    Hell yeah 👍🏻 if you’re going to 3D print why not update it to make it new. I totally approve on this. I’ve actually did the same thing with LEGO and toy model and w/ LEGO. It took me a long time to per-fect.

    The only interesting parts of this design, is the ability to move the eyes, The Tool arm and tip-toe mechanism, other than that it's an awkward looking design imo, and has some inaccuracies compared to designs by say, Sean Bastian, Sergey & the people from Input.Inc.
    And why is the Saint head armor on when it doesn't have the faceplate?

      Thank you for stopping by, and sharing your ideas on the model's design. You see when it comes to the modelling process, our contributing 3D designers happen to design the models from scratch generally deriving inspiration from popular fictional characters and objects. The same is true for the Johnny 5 3D Printing Model, and the author modelled it when being inspired by the Short Circuit movie on the whole without the intention to create the exact copy. That is why you can spot some discrepancies as well as features typical to this particular 3D printing model.
      You can also explore the way a finished 3D printed robot looks upon joining our welcoming FB group “Gambody - 3D Printing Community”:

    What are the red bits about i dont see them in the stl files

    • @Gambody_com
      @Gambody_com  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!
      The red bits you see in the video are actually 1.75 mm filament, not included in the files, but perfect for making hydraulic cables. For assembly, some parts like the fully articulated fingers may require "pins" that can be made from 1.75 mm PLA. Filament works well for this purpose. If you want to incorporate LEDs into your Johnny 5 model, LED wires can also be used as hydraulic cables to connect the parts.
      Let us know if you have any questions!

    Can I purchase a finished Johnny 5 that’s painted?

    • @Gambody_com
      @Gambody_com  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, here at Gambody, we deal solely with digital items, namely STL files meant for 3D printing. Kindly, be advised that we don’t relate to producing physical items, nor do we provide 3D printing services. In case you don’t own a 3D printer but crave to have your chosen Johnny 5 3D printing model in a tangible form, you can resort to the help of a 3D printing service provider available in your area. To find one, you can use the site called Treatstock (www.treatstock.com/), as it allows you to customize the purchased model enabling you to choose the desired scale, material/colour in which you want to have the model printed. Learn more here: gambody.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/360020281592.

      Btw applying for the help of a 3D printing service provider may result in a quite pricey finished 3D print. An alternative way of purchasing a 3D printer appears pretty reasonable these days, especially when you can purchase an FFF/FDM 3D printer for 180$ or less, while DLP/SLA technology machines cost approximately $250. You can greatly benefit, for instance, with our bundle items comprising Creality HALOT-ONE CL-60 Resin 3D Printer and two extremely detailed Gambody 3D printing models. 👍You can find all the bundles priced at $ 259.00 each in the special category on the marketplace over here: www.gambody.com/3d-files/3d-printers. For more information, feel free to contact us at support@gambody.com or via Facebook messages. 🤗

      We are glad that you took an interest in Gambody, and fancy this delicately designed Johnny 5 3D Printing Model. 😉Well, the model indeed boasts a strikingly detailed layout full of tiny numerous elements, the printing of which would surely require time and effort. Is this for I life sized Johnny 5 or a toy?

    • @Gambody_com
      @Gambody_com  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your mindful comment and also interest revealed in Johnny 5 3D Printing Model, we appreciate it. Well, for starters, all the models for 3D printing we feature are essentially meant to become an independent collectable piece on any fan’s shelf and come at the recommended default scale. Concerning the Johnny 5 3D Printing Model, then its scale was calculated from Johnny 5's actual height that is 1830 mm. The model's chosen scale is 1:8 and 1:16 for FFF/FDM and DLP/SLA/SLS versions respectively. Once printed at a default size, the robot is going to stand either 256 mm tall (FFF/FDM 1.0 version) or 131 mm tall (DLP/SLA/SLS 1.0 version). You can find this and other details on the model’s page, tab “Description” (www.gambody.com/3d-models/johnny-5-short-circuit).
      If you’re interested in having the model 3D printed at a life-size, it can be done, upon your wish. Thanks to the exquisitely elaborated level of detail, you can scale up Johnny 5 3D Printing Model all the way to fit your height, yet, there still can be a change in the overall model’s design. Anyway, you should also pay attention to the dimensions of the build plate of the 3D printing machine that you’re going to use. Also, make sure that you scale up all the parts of the model proportionally, and all the enlarged pieces fit the build volume of your printer.
      You can actually find real-life practices of bringing the models from Gambody to life at a huge size. The next post features a tremendous Freddy Krueger 3D printed figurine:

    Will this work on a resin printer?

    • @Gambody_com
      @Gambody_com  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sure thing, put your doubts aside!😉You see, most of the models for 3D printing we feature on Gambody (Johnny 5 3D Printing Model included) are adapted and optimised for different types of printers, namely FFF, FDM, DLP, SLA, SLS, LCD. Upon purchasing a model, you receive full access to all the available versions of the model and its future updates. Answering your question, you can go for printing the Johnny 5 3D Printing Model on your resin 3D printer. According to the type of your printing machine, the DLP/SLA/SLS 1.1 version of the model would be just right for you. The scale and cutting of this version are chosen to ensure that all the assembly parts would fit into the build plates of the most popular resin-based 3D printing machines, and the print would need a minimal amount of support constructions. You can find the needed version on the page of the model, in the "Source Files" tab ((www.gambody.com/3d-models/johnny-5-short-circuit). In case you need any extra assistance when preparing the model for printing, feel free to contact us at support@gambody.com or via Facebook messages and our representatives will gladly assist you! 🤗
