in this video I will share with you how to remove and replace front brake pads and brake rotors on a Mercedes E350 #BrakePads #BrakeRotors #BrakeCaliper #BrakeDisc
Very good video IMO. K doesn't use an impact wrench to break the calipers loose at first, uses a torque wrench as well as anti-seize, and double-checks everything afterwards. I saw another comment about replacing the rotors, particularly these cross-drilled rotors, and there's a few comments I have about that: - It's not easy to find a shop that turns rotors anymore let alone knowing how to turn cross-drilled rotors unless you want to be without your vehicle for a few days. - The interior side of this rotor was ground into fairly bad. - Buying new cross drilled rotors is generally the smarter option as opposed to being unsure about a Mechanic's ability to turn a rotor. Most of us are watching this video to do it ourselves , save a few bucks, and do it right. Taking a MB to the dealership or a mechanic is a luxury for some whereas we're here to make sure that we mechanically inclined people don't miss anything. Thanks K!
Thank you sir. I would only request that in the future you point out the size of the tools that you’re using so that we can prepare for the job ahead of time. But bravo thank you so much.
What model allows you to install only one pad into the caliper and then putting the caliper onto the rotor?? BTW, those two caliper slider bolts are supposed to be tightened to only 18 foot pounds.
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair I have an E350, and it's not possible to fit the second pad into the calipers once the caliper is affixed onto the bracket.
I love how you explain everything right in detail! Thank you very much I really appreciate the video! I like to always be in the know instead of going in blind!
Great video. The only one that I found helpful. Most did not match my brake system. Can I jack my 2017 e550 Cabriolet from the rear differential in order to place jack stand in the proper location? I do not have a lift.
Hello my dear friend, I have a Mercedes W211 E350 model 2006. Is it possible to change the brakes without programming a computer? I am honored by you. We follow you from Benghazi, Libya
ابوز يوسف what do you mean by programming the computer? I believe there isn't a computer reset procedure after you replace the front pads! besides erasing the brake wear message on the dash, and that might even go off by itself after you replace the sensors
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair sir. I just brought a 2014 E350. What is your opinion of the vehicle in regards to longevity. I am the 2nd owner. 123K miles.
Brake pads & rotor makes? Defenitely not MB😝😝 At what kms has the car came in for rotor replacement? Please provide such info in your video description.
I love how this explains every steps to ensure that it's done correctly for when I'm ready to change mine💪🙂

Do you have a Video on how to change the front strut and spring assembly on this vehicle?

I like fixing my car with friends or someone I knew I don’t want to fix in the shop or dealers they charge too much money
@PhatSphouthalansy Lol!! Some shops are out of control!!
