When it comes to cornering, you'd better be a very good motorcycle driver. It's easy to pull over 1G in a sports/supercar all the way up tot 1.3G (even beyond in some rare cases), WITHOUT (semi-)slicks. I don't know if you actually own a superbike, but I'd say you try pulling that kind of G's in one! Yes they can, it's not for the faint of heart though.
This is without question the most amazing sound I have ever heard. Just a clean straight rev to clutch, and no bullshit on the actual gear change. The person driving the 'vette KNOWS how to drive and race. Well done.

I know the owner of this car, in fact both of our cars are in the Nov 05 Vette Magazine article. I guess I'm lucky enough to own both a TT Vette and a Busa. The owner of this car has his car setup to pull to 200mph per hour, stock 99 Busa did over 200mph, both are impressive.

I've run a best of 203.1 at the Mojave mile. The car now has a stroked 418 LS3 with a Paxton supercharger making around 800 RWHP! The lambo had a few hundred less HP, hence the gap! The last run with the Busa was a close race, and not officially started. I did pull toward the end, but the busa may not have been in the optimal gear. My car has now pulled on a few different busas in it's present form.
Its obviously a busa, the stacked headlights and embedded turn signals make it painfully obvious. The busa wasn't racing, it was following to confirm who won.
what you just saw was a preview to "King of the Streets II" from fulltiltlife. That purple supercharged corvette was in the first dvd and it is a work of art. Obviously it doesn't just have a charger slapped on to it but it's making "Quality" hp as opposed to huge numbers. I've seen stock or light modded bus's and literbikes eat 800hp cars and other similar modded bike get eaten by 700hp cars. Not all machines perform the same be it engine condition or the pilots abilities.

actually the build for a C5 to get over 2,000bhp would probably only cost $100 grand including the C5 Z06 to build it in. $50,000 for the car and $50,000 for the build including tune, TT's, drivetrain, suspension and chassis support

I've jumped in here once or twice, but since this vid is still going, I thought I might comment again. I'm the driver of the vette and the one who shot and edited the video, someone has grabbed it... Here is the truth: Busa hung back on first run to get both the lambo and the supercharged C5 in the video. He had a camera on the bike, and we were shooting for a dvd. The C5 had a built 346 motor with Vortech Supercharger, making about 700 RWHP. Slow shifts are due to faulty Tranny install

I found the site you got your information from, but those have to be theoretical figures based on the dynomometer analysis (1.4s 0-60). I don't think it's physically possibly to put that kind of power to the ground--even on a rig like that.
That particular Hyabusa lost, it's driver wasn't scared. If it was a "Turbo" Hyabusa though, the outcome would have been a little different. Either way, awesome Corvette....!

Nice vid but need to get those shifts ALOT faster for sure. I counted almost a 1 sec delay in each shift. If you were in the 1/4, thats an eternity worth of time between shifts.

This video is not fake. It is an 800+ horsepower supercharged LS1 Corvette with methanol injection intercooling , among other things. It has reached 200 mph since this video was made (documented with video). This car is well known in the Vette enthusiast community, and known to be as fast as this video demonstrates.
looks like antolope valley ive ran my speedo past 220- buried it .wind resistance is the key busa cuts like a knife more stable at 185 then 160 you can feel bike lower itself as speed increases.

The Vette pulls away for approx. 12 seconds. Watching this video all the way through you'll also notice that at no time does the Busa even get in front of the Vette. Since the cameras mounted on the car don't give you a very good field of view I'll say that, at most, there is about a 20 ft zone on the side of the car that the Busa could be in. Good points. Still, I doubt any of those were factors in the 'Busa losing. The Vette was supercharged after all... and at those speeds horsepower becomes more and more important compared to power/weight ratio.

