Hi Jennifer :) Just wanted to pass by to say thank you for the information you are giving. While I am just a credentialing analyst right now for a healthcare staffing agency, my dream is to own and operate my own credentialing company here in the DMV. I am starting with this video of yours to gain more insight into the industry (outside of my common knowledge of RN/Allied credentialing). I want to work my way through this playlist entirely while taking notes - but after this playlist is concluded, what are the next series of videos I should watch?
Thank you so much for watching and I am glad you are finding it helpful! I would recommend my Step-By-Step Credentialing playlist after this one. Feel free to email me with questions as well: jennifer@icsolns.net. Good luck!
If you are referring to starting a Credentialing and Contracting business, it should not be too competitive. The key is marketing yourself effectively so medical providers and groups know you are out there. However, the challenge is being able to make money only offering credentialing and contracting services. Credentialing takes a lot of time, so it is very difficult to make it a profitable business by only offering these services unless you charge a high rate that people are willing to pay. That is why many credentialing and contracting businesses also offer other services, or require you to use them as their billing company as well. If you are new to credentialing, I do offer a Credentialing and Contracting course to teach the fundamentals of the job. You can find it here: navigatingthebusinessofmedicine.thinkific.com/courses/healthcare-credentialing-and-contracting Good luck and thank you for watching!
Thank you so much for this video! I was recently hired on to do some credentialing work, and this video is so helpful! Thank you for all you do
You are so welcome and I am glad you found it helpful! Good luck with your new role, that is very exciting.

Do you provide consulting services to new clinics or start ups. If you do, what would be the best way to reach out to you?
Thank you for reaching out. I have responded to your email.
@navigatingthebusinessofmedicine are you a credential specialist yourself? If so, do you work with new physicians?
I have done credentialing in the past, but not anymore. I have worked with many new physicians. I will respond to your email :)
How competitive is trying to start this type of business.
