    Closely following you! Thinking about breaking away from ALMA before even getting started. I think I would rather do this myself

    What credentialing company do you recommend if you want to pay them to get you credentialed with insurance ?

      I used a company called GreenPoint Med: greenpointmed.com/

      @@matthewryanLCSW when you used this company for your private practice what was the cost? what are some benefits of using these agencies versus doing it on your own? do they also take a commission fee like Alma/headway?

      @@DivineEsme I can't remember specifically, but it was around 1100-1500 for paneling three providers with two insurance companies. This included securing a group contract. The benefit is that they will take care of most of the paperwork and bad back and forth with the insurance company. This is not necessarily difficult work, but time consuming. Second, they know a lot more about how credentialing works and how to negotiate, etc.No, the company I used did not take a commission. Just a flat rate for the work they did.

    Hello Matthew, thank you for your content! My husband and I are starting a private practice, he’s the counselor and I will be handling most of the admin. He is already credentialed with a lot of insurance panels, but it’s my understanding that we have to re-submit every 30 days to maintain his credentialing. We were looking into a tool for this called CAQH, but their customer support has not answered my requests for more info. Do you have any recommendations for this? Thank you!

    Would I be able to use Alma until I got credentialed on my own

      I don't see why that would be an issue

    Does this mean I can bill for my state-registered intern too?

    • @matthewryanLCSW
      @matthewryanLCSW  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Probably not. Interns usually are not covered with insurance panels. However, it would not hurt to ask

    Matthew, why accept insurance when dealing with the ins companies is a headache? Cash pay oon is a win win for our patients and ourselves. Ins feels abusive.

      To be more accessible to clients. Not everyone has the means to self pay. Lots of my clients are able to get the therapy they NEED because we can take insurance. It's fine if you don't want to take insurance, but there are definitely pros to taking it and Matthew does discuss that in the video.