My only beef with the zr1 is most people cant tell the difference between the c6 for like 50k and 100k zr1. Spice that shit up, all vettes look the same. I don't want to spend a 100k on a car and see it on every block.
that is very true, i've seen street bikes that can out sprint some prostock drag cars. But listen to the corvette! 1. it definetly not stock, 2. the race started from a roll, (so the bike looses the lightning start)
The busa would win if it were stock vs stock or if it were mod vs mod. Now if you have a modded vette/lambo, it will win the stock busa. Also, the rider makes a world of difference. If they dont shift properly they will get smoked no matter what they are riding/driving. A lot of people are either hard core bike fans or hard core car fans but the truth of the matter is in a fair matchup on a straight (stock vs stock or mod vs mod) a bike wins every time on curves or track car wins.
yeah im with you if the busa's front end stays down then they're not on the throttle at all! i rode one and one twist and it pulled rightup. they cant drive anything hear how slow the shifts were in the vette?
It's not a bike issue, but a driver issue. I love cars as much as the next person, but hell, most 250cc bikes would accelerate faster than pretty much any car fit for driving on the street. A Hayabusa? It would be out of sight before the Lambo/Vette reached 60mph, if it were driven by an experienced driver.
I'm going to call bullshit. 2000hp would only be useful on a drag strip, even then all the busa needs is a set of drag tires. That busa would run 140 through S-turns easy while your "friends" monte carlo would be struggling for any sort of traction.
Impressive vehicles. Although, the comparison of stock to a non stock makes no sense to me. Run a modded Hayabusa versus a modded Corvette and that would be rational. Its like comparing apples to oranges.

The busa would smoke both of those if they started accelerating from 0, and since that was a stock busa, it's top speed is limited, if the limitations would be taken off, it's go another 30-40mph faster without any other modifications...
Vette does not "pull" on the Busa until the very end when the Vette is most likely doing 195+ as it stated against the Lambo which is faster than the top speed factory limit of 186 for the Busa. Still... it is an impressive car.
Well not that the corvette isn't bad...but just curious why you decided to start the busa race in 3rd gear on the bike (when 3rd gear is good for 115 mph-142 mph and I'm pretty sure you were going slower than that. Reason for the 3rd gear run in the hayabusa...so the front tire doesn't lift off the ground, get someone that can actually ride the motorcycle.
I own a 2008, Red Crystal Corvette, and I've smoked alot of cars ....including Lambos. Keep in mind that my vette is just plain stock, its not a Z06, c6 etc. ....but I dont know about beating a Hayabusa. To me its all about American muscle, but Hayabusas a freakin' SICK ! so all you haters, stop talkin' smack about Busas !!

A stock busa will take a stock vette at any speed. A turbo charged busa will take any steet legal car at any speed. Don't get me wrong. I do like corvettes, alot.

It is rather a rookie driver on that Busa that makes the difference.I have never met a vette on the street but even with my Z1000/07 that is REALLY classes behind the above bikes, I have not been beaten by the lambo galardo that tried to "play" with me last year. And this car is sold with 500hp as the specs say.
Thats great but just so you're aware, down a 1/4 mile drag race the Hayabusa (the fastest production bike atm is the BMW S1000RR) would smoke a Bugatti veryon. The Veryrons official time is 9.7 seconds while the Turbo Hayabusa is 9.28. Oh and when it comes to price, the Hayabusa is about $20,000 whilst the Veyron is $2,400,000. Now do the math, you could spend $35,000 at max to go 430km/h or $2.4million.

i agree the busa is a bit over hyped at times but ya gotta give it credit for being as fast as it is without any modifications.
Its a C5 Z06. 405 horsepower stock. But, this one has an aftermarket supercharger and supporting mods giving it a lot more power than that.

