    Great video! Which scan tool are you guys using? I like how it connects directly to your phone.

    What did have to do with the scanner before and after changing the brakes?

    • @autodocuk
      @autodocuk  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The scanner detects if there are no errors in the brake system.
      check before a replacement for errors and after replacement to eliminate errors / electronic wear sensors are disabled during replacement.

      @@autodocuk should the sensors be reset by a scanner after replacement? Or do the messages go away automatically when you replace them?

      @@autodocuk I think you'll find your tech was disabling the SBC pump. That's a standard part of doing a brake change on an SBC-equipped Mercedes. Otherwise you can end up with the system applying the brakes as you are working on them... The joys of having the most advanced braking system ever fitted to a car!

    I have done this job before but instead of going through all of the processes of disabling the SBC I just unplugged it.

      How did you do it? Did you just remove the relee?

      @@Tryingmybestsince1999 Not a relay. Just on the rear of the SBC pump unit (the one with each individual brake line going to each wheel), you will see a large connector about 10cm long and 2 cm wide. Pull on the top handle tab to unlock and allow it to pull back and disconnect (all of it including the tab is part of the plug, don´t break it).

    Good videos but the background music is annoying, repetitive, and distracting. On screen graphics get in the way sometimes too.
