This first dude Van Damme fights is like an anime villain. All flamboyant with his cowboy boots and spurs, jumping in and out of the shadows like a total boss.
Not anybody can survive a sneak attack like that. That first kick with spurs on the boots would bust you open and you would be laid out and then he'd kill you.
Bolo Yeung is a marvellous in martial arts. His half naked body is always attracted to his fans. Further, his style of fighting, facial expression and other body gestures are impressive, as evident in the movie "Enter The Dragon" while fighting with Han's security guards. Sadly to mention, we are prevented to see his fight with Bruce Lee in any movies thereafter due to untimely demise of Bruce Lee. Anyhow, Bolo is powerful artist in his field.
Hell yeah! He's 70 years old and he still can beat anyone. And actually he wasn't Bruce Lee's student, he met him in a commercial shoot, and became friends and as friends they learn so much of each other before Lee died. And remember that even so, Bolo builded Brandon's Lee body for a movie.
Second that. He could be a real clown at times in certain scenes from different movies,one of them being this one that you're talking about. I laugh it out loud when he starts doing those silly acts. Weird yet hilarious.

The sequel imaginatively titled shootfighter 2was used as a vehicle to promote William Zabka of the Karate Kid movie and Cobra Kai series fame.