First: Quick question why is it that every bike vs car vid I see on you tube they always race on a Roll On, Why not from a dig to a reasonable distance like actual racers? Is Roll On a handicap for cars or something?
Tell them like it is man. These folks gotta be nuts. The Busa would walk away from the vette and lambo. It's got an amazing power to weight ratio that cannot be matched by these cars.
Everyone needs to stop saying the hayabusa is "scared" or they can't believe the lambo lost or some other such nonsense. It says the bike is the chase vehicle right in the video. Also, there are Corvettes out there that are 900hp+ and can beat any bike in top speed. Murciélagos are fast, but they're not 900hp killers.
@AZG1164 lol it doesn't take "heavy mods" to unrestricted top speed. fifty bucks and a half hour is all it takes for a Busa to kick even more ass than it does stock.
My only beef with the zr1 is most people cant tell the difference between the c6 for like 50k and 100k zr1. Spice that shit up, all vettes look the same. I don't want to spend a 100k on a car and see it on every block.
that is very true, i've seen street bikes that can out sprint some prostock drag cars. But listen to the corvette! 1. it definetly not stock, 2. the race started from a roll, (so the bike looses the lightning start)
The busa would win if it were stock vs stock or if it were mod vs mod. Now if you have a modded vette/lambo, it will win the stock busa. Also, the rider makes a world of difference. If they dont shift properly they will get smoked no matter what they are riding/driving. A lot of people are either hard core bike fans or hard core car fans but the truth of the matter is in a fair matchup on a straight (stock vs stock or mod vs mod) a bike wins every time on curves or track car wins.
yeah im with you if the busa's front end stays down then they're not on the throttle at all! i rode one and one twist and it pulled rightup. they cant drive anything hear how slow the shifts were in the vette?
It's not a bike issue, but a driver issue. I love cars as much as the next person, but hell, most 250cc bikes would accelerate faster than pretty much any car fit for driving on the street. A Hayabusa? It would be out of sight before the Lambo/Vette reached 60mph, if it were driven by an experienced driver.

2000hp would only be useful on a drag strip, even then all the busa needs is a set of drag tires. That busa would run 140 through S-turns easy while your "friends" monte carlo would be struggling for any sort of traction.
Impressive vehicles. Although, the comparison of stock to a non stock makes no sense to me. Run a modded Hayabusa versus a modded Corvette and that would be rational. Its like comparing apples to oranges.
I would love to race against this guy in the vet for slips with my Blackbird.... This guy with the Busa is giving the Busa a bad Reputation... I personally know that every gear is like a SHOT GUN when you know HOW TO FULLY OPEN THE FARKEN THROTTLE!!!!!!!

The busa would smoke both of those if they started accelerating from 0, and since that was a stock busa, it's top speed is limited, if the limitations would be taken off, it's go another 30-40mph faster without any other modifications...
I don't think a supercharger would bring a 40k Corvette to 75k, that's a huge difference. But yeah, bikes are still substantially cheaper
It said right at the beginning, the vette is supercharged. You can hear the supercharger whining on the in car footage.

If you take off the governor in the ECU that Hayabusa can do 200+ too. It also doesn't take five minutes to get there.
Vette does not "pull" on the Busa until the very end when the Vette is most likely doing 195+ as it stated against the Lambo which is faster than the top speed factory limit of 186 for the Busa. Still... it is an impressive car.

Well not that the corvette isn't bad...but just curious why you decided to start the busa race in 3rd gear on the bike (when 3rd gear is good for 115 mph-142 mph and I'm pretty sure you were going slower than that. Reason for the 3rd gear run in the hayabusa...so the front tire doesn't lift off the ground, get someone that can actually ride the motorcycle.
Was the Lambo and Busa just stock and Vette loaded to hell? Big fan of Hayabusa but props to the Corvette. Can't argue with the results.
I own a 2008, Red Crystal Corvette, and I've smoked alot of cars ....including Lambos. Keep in mind that my vette is just plain stock, its not a Z06, c6 etc. ....but I dont know about beating a Hayabusa. To me its all about American muscle, but Hayabusas a freakin' SICK ! so all you haters, stop talkin' smack about Busas !!

You guys should know what your taking about before commenting... i ride a hayabusa and that bike was not running it because it would have blown the doors off that lambo. I have raced quite a few super cars and none of them stood a chance.

A stock busa will take a stock vette at any speed. A turbo charged busa will take any steet legal car at any speed. Don't get me wrong. I do like corvettes, alot.

It is rather a rookie driver on that Busa that makes the difference.I have never met a vette on the street but even with my Z1000/07 that is REALLY classes behind the above bikes, I have not been beaten by the lambo galardo that tried to "play" with me last year. And this car is sold with 500hp as the specs say.

Thats great but just so you're aware, down a 1/4 mile drag race the Hayabusa (the fastest production bike atm is the BMW S1000RR) would smoke a Bugatti veryon. The Veryrons official time is 9.7 seconds while the Turbo Hayabusa is 9.28. Oh and when it comes to price, the Hayabusa is about $20,000 whilst the Veyron is $2,400,000. Now do the math, you could spend $35,000 at max to go 430km/h or $2.4million.
