Very instructive video. It would be good if you mentioned what the tool dimensions you use in the video. You said the tool size one time in the beginning of the video. Otherwise, thanks for a good video!
You could have left the caliper bolt in and just took the two bracket bolt out. When you compress the piston back in to remove the brake pads you just can slide the new ones back in. You just added a step you did not have to do.
HI Excellent video. I am having difficulty removing the rotor, hand brake off, but in park mode. Is it the case of just giving the back of the rotor a good old smack to release it? 🙂
Hi Good Video! Nice place and perfect clarity. I am changing my rear brakes today and saw that your clips are not properly installed. The arms in the clip need to be on the opposing face of the mounting bracket which is how my E350 has it on the original brake setup (which is still in my car). I have a picture of it and I will figure out how to upload. I'm not TH-cam savvy but I will do my best to get the picture uploaded. The way you have it in your video does not provide the required preload to the caliper. The clip are can also impede the outer pad motion. Please check other sources. Otherwise excellent video!
Jeff Kezerian Thank you! and thanks for your feedback, the clip on the caliper was corrected but sadly my camera battery was dead when I rearranged it!
Good job my men. I am hoping they Lubricate my brakes pads like you do off Camara. I like the job you do, I am hoping you do it the same off Camara. The greasing part of it I am talking about.
Good video. Changing rotors/pads is much easier on MB than on VW with their stupid tripple-square bolts and next to impossible to reach location for DIYer. EPB is another drama to deal with.
My Mercedes glasses 2014 still need two things changing head gasket brake pad and rotor and I can drive so I knew that cost a lot money more than $2000
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair That spring is definitely in the wrong position. I hope you corrected it before the customer picked up the car. Compare the spring position at 19:56 vs 4:05 and you will see.

I sure am glad I found this video... I had no idea the rear caliber bolts were hex bolts!

jaybo107 2019 Oh you meant detaching the caliper from the bracket? what about if your caliper pins are frozen?
@@KITS_Auto_and_Truck_Repair good question haven’t came across that one yet. Usually get a lot of front rotors being Frozen.
@@jaybo107 ah ok! Sometimes the caliper pins freeze!!
he was replacing the rotor as well
Awesome video and good followup comments from viewers as well. If that were my vehicle I would do both rear brakes same time.

@HM-ke1qm you don't have to!
On the caliber bracket what size bolts are they mm
@1973ggraves I Believe they were 19mm or 21mm
