Gosh we have a lot in common. I'm glad you're putting together your PTA 6DOF before I do mine. I'll be able to come to you for help! LOL I'm so glad your documenting and sharing the build! It looks great! I'm putting you on a prayer list. We're going to need all the help we can get.
Shame you didn’t see the Iron man paint scheme on the low slider by a company called Race at home. Truly amazing and you don’t need a step ladder to get in it either. Full 7 DOF also. Honestly if your thinking of buying a high end motion rig, you really ought to check them out.
Sick build!! Hopefully one day I’ll be able to add motion to mine. Just swapped the 32’s for 48’s and what an incredible difference that was in itself.
i like the monitors mounted on the rig. i have the same on mine but i went from triples down to a single ultrawide + vr. I think im gonna back to triples.. very nice build man. this hobby is expensive you and i have the same thoughts.. buy once cry once 😂
@@markbooth yea the triples + vr is kinda meh, because eventually you run out of display outputs. Hence why i went with the 49 ultrawide and monitor is great when ya got friends over vr is boring for the bystanders
Great stuff can't wait to see it going I am running a Gforcefactory 6 dof very compact and it does the job for me triple 42" on 50 degrees yours are on 60? I do like your content keep it up!
@@AeroVeloce I see, thank you for the quick reply! I didn't get mine from pt actuators so I guess I will try find some alternative solutions. Also I know you were using a 3090 to drive the 3 48" OLEDs, I am going to do the same thanks to your awesome videos so wondering have you made the 4090 upgrade and if so how much FPS improved with the new card?
@@HugBear505 i do have a 4090 now. I have some videos showcasing the difference in performance with the 3090. If you could get a 4090 it’s definitely worth it for these screens but a 3090 still does a decent job.
I don't have the balls to put 20k+ worth of shiny shit in my garage for some ground pounding miscreant to break through my flimsy ass garage door after watching me pull my 60 thousand dollar vehicle in there as well. Let me know how it goes!!!! Hopefully nothing bad happens..
I'm also running triple 48 oleds and integrated mount. What I've worked out to be a solution for supporting the side monitors is by using steel cable under tension. So your centre monitor, have that mounted with taller profiles, enough to mount your overhead monitor onto. What you do then is bolt in an anchor at the top of the rhs centre monitor profile, and then to the rhs monitor profile, and then from the rhs monitor profile to the bottom of your rig. So you want the cable to be tensioned both from the top to the side and the bottom to the side. Use a turn buckle for tensioning it. It works like a suspension bridge. Opposising equal forces from the cable to keep it fixed in place. It's light, not really noticeable and not intrusive. A 5mm stainless steel cable can support like almost a tonne of weight, the aluminium profile and the insert nuts will give way before the cable
I think I have a good understanding of how you have it set up but if you could send me pictures on instagram or discord that would be greatly appreciated. I was thinking of using a super long end link type design similar to chassis supports used in real cars but your idea sounds a lot simpler and cheaper haha.
6:50 those are a huge pain. We deal a lot with 80/20 at work building various things. I threw all of those bolts away. (recycled)

Monitors mounted to the rig 😅 GL
Thanks, I’ll need it!
Dude, this was totally engrossing. Can't wait to see the final setup. Gonna be SICK! 🎉

The hole just keeps getting deeper lol
Out of curiosity why do you still need three monitors when you have VR? I can’t drive in 2D anymore so don’t bother with monitors.

@@blacknovella ah yes that’s true when other people are round. 2D racing just feels so old now though and I can’t do it anymore.
Awesome space man! How long have you been sim racing?

What kinda of power draw does the motion system require? Curious to know if you need it on its own circuit and then another for the pc equipment?
I’m not sure on the power draw and didn’t see any specs on their website for it. But I’ll find out soon enough if I run into any problems.
Hey man, sick setup! Curious what is the housing you are using for all the servo motor controllers?
Thanks! It comes with the pt actuator system.

How do you keep the garage cool in the summertime? I’m doing this to my garage but damn it’s hot in the summer.
