Today we are talking all about the hot side of the turbo! How do you get exhaust gases to the turbo so it can spin and suck in all that cool air? Hearing about how a manifold works was the best part of this episode. I have always liked top mount and how they look but I understand why low mount is preferred by OEMs. Good work today sir and I am excited for episode 3. Oh and rev that engine more without an exhaust, LOL.
It’s always a pleasure watching the Mita improve every week. Crazy how much knowledge Zach passes down. I’m trying to learn more about how to improve my car and getting inspired by the Mita build. I’m excited to see what happens after the six weeks are finished

Zach is SO good as a presenter. Perfect balance of energetic and informative. It's like the way used car and home DIY shows used to be on TV. I love it so much.
I also enjoy that there isn't a bunch of overt euphemism humor. I'm a big fan of some comically suggestive humor from Pumphrey on Up to Speed but this show I can watch with my dad and know his older generation sensibilities won't be offended. 😎 nice to have a DIY show to watch with my dad again.

You need to get a different oil drain line. The cx racing one has caused my fires. It is very low quality and breaks apart

-throw away blow off valve now and get a different Greddy BOV, it will break quick
-oil feed and return lines should be replaced with -an fittings
-the CXracing intercooler is the good part of the kit

Pretty much anything you add to your car in California that doesn't have an approved EO number is illegal. They are very strict on vehicle emissions.

the manifold is a part that makes up an exhaust and it makes sense, it is a newer part than the Factory and swapped exhaust parts

Reminds me of my beginnings... only my beginnings were in late 80s. In Canada. Meaning no Internet, so very limited access to information. First car I modified was a Mazda 323GTX. That was so much fun. But my most fun to drive build was my Suzuki Swift GTI. Now that was a real sleeper. Just can't remember how many times I got asked what motor I swapped in, when in reality it was still running the original engine, but modified. Fun times.

Pop flick jump
Keep your shoulders over the trucks through out the trick. Pop the tail as you flick the edge of your board with the lip of the soul of your shoe by your toes. Look for the grip tape and let it flip and hit the bottom of your shoe and land it. Practice putting your feet at different spots before you pop the board and see what works best. If the board isn’t staying under you. See step #1.

Making your own manifold can also be an option depending on your skill set, you just need to have some creativity and some heavy planning, as well as a basic welding knowledge!
I love it! If you guys can, add in the tuner portion and what it takes in order to make a “good” and reliable tune and what steps to take and consider

No, it’s not necessary for the cop to look on the engine bay as what will you be hiding there I’m sure they won’t as well because what is in there in the first place so... yeah no, cops never look under the hood only the trunk
