1:17 correction Logitech Pro is a DD wheel, also the wheel you are using is most likely a G920 which is gear driven. [G923 would have a blue ring]

    • @515PPF
      @515PPF 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +5

@@gangstahhh The Logitech DD feels good but IMO there are better options for the money. The Logitech ecosystem also seems dead. Other than a shifter no options for a different wheel style. Consider the Moza R12 wheelbase with Moza KS wheel is $840. Add in Moza CRP pedals for %460 and total Moza setup is $1300. Logitech Pro DD is $1000 + Logitech G Pro pedals $349 the total is $1349. With Moza you can also change the wheel and they have a good assortment of accessories-shifter, handbrake. Maybe Logitech will have more wheels in the future. The worse part about the G Pro for me is the location of the rotary knobs. The left one more awkward than the right one. As a racer that may adjust brake bias for different corners the angle and location of this knob meant I had to move my hand longer than on other wheels or not at all as some wheels this adjustment is a thumb wheel.

there is plastic made to fill those aluminium groove, usually for cnc to not collect to much dust, but it could make it look more finished and hide the grub screw mark. Usually it's called v-slot cover, the only issue would be to find the right colour.

Love seeing the sim racing stuff on the channel. You REALLY need to give some oval racing a chance in iRacing. It gets really intense and is very fun. I have a Simagic Alpha Ultimate and I love it. Having over 20nm of torque sounds like overkill but it’s nice to have that extra dynamic range for those things that give sharp jolts like curbs and wrecks. Plus the stronger motors tend to have more detail in the smaller effects too. I also have the Sprint pedals and they have been great but I think I’m going to try the Simagic P1000 pedals next with the hydraulic brake and the actuators for traction control, ABS, and such. Nothing like turning off the lights in a triple monitor rig and doing some wheel to wheel racing.

Just made the switch from sprints to p1000 hydraulics myself. Loving them so far and the ease of dialing in the brake feel with their elastomer set up is waaay better. Out of the box their clutch was way too light but once you tighten up the preload it feels fine. I do think the sprints do the bite point feel better, but it's the least used pedal so I don't mind.

I just dropped $5k on a Simagic rig. I think this hobby is really going to take off this year. I hope we see some more simcade games with great physics, like GT7, with fun career modes to get people the skills to compete as well as fun muliti-player. It's a lot more forgiving and enjoyable than dropping into Assetto Corso and failing constantly (though they have a new career mode as well I've learned). The real issue with sim racing games is the massive player drop-off after launch, it seems long term sim racers always trend back to the old tried and true games rather than the new stuff. I really hope next year has some great stuff because this year forza, wrc and the crew were all pretty disappointing on launch for all the hype they had. I have hope for wrc but knowing how long it took dirt 2.0 to get to where its at and the fact that it's more fun has me trending back to the old tried and true whenever I boot up the pc.

I don't have the green version, but that monitor stand is a pretty good deal. For the price of a typical 80-20 single monitor stand, TK Racing offers a triple stand. All the benefits of it being an aluminum extrusion stand, meaning you can mix and match different MFG's parts if you wanted. Sim-lab's Xero play hinges, custom plates and even proprietary parts from Simracing Cockpits will fit and work like a charm. Its a steal at what TK Racing is asking

Got into sim racing a little earlier this year and I’m already about $11k deep in the hobby, between the profile rig, wheel set up and 4090 PC plus 1440p triples. No regrets at all though, it’s brought back a lot of love for gaming and PCs for me, next on the list is the PSVR2 for gt7.
Really wish there was a bit more console compatibility with the wheelbases though, I ended up having to go fully fanatec just so I could also have PlayStation compatibility. Love the gear I have a lot, but it would have been nice to have some higher end options for pedals, a shifter, and certain steering wheels.

More SimRacing and Sim content for the non-car people would be interesting, even if only discussing it with site pictures. As a Canadian, I was wondering if Micro Center is going to expand to North of the 49th? We have Best Buy & WalMart as our big box stores, in the prairies, at least. Due to the pandemic, the specialty shops for computer hardware mostly dried up, with the only ones remaining being corporate suppliers. Keep up the great content, and thank you.

I have the Sim lab Xp-1 pedals, they really are fantastic and going under the radar at the moment. I have the Asetek wheelbase (love it) and really wanted the asetek pedals but they just didn't match up to the XP1's. Would be great to have stores like this in the UK.
    Loved the vid guys👍👍👍

The G29 was actually cutting edge when it was first introduced. Probably close to 10 years ago. I anticipated it at the time in the same way most people do with fanatec now 😅 It boasted helical cut gears that eliminated the gear mesh sound created by straight cut gears. I was stunned a few months ago when I started looking at what's available on the market now. But it made me feel good to see that what I have is still sold. So now it's considered entry level.
Just recently found you. They're about to build a Micro Center where I live, and in the past two days your videos have gotten my anticipation up

That was a Logitech G923 on display which is basically a G920/G29 with trueforce and they are all gear driven which is notchy, the Logitech PRO Racing wheel which was in the bigger boxes on the right and also has trueforce but is direct drive, also pedals can either use potentiometers or load cells for the brakes which can also make a huge difference in pressure required, consistency and realism

There's force feed back that goes the extra mile. servo four post and helmet force. It move your head to simulate g-force. Super cool. Or slide axis movements too. 4dof degrees of freedom

Don't use NV Surround for triples! Almost every sim these days support independent triples for a proper FOV for each individual monitor. A quick search and you'll find the proper settings.

I bought a Thrustmaster T150 used on fb marketplace with no clutch or shifter. But it does have flappy paddle shifters on the wheel. It works for desk mount with American truck sim, assetto corsa, forza etc.

You should pay more attention while building....the damage on the profile is not because you tightened the screws but because the screws you used were too long.
Look in the instruction manual, they should state the length of the screws needed for each step of assembly.
Like the rig but I prefer the Sim Lab P1X...
Ps. you will love that GSI wheel :)

  • @JDinkleberg

you should move the E stop to be near your feet. If you get caught up in your wheel it will be hard to use your hands to hit the button where as you could just smash it with your foot.

I was shopping Sim rigs at the Tustin Micro Center a few days ago also. I was looking hard at the TK Racing P1 Pro Rig they have there. It is the same as the Sim Labs P1X Pro that is otherwise very hard to get here in the US. The only things I didn’t like about it were the color and the angled uprights. I felt they might limit mods in the future. In the end I went with a local company called Racing Cockpits Out of North County San Diego. I’ve been very impressed with their pro rig so far. Funny, I almost bought those open box pedals as well, but ended up getting the 2 pedal set instead. I also bought three of those same LG monitors, although I was prepared for the issue with the placement of the inputs. I had my son 3D print me 20 mm thick VESA spacers, and then bought 90 degree DisplayPort adapters. Big pain, but the monitors are IPS and have good specs for sub $300. It is really lame where LG places the inputs on the Ultragear monitors. Anyway, I’m waiting for a few last minute bits and cables and will hopefully have the red completed today. Good luck with yours as well!
