimate boss way to evade a roundhouse kick 😅
Followed by Sho smiling, clearly impressed by the skills of the Van Damage 👌
Todos los que admirábamos a Shoko y a Van Dame nos sentimos halagados al ver que no eramos los únicos que los habían identificado como lo mejor del cine de karate
A Black Eagle reboot with Kane Kosugi/Alain Moussi it could be EPIC.

That was AWSOME!!!!!!!!!!THANKS FOR POSTING!
This was my first JCVD movie, Childhood memories.
Too bad Kosugi and Van Damme didn't do more movies together. Sho Kosugi for Expendables 3!
he was in ninja assassin
would be dope for the next opus
@@lutchdomanengroomupadiachy7281 i agree maybe a Black Eagle reboot with Kane Kosugi/Alain Moussi.
Van damme was not a loveable guy he went overboard with hitting his opponents in filming. They actually faught with Kosugi while filming
Lol
BLACKEagle! That was a great fight!I never seen it!I saw it two weeks ago! THANX FOR UPLOADING
Good fight. Love both these dudes. Sho was the best movie ninja ever.
35yrs have gone by and still want to be a ninja
Brings back memories. Now I have to find this movie and watch the whole thing!

VD is badass when playing the villain
True masters like Sho Kosugi and Bruce lee are never forgotten!!!
His son was kicking butt with him in Revenge of the Ninja also...
L'élégance de Van Damme dans les mouvements est sans comparaison.
This is and will be a great film. Black Eagle. Both are very good martial artists. 👍 😊❤
Revenge of the ninja is a sho kosugi classic.
I agree Kane Kosugi needs to start rebooting his father's old classic awesome Ninja movies and Ninja The Domination reboot with Amy Johnston as Christie Ryder and Kane Kosugi as Goro Yamada it could be BADASS
Buena la pelicula pero es por van damme que vale la pena mirarla
The movie is not so good, but seeing these two legends fight...it was awesome!!And Van Damme was so thin and young, shit,i'm old😂
Epic! we were very fortunate to see these two action heroes in one movie, i remember back then i was really happy when this movie was released!
this is my favourite van damme fight of all time.two legends going at it
i used to always watch these movies when i was little
When one of the fighters picks up a weapon (in this case, the board), you know he's the bad guy and he's almost certainly going to lose.
Sho Kosogi’s little smirk at :42 like “ohhhh you got moves huh”
La elegancia define por completo que tan disciplinado eres al luchar
Headbutt to the back and that elbow follow up really tickled Sho
Would love to watch this movie in its entirety
It's cheesy and silly. Horrible acting. It's NOT good.
Sho did not fight as good in this movie as he did in his other movies he was way better than what you saw in Black Eagle.
I've watched hundreds of great martial arts films - I've never been impressed by his technique overly, he was fantastic in The Master though.
@@Grandmastergav86 But he is a better martial artist than Van Damme and others. He has hundreds of trophies too. His son Kane Kosugi though, is on an entirely different level than anyone I have seen in martial arts movies. His kicks make Van Damme look like a manatee.

I remember watching this movie a few times when I was a kid back in the early 90s but didn't remember it was Sho and Van Damme as rivals.
Glad I do karate and Kickboxing ❤ Nice villain like 👍 Van Damme
It was a great fight scene between Sho Kosugi and JCVD. JCVD's Andrei is a mysterious and ruthless KGB officer, a right-hand man to the KGB colonel.
Sho Kasugi was that dude. A legendary NINJA!
I would like to express my gratitude to jean Claude van damme ,I appreciate all his films What type of film does has this time..
I love jcvd he is best karate and kickboxer fighter and best body muscle
two master´s two legend´s
流石ショーコスギさんと、バンダムさんお互いに空手の使い手同士で、手に汗握る対戦ですね
Thank you for the video 😎
👍👍 en iyi dövüş sahnelerindendi
Old johnny cage vs. Kung Lao aka Van Damme vs. Sho Kosugi
Hell yeah
Classic match up
Sho Kosugi would make a great Sub-Zero or Scorpion, since he always played an ninja role in almost every films.
I know people used to say Bruce Lee was the obvious inspiration for Liu Kang but for me he LOOKS like Sho.
Hell fuck yeah.
00:35 I'm Jean Claude Van Damme and I always have to do a split!
Bah oui, quelle belle scène de Karaté.
Sho had better moves than what you see in this movie.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ great martial arts movie of 80s.
Run!!! I'd run from a young JCVD too! haha
what a fight...wish if they fight again in another movies...
Yeah, it's slow and stilted.
Glamorous Van Damme in this Film
Love van damme 💪🏽💞👊🏾
Van Damme completely outclassed this guy.
Sho kosugi is the guy who should have played Mr miyagi in the karate kid movies
Oh yeah? Pat morita fucked him over or what?
Man..youtube is time travel machine this movies i seen in early 90s
I like actor japan Sony Chiba, Yasuaki Kurata and Sho Kosugi.
Malta - Fort Ricasoli 💙
Sho Kosugi: Gotta Go; …..but I ain’t done with you yet. Pretty Boy!!!!
Van Damme: I’m looking forward to it. Old man!!!!

I like but my favorite is Lionheart vs Atilla
This is up there with Bruce Lee vs Chuck Norris
Sho Kosugi still looking good. I thought he was older than that. He was great in that Rutger Hauer film.
Blind fury
De villano lo hace genial 😎👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
How did nobody put these two charisma factories together again?
Sho Kosugi met his match in the form of Van Damme....! good movie.
Both my fav martial artist!
Cette scène de combat, me rappelle beaucoup mes combat dans les Cirques. Bien oui j'ai pratiqué les Arts Martiaux, pour me défendre.
Underrated film.
One of childhood favorite!!!!
my favorite on screen fight right here. this fight right here is like the chuck norris and bruce lee movie fight to me..

Kosugi and Van Damm! The Ninja vs The Pretty Boy.
Those kids are Kosugi's real sons. Kane and Shane Kosugi.
ah ,that's why they appear in "Pray for death" as well. same kids
They both competed on Ninja Warrior I believe too.

SHO kosugi brought ninjas to the big screen similarly to what Bruce lee did with kung fu.When i think ninja i think Sho kosugi
The making of Alex in Double Impact.
2 LEGENDS there..
In real life, Sho, hands down.
Two legends...😎
I’m no zoologist but are there any Black eagles?
Really I'm Japanese. I was my daddy's favorite.
Who wants to go home, and who wants to go with MEEE?
It's only two stars that I remember spectators watched and went on outside to try and practice their moves: JCVD and Michael Jordan

He fights Van Damme again at the end of the movie but what happens to Van Damme sucks lol.
I know what you mean, sucks how he died, I was disappointed to, but oh well sometimes the bad guy has to die
Kind of funny how they both did the same thing...dived into water away from the other but yes it sucked how Andre died,it would of been cool if he lived
Yeah cops a kick to the back of the head when he turns around doesn't he? Cheap shot if I remember. It's been a while since I've seen it
Don't forget how good shou was good in blind fury
You kick his ass Van Damme! You're always the good guy in my books...
In 1987 Van Damme through a kick to my face. He missed on purpose and it was cool.
